This 4G mobile broadband allows you to connect up to 10 devices wirelessly and it's been the cheapest for a while. It's rarely under £100 on Amazon. I've been tracking this on camel and haven't seen it this cheap, although some might feel it's still expensive.

Unlocked to all networks
Support 10 WiFi enabled devices
150Mbps download speed

I have this unit and it takes a FULL size SIM a word of warning with adaptors to convers micro and nano SIMs

The SIM holder on this unit is a closed design so the SIM slips into a slot and clicks into place.

If you use an adapter and the SIM falls out of the adapter then then contacts for the card reader jam in the slot and the SIM falls into the unit and the adapter is jammed by the contacts.

This is a great unit but I'd recommend using full size sims.

Do not be tempted to use the cut out from an old SIM as an adaptor.

Also if unlocking the unit make sure if you are using a table or phone to unlock you set your browser to DESKTOP mode as the unit does not show the full interface need to unlock when a mobile browser is used.

It is also cheaper to buy this.

£50 for the device plus one month at £16.

It is likely the first month they'll give free anyway as a bonus.

After cancelling unlock on ebay for £1.

The 6Gb EE sim is still available in Argos for £14.99 too - picked a couple up this morning for my iPad!

Top device. Bought a couple of these from ee, unlocked them for a quid and the re flashed to un branded huawei firmware.

Super fast, bit bulky if u want to carry in pocket etc. but definitely the best mifi device around.

Only downside is sometimes, when I put a different SIM card in, it switches between a perfect signal and a "no service " message. This could be due to using a combi sim. So try to get a proper full size sim card and not a smaller one in an adaptor. This is stated in the manual and also on a plastic sticker on the device. I've posted this problem on various forums without an adequate response.

I damaged one if these using an adaptor with micro sim, that will teach me never to do that.

Totally agree, it's best to use a standard sim card as I once rendered the device and sim useless by using an adapter and another occasion I mistakenly inserted a micro sim and the rest is history.

It's unlocked, so my understanding is that you can use any SIM card worldwide but I stand to be corrected. I know it works in Europe.

'Unlocked' is 'Unlocked'? .. meaning 'ANY SIM' from 'ANYWHERE' is quite literally 'Good To Go' ok? lol. :-)

If you want a 4G data only sim Id suggest the 6gb EE sim thats expires after 3 month either from Amazon at £18.60 or from Tesco for £20

  17. L88's avatar
Yeah fair enuf it's unlocked but can you use sims that don't allow you to tether was more my question. Not what network sims can u use.

Would the sim prevent you from doing so if it was inside this? Or is it just the network prevents it when inside a phone
  18. bodeiseifer's avatar
pretty sure a sim designed for a phone would not work, sims designed for mifi on 3 dont work in phones.

No Three SIM detect the device and divert you to a web page saying you cannot use this SIM in a MyFi

Ovivo did not have this restriction

Using one of these mifi routers right now in our motorhome.
It's unlocked, so we just put in whatever sim we need to give best speed. Also recently used it in France using an SFR sim.

If you mean SIM, then yes you can use a 3G one. This supports everything up to HSPA+ as well as LTE.

Hello. I want to buy this sim as it's on a half price deal but I don't plan to start using it till my current one runs out in over a months time.

If it has a 3 month expired does that star from the time you buy it or can I buy it and start using it in over a months time without losing using time on sim. Thanks.

That offer's no longer available, it's now £49.99 for the device and £16 monthly contract, the downside being you will be credit checked and the device is locked to EE. I suppose if anyone wants to go through the hassle, it's worth it and approximately £10 cheaper.

There was a better deal at the end of March. Free device from EE, and £21 per month on a rolling 30 day contract. Plus £32 cashback. Was only around for a day, and needed a call or 2 to EE but it worked!!

Re unlocking. Absolutely worth it. The free online sources did not work. Rather pay the £1 to an ebay seller with high feedback.

Re: flashing the firmware. No huge advantage or difference. I found a link online (from the German huawei site- but software in English ) , only difference I can see is the removal of all ee branding and ability to update when huawei release new software versions.
