Hot from me as I'd rather not use 7DS
I've got various makes including the lidl and 7dayshop ones both normal and LSD. i find the LSD take longer to charge and last a bit longer even though the mag rating is slightly lower. i suspect they are better quality as they are lsd. As for as brands go i don't find much difference between them, let's face it the majority are all going to be made in the same place with a different wrapper on. Stick to a brand so you know your getting the true mag and you can go too far wrong
Ikea batteries are also good, they're all made in Japan and the high capacity white ones are rumoured to be eneloop pro's - they're also cheap.
I bought Vapextech rechargeable batteries years ago when they first appeared, well when they first got promoted on the forums, and they were great. Then a while later I bought loads more higher capacity ones and was very disappointed. I still have most, if not all, of the originals but slowly the more recent ones have failed one by one. Presumably, they have batteries made by various manufacturers, so these may be made by a completely different manufacturer, and be perfectly good, but my previous poor experience put me off the brand.

7DayShop are better value for rechargeables... cold :(
Hmm.. 7Dayshop ones are good for TV remotes, these ones are on comparison with Eneloop's or Eneloop Pro's.
Ie high output devices like DSLR flashguns, RC planes, LED torches etc..
Apples to Oranges :{
Edit: But, on saying that, Lidl ones (when available) are better than 7dayshop ones if you wanted budget.
but these are not LSD so nothing like Eneloops or Lidl's Trionics.
Have you tried LSD vs none LSD of lately (within 2-3 years?).
The Vapextech LSD are better than Eneloops (through experience on flashguns). If you use the device within 6 months its worth going none LSD for the capacity and load discharge advantage (again imo, but you're welcome to experience that yourself, its not going to break the bank to try :)).
??? you're the one who compared them to Eneloops.

I ordered a gaming headset from Game 10 days ago, still not here, and i am on the verge of asking for a refund, especially when i see ones like this for a quarter of the price that work on xbox one.

Heat...."I SAID HEAT DEAR.........YES DEAR, IT IS COLDER THESE DAYS, I KNOW,YES,TAKE YOUR HEADPHONES OFF DEAR...........YOUR HEADPHONES......TAKE EM OFF......NO!...NOT THOSE, YOUR HEADSE....OH never mind......"

Can I use this on the bus and tube to listen to music and look like a badass?
Gingeforlife
I know it says 360 only but any hope of them working with xbox one or pc? I know there were adapters and changes made to the pads.
Similar questions on amazon. Check there for best reply.
If you can find the wii u version that has the 3.5mm.

But these are horrible, I upgraded mine after first use. Very tight and cause soreness, hardly any bass (expected really as not powered) although the mic is quite clear there is no feedback.

Oh, looking at it, the XLA uses a 2.5mm connector, so you'll need the 3.5mm adapter, too.

Managed to get the cinetic big ball musclehead for £149.99 from the same place and it came next day.
Was brand new with all the packaging and stickers still on.
Which is better? Animal or Musclehead?
The Animal comes with an additional vacuum head which is brilliant for carpets/pet hair etc. I have the Animal and I haven't felt the need to use the Musclehead attachment on any type of floor to date.
Should also add that I managed to get a 5 year warranty (rather than the standard 2 for refurbished items) which was an added bonus!
How did you manage the warranty?
Yes.. I'd be interested as well
Just registered online and it gave me 5 years not 2! Just a bit of luck I guess?

I will never use paypal or ebay to sell things specially paypal as some claimed there money back via bank as an unrecognised/dispute transactions and then paypal claimed the money back from me cheeky **** was about 9 months later such bull *** the person blatantly waited and obviously new why on earth would you wait that long to say oh hang on that random transaction isnt right. Plus when i said to paypal its not write they said they have no power to stop it happening so i said so in theory i can buy a high value item and wait past 6months then go to my bank and reverse transaction she said basically yes although it wrong oO
Wow. I gave up half way through your post. Do you know how to use spelling, grammar and punctuation?

It might be old thinking now but it used to be that the only filler inside the actual helmet was basically polystyrene - surprisingly effective but can only be used once, hence don't drop it!
Dropping the lid is more likely to damage the outside than the liner. The polystyrene liner compresses in an accident from the pressure of your head inside it. If you just drop it then the liner won't get compressed so it shouldn't be an issue. Not that I'm encouraging anyone to drop their lid! I certainly agree that a helmet that fits properly is far more important than any star rating it might be given. That's why you should never buy mail order without trying it on.
It might be old thinking now but it used to be that the only filler inside the actual helmet was basically polystyrene - surprisingly effective but can only be used once, hence don't drop it! I assume that's still the case so I did used to pay attention to the Sharp rating but I'm now of the feeling that there probably isn't that much difference between helmets as long as they're all certified, if you get me.
A heavy or uncomfortable 5* helmet wouldn't be better for you than a light one that fits perfectly and gives you confidence but is only 2 or 3*. Interested to hear if people agree or disagree though.
Great price but I found hjc wasn't quite snug enough for my head.

I ended up buying an Agv gt veloce and couldn't be happier.
Nice and light at 1400g, makes my Shoei Neotec seem positively leaden!! Great price but doesn't do so well in the SHARP test (and I know many people take a jaundiced view of these anyway)

This is another reason why eBay and nectar should, give to all not just those their 'clever' marketing department are targeting. Now they have unhappy customers.

I have loads of Nectar pts but never converted to vouchers. I have a couple ebay items won today (total both 11quid 2 diff sellers). I got the Nect/ebay deal via email.
If I convert 2000 pts to vouchers (worth 10 quid) what happens at checkout? Total will be 11 quid inc p/p.
Pay 10 quid (2000 Nec pts) but what about the floating quid to make 11 quid? Will I be allowed to make that up from my Paypal account?
I do NOT want to find out I needed more vouchers.
Cheers to anyone who can help. I did try contact online chat but person I was dealing with was vague, very vague!
Yes the remaining you will pay using your PayPal account. The 50% points will be added back to you. Guess there is some time line for it.

This is the cheapest by a long way I can find the V8 Absolute.
Yes it's refurbished, but that's by Dyson and still comes with a warranty so is as new.
thanks op. I wouldnt neccessarily get one of the v8's because i do think they are little bit overpriced, however I have been in the market for one of their cinetic animal big ball vacs, and waiting for a sale. £189 with a 2 year warranty compared to a new one at £469 is a steal, so i bought it :)

Saw a program this week about buying goods from Europe that were not covered by the manufacturer warranty and could be fake

We are still members of the EU and if Samsung UK fail to recognise that fact where warranty is concerned then I think they may be in breach of EU regulations which specifically governs warranties of goods purchased within the EU. Although they could argue it does not carry any warranty under UK regulations they cannot argue with EU Directives. Obviously all of the aforementioned only applies if any sales take place which seeing as this phone must at least 4 years old now I don't think there are going to be many, if any at all.

was just gonna ask this? I has an analogue radio and the batteries lasted for ages! As i tought radios don't use much it was always the tape mechanism that used to cain the batteries when younger lol!

But after buying a DAB the batteries were useless! Lasted about three weeks and then gone! For a radio. Whats this like on batteries can someone please post?
so does it support dab+ or not?

How can it be up to 24 hour playback when it is supposed to be up to 240 watt output, yet only has a "Built-in, rechargeable, 7,2V, 2200mAh, Li-Ion" battery. Clearly a load of old BS for suckers. Don't waste your money!

My Makita radio will last for pretty much 24 hours on a 2Ah battery as long as you don't rinse out the volume, so I would say this is fairly accurate

The key phrase is 'up to 240 watt'. Also it is possible via the mains supply rather than battery.

Yep. You clearly know your stuff.
Thanks for the well argued case.

ebay logoeBay’s History and Progression

Pierre Omidyar founded eBay in 1995. Within two years of its launch eBay had already grown to host over two million auctions, when its success drew millions in venture capital to cope with the increasing customer demand, employee base and millions in revenue. Thanks to eBay, it took Omidyar just three years to become a billionaire after the company was listed on the stock market in 1998.

Taking full advantage of acquisitions iBazar and PayPal in 2002, eBay was able to control even more auctions around the world and increase revenues by managing most payments made through the site itself, rather than spending company time dealing with cheques clearing through the banking system. Fast forward to today and eBay employees number in the thousands, users in the millions, and revenues in the billions.

How eBay Works

Sellers on eBay range from the casual private user to the niche eBay store owner and professional retailer, dealing in large quantities of regularly stocked items. Items are listed as an auction, with the option to add a hidden reserve price that must be reached before the item is sold, and/or the Buy it Now-option, which displays the price the seller will accept for the item to the first buyer willing to match that price.

Feedback is gold on eBay, with sellers doing all they can to attract five star ratings and maintain buyers’ trust. Plus, the blue and yellow ribbons you can see on some listings on www.eBay.co.uk indicate that the seller of that item will allocate a certain amount of the final selling price to go to the charity of their choice.

eBay Categories

Today, eBay hosts auctions within categories on its site at ebay.co.uk such as:

  • Collectables – Once all the rage on eBay when it first started, this category is still a mecca for antique dealers, stamp collectors, and fans of other rare items.
  • Electronics – Brand new, refurbished, and second hand laptops, tablets, computers, TVs, phones, cameras, video games, and games consoles.
  • Jewellery and Beauty – Not only does this category list stunning new and vintage jewellery, but also box sets to begin making and selling your own individual pieces.
  • Motors – The place to sell or buy used and classic cars, motorbikes, boats, and automotive parts and accessories.
  • Fashion – A huge collection of new and second hand clothing for men, women, and children; all with lots of filter options to find your size, style, and favourite brand.
  • Pre-Owned Picks – A special category where eBay will collect a constantly-updating selection of second hand goods they believe are worth taking a look at.

You can also sign up for a Deals & Events Newsletter on the website to ensure you don‘t miss out on a worthwhile bargain. Furthermore, eBay is a very active participant of the annual shopping event Black Friday and Cyber Monday at the end of November.

eBay Auctions and Payment Terms

In order to participate in an auction, you will be asked to sign in or register for an eBay account, which verifies your identity and preferred payment method before you can bid on items. If however, you wish to purchase Buy It Now items on eBay, you may use pay as a guest, with the option to register for an account afterwards at the checkout.

Items sold on eBay.co.uk have to offer PayPal as a payment option. This is the preferred choice for buyers thanks to its ease of use and speed. Buyers without a PayPal account will also be guided through the process to pay using their credit or debit card. Other payments methods allowed on the site include bank transfers, cheques, cash from a local pick up, and postal orders.

eBay Seller’s Shipping Policies

Shipping depends entirely on the seller. Both private and professional sellers must input their own delivery information and set their prices for postage and packing. Some of them are free of charge, some include shipping within the total price to make things easier for the buyer, while others will set the shipping costs by location, insurance level, and/or estimated delivery date. What’s more, if you’re buying more than one item from an eBay store, it may be possible to request delivery in a single shipment to reduce delivery costs.

Returns Policy from eBay Sellers

With regards to customer returns, the seller may determine his/her own return policy.  In most cases, you will be able to return a faulty item or one that is not as described in the listing. Follow these steps to return an item:

  1. Sign in to “My eBay“ and click the link “Return this item“ from the drop-down menu next to the item in the Purchase History section.
  2. Select your reason for returning the item and add photos if necessary.
  3. eBay will create a returns label and address for you to include on the returns package, which must be sent within 5 working days. You can track the status of your returned package in My eBay. Note that you will have to pay any return shipping costs yourself unless the seller states otherwise or the item is not as described in the listing.
  4. After receiving the returned item, the seller then has 6 working days to refund your account.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee protects you in any situation where the seller won’t accept the return of a faulty good or misrepresented item. As long as you contact the seller within 14 days then you qualify for the return under this eBay policy.

How to Return an Item to eBay

eBay on Social Media

With such a massive user base and available marketing budget, it would be peculiar if eBay did not have a large presence on social media sites:

eBay also provides a forum board on their website for their vast community. The eBay for Business blog is the place for eBay sellers to read success stories, get tips on how to sell and make their eBay business grow, as well as find tools to make the selling process easier.

The eBay iOS and Android App

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, an Android smartphone or tablet, the eBay app is great for buying and selling on the move. It’s designed specifically for use on a mobile device to make bidding and managing items easier. For instance, you can scan the barcode of the product you want to sell, which will be picked up by the app and used to complete the majority of the product description for you.

eBay Customer Support

eBay’s Customer Service section at ebay.co.uk walks you through the process of finding an answer to your questions by narrowing down the options after each step, within the topic of your query. If you’re still not happy with the final answer, you can call eBay during normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 8am and 10pm and weekends from 9am to 6pm. The phone number and a unique, one-off passcode are given to you when you select the call option. They also have live web chat options for select questions.

The eBay page on HotUKDeals will keep you up to date about the latest and best deals on eBay.
