Excellent price reduction if you can travel over the next few weeks. I don't know what the site is like, but it's a cheap and cheerful few days away from home. Hope it helps someone out there.

I posted this deal in good faith, like I've said before I've not been and cannot comment on what it is or isn't like. It's a good deal for people who need a break but don't have much money. I don't know what your problem COJones is? if you don't like it, why couldn't you just have said it's not a nice place and you wouldn't recommend people to go there? instead of insulting people? I did not post this for it to get hot, to get people's back up or to have others insulting each other. I merely posted it as it is a 'good deal's in my opinion. After reading the above I don't think I shall be posting anything ever again.

I whole-heartedly agree - you typify that ignorance beutifully by trying to be a smart a*se and not reading properly lol. I I didn't say it was Jawick itself - rather that but caravans - so, perhaps learn to read properly before you spout (_;)
Perhaps learn to write before you complain about people's reading skills.
As for your post #14, I gave up trying to understand that one.
Wow a typo monitor - great achievement in your life (_;) I'm sorry you couldn't understand my post #14; guessing you hail from Jaywick X) OK, you can have the last word sadsack :{
And there was me thinking it was you that came from Jaywick.......:D

I have to say - after having very regretfully stayed there and therefore qualified to comment (guessing some respondents haven't) - what the hell is the point in having a go at someone who has experienced the 'deal' and to say - nope, still not good value! This isn't 'who can post the lowest price for a turd' and everyone get's back slaps for the post - and that is a turd that cannot be polished.

Also, it wasn't an attack on the poster - clearly it was a warning - i.e. not starting off 'hey OP you idiot' etc.etc.) but 'hey' watch-out'!

So if you post a deal for salmonella infected chicken at 20p a kilo - should I defend what an amazing price for an awful product; If it's my post, should I get upset my I didn't get 'heat' because someone doesn't agree it's a good deal and to warn others...hmmmm- So, before experience and common sense are classed as ignorance (by the ignorant); maybe think on that.

BTW - Seawick lovers/approvers; I've got some magic beans for sale here - they'll erm...turn into a Rolls Royce if you don't offend them... wanna buy them...only £400k - great deal X)X):p

IT'S AN EFFING HELL HOLE - guys - there's a programme on TV called Jaywick - well...it's that but in dog-turd caravans... ABSOLUTELEY AVOID - horrendous place!!! HUKD admin - it's on occasions like this you need to allow actual swear words!!!
Love the ignorance on HUKD. One little problem for you - this isn't actually Jaywick. It's not that far from Jaywick, but it's certainly far enough away from it for people to be able to have a great holiday for the price.

OK - it may not be the most luxurious place in the world, but for the price it's a bargain. It's infininitely better than no holiday at all.
Check your facts before you spout. :D

Its a good price but be aware the basic chalets here are VERY basic - like being in a 1960's timewarp. They look like sheds from the outside.
The club is good though.

Please please please do your research before buying into some of these deals!!! This place is a dive!! It was formally a pontins which got so run down they were losing more money than they were making... Plug sockets hanging off the walls etc, so bad it closed in 2008. By late 2009 the place was completely falling apart, rat infested, druggies sleeping there etc and the council had to step in and order pontins to tidy up the derelict site. Pontins did the minimum and sold (though maybe gifted) it to Hoseasons. Ok, hoseasons have tried but the chalets still stink of rat/human urine among other things and when a place has been through as much as this has the only realistic repair is a bulldozer! Equally, Hemsby itself is a very basic, run down resort with the beach being the only redeeming quality.

Nothing has ever been done at all at the old pontins sight it's closed down completely and boarded up get your facts right
Maybe you should take heed of your own advice and do some research!
This park isn't owned by Hoseasons and the pontins site you refer to was, last year at least, still empty and the subject of possible housing development, so not Hemsby beach holiday park at all.
I am not endorsing this park by any means as I haven't been there and even stated in the op that it's not the best, £58 for 4 nights it's not going to be!
it's not really fair to people who may have booked for you to start scaremongering with misguided information though!

I must be a bit slow but whatever I try to book is £35 more than advertised after taking off insurance, the minimum price I can get is £35 more than advertised no matter what park I look at?
Here's how to get the advertised price:
Go To Top Cashback and click through to Hoseasons if you want the 5% cashback if not go to Hoseasons on the link
Select Holiday Parks.
In The Quick search box select Devon or Cornwall put in the date 18/04/14, number of nights(3) and the number of people going(6).
Choose your park and accommodation at the prices shown.
Now on the booking page remove the £16 insurance so it read 0, and now for the sneaky part, click on booking conditions and remove the £18 (this is well hidden and easy to miss) booking fee. Price should come out to the advertised price.
If you make any amendments or changes to the form after removing the booking charge and insurance the site automatically adds it back in, so make sure you remove it again.

Hope that makes sense,

Perfect: missed the link for booking conditions, works out as advertised now, cheers :-) thanks for posting

Thank you! Just booked! So they do still have availability atm! Did our research and weigh up the comments, but where else can you get a holiday for 3 nights for a family for £99? 5 adults thats £20 per head or less than £6.50 per night per person! Plan to be out and about exploring the area anyway, so as long as the accommodation is clean and basic that is fine. Looking forward to chilling with the family!
We stayed here last October, driving into the park we instantly thought about turning around however it was a lovely break, very cheap and cheerful, at the price you dont expect the ritz. It is dated and a little damp but you can make the chalets cosy and for the amount of time you spend in them its bareable as the town is in walking distance and lovely. I wouldnt dread your stay!

I have this booked for may 19th. absolutely dreading it after reading herrendous reviews on trip advisor but they have new accommodation built so im hopeful... ish!
I worked on this site when I was a a student. It's cheap, damp, smelly and I wouldn't stay there if someone paid me!! There are lots of other places that mean you'll want to come back again and again. Don't waste your money, save up and book accommodation for next year instead (and somewhere else that's actually in st ives!!)

It is John Fowler, very bad Trip Advisor reviews but for £99 it's still not bad if you can put up with it. The location is actually several miles out of St Ives so you'd have to drive, catch a bus or train into St Ives itself. We always stay at St Ives Holiday Bay in Hayley, much nicer and on the beach.

Bit confused here, looking at the Trip Advisor reviews for this year more good than bad, 3x5 star, 4X4 star 1X3star, 1X2 star and 2X1 star reviews so far in 2014. is it really that bad there? thought it would make a nice cheap holidays break especially as it's school holidays,
