About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Huawei E5332 is back in Stock for £25 at Tesco Direct, usually sells for £30
This smart 3G device takes a standard sim card and once unlocked (99p), it can be used worldwide by using any local sim card.
I use mine to connect to my ipad and hence no need to get a 3G ipad and 5 devices can connect at once. I prefer this device as when i Tether using my phone, it lkills my battery within a short space of time.
With the Huawei E5332 you can connect your laptop, tablet or netbook to your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot. This ultra light palm-sized wireless receiver creates an internet bubble that can be shared with up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices. The Huawei E5332 can be used at home or on the go and features a rechargeable battery with a maximum working time of 5 hours.
Its locked to T mobile and usually comes with a T mobile PAYG sim card. I can recommend the seller below to unlock or smgreen

sorted byInsert the SIM card (not from EE, Orange or Tmobile) into the unit.
Use laptop/tablet and connect to the mifi's wireless network (wifi name and security key are found on label on back of the battery cover).
Start up web browser.
If nothing appears, enter 192.168.1.1
A page should appear giving you 10 chances to correctly enter the unlocking code.

Had experience unlocking these more than 10 times with no problems whatsover. Check the description of this listing and you'll see a link to unck. In order to unlock, insert a foreign sim cad and connect wirelessly from your device (laptop, ipad, etc) to thiis mifi device (wireless name and password under the cover). Once connected, insert the unlock code obtained from ebay and it should say unlock successful. Henceforth, you'll be able to use any sim card. if you need to login to the mifi, connect to http://192.168.1.1 and the default username and password is admin. Hope this helps
Tried to find one cheaper when they went out of stock last time but nothing came close, only used models on eBay for the same price!
Just ordered one

Cheers for the fast reply I'll give it a shot later! Voted hot btw this will be great for my dad going into hospital next week! He can keep in touch with the grandkids thank you
Feel free to PM me if need be, I now knnow these devices like the back of my hand
Many thanks for info, sounds straight forward.
I haven't tried the Delight ones but see no reason why it wouldn't work. I used an Ovivo sim for 14 months until they went bust recently, that was free and good while it lasted.
Apologies, foreign as in "a different sim card to the T-mobile one that ships with the device". A UK sim works a treat.
I had to get a converter to use my iPhone Micro SIM in the mifi device. When researching which to get I read a lot of horror stories about people who messed up their phones using a poorly made converter. The one I chose was ridiculously expensive for a piece of plastic (£3.99) but does the trick and I would recommend it: amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1.
Very pleased with it battery last ages unlike tethering phone
To anyone that has one of these, what SIM did you get and what deal?
I have tried to Google it and find this
http://compnetworking.about.com/od/wirelesshotspots/f/what-is-mifi.htm
So my understanding as it works s a hotpot and could connect up to five wify enable devices to access it.
If I put my slip my SAMBA SIMCARD (running three network) with data allowance in this gadget on my rucksack while I am on the street...
Could my mobile phone with Vodafone, O2, TalkTalk SIMcard will access to this hotspot ??
Is there any set up required ???
I am sorry for my ignorance .. Appreciate any help ....
Exactly, as long as that mobile phone is wifi enabled you'll be fine.
GSM forum free unlock codes just register if your not a member post your model number and IMEI and someone will give you a code, it took 10 minutes for me at around 9pm last Wednesday.

That's good going considering on the box it state 5 hours when the wifi is turned off
Battery life is only around 5-6 hours BUT i liked it. I did use an anker battery to charge it on the go to be fair. But the usb connection is good to go and cheap to replace the cable. Mine was unlocked from amazon, i tested it with a cheapo data sim here before taking it abroad. People over there wanted to buy it from me!

Just read about Giff Gaff. Good network but they will not allow you to tether. Unsure if this affec
Only trouble with giff gaff is they don't allow tethering
Samba sim will work fine, that is how I use my Mifi, have had it a while.
Although recently DNS can play up and sometimes it doesn't work, as a workaround I have used 8.8.8.8 as my DNS server.
On you phone you just need to connect to Wi-fi, then connect to the Mifi device which will appear in the search.
I don't think that's actually true anymore, not in every case anyway
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Tethering-policy/ta-p/7816336
Tethering is strictly forbidden on all goodybags that contain unlimited data allowance (£12 and upwards), but is authorised on the goodybags with a limited data allowance (Hokey Cokey, the £7.50 goodybag and the £10 goodybag).
It is authorised on all gigabags and also authorised if your mobile internet usage is being charged from your airtime balance.
Do you have to use it with the tmobile sim before you can unlock it? Or if I don't put the SIM card in and just provide the imei no will that be ok? I've got one of these I bought ages ago with a tmobile some never used but I want to try the vectone/delight SIM cards I've picked up from £1 land:)
Thanks in advance
Giffgaff allow tethering on fixed data plans, but not on unlimited data plans

You don't have to insert the T-mobile sim prior to unlocking. You just need the IMEI number and a foreign sim (vectone/delight ).
I may just do that lol! Have you tried the delight sims in these? The free £10 credit ones? Just think they'd be ideal for my dad just to waste while having his treatment in hospital.
