Anyone have experience using this in the pursuit of road runners?

    Yep

It’s a little small. Definitely too small for a road runner. Probably best suited for Speedy Gonzales or Tweety Pie.

Road Runner approves. Shame it's not ACME as they are the far superior brand for anvils.

    Someone call the RSPCA

Not voting either way as the casting is going to be a hit-and-miss affair.

As a free alternative and if you like early 80s new romance, you could always listen to The Anvil by Steve Strange on YouTube.

You are much better going to a car boot or local auction, get an old one made of proper metal, modern castings are really weak

Same with spades, garden forks (you'll soon be fed up the shiny tines break first stone or root & the others bend any wet soil), pickaxes, vices & similar get used ones that have clearly stood up to years of abuse & will do so for many more. Prices are next to nothing but full-size anvil is quite a carry. If you are at all rural look out for local agricultural auctions.

I've always fancied owning an anvil.

"Item arrives in packaging that reveals what's inside. To hide it, choose Ship in Amazon packaging." Better select Amazon packaging, someone might try and steel your crate full of anvils.
