They have been trying to get rid of these for over 2 years. They are (apparently) the pieces from unsold 'limited edition' magazines that made up a full set. Therefore the very high probability is that you'll get the same set every time.
It'll also be nigh-on impossible to get the rest, as Eaglemoss have gone to the wall (RIP).

I got 3 figures as part of a bundle recently, as a gift. They were so BADLY MADE, that I was embarrassed to gift them. One figure (Wormtongue) was so poor that the face looked like it melted off and it was hard to guess who it even was.

Very, very hard pass on this.

Be careful if you plan to order multiple boxes, I bought 2 for my dad last Christmas and they sent me 2 exactly the same 🙈 Wouldn't do a refund or a replacement either, proper buyer beware with this one

I guess "mystery set" doesn't mean "random set" for them, rather "we are not telling you what's inside the box". Very sketchy if you ask me.

Checking the reviews, it seems that several people got the same set as well.

I bought a set a couple of months ago for a lot more than this. The pieces are really well made. I gifted them and recipient has put they on display on a shelf. Well worth the 9.99

Erm, no thanks - if they are chess pieces and being sold as "random" then what's the point?
Also are they resin or lead?

Both. Most likely it has lead inside to give weight to the set, and metallic resin is the outer shell.

This set has the exact same pieces in it no matter how many you buy (check ebay you will see same ones time and again). Decent figures but now I am spending loads on ebay as making a full set, so beware . 😁
