Think the £39 rooms will be in low demand hotels, they should release a list of destinations at least then it doesn't feel like a wild goose chase
Thanks for the post pal, maybe others will have luck but I could only find silly prices at my local - easily beatable on the usual websites ( and I have points that need using up).

Not sure what IHG are thinking with this so called offer.

Maybe others will have luck but for me I will stick with the old "friends n family link" that still works.
Only via the app
The link doesn't seem to work in the app.
Found one £39 room in Rotherham, wasn't even searching there!

Crowne Plaza is far more cheaper than Hotel Indigo.
Guess it depends where you look,Indigo Hotel in Glasgow comes out significantly cheaper than Crowne Plaza when doing a search and similar prices in Edinburgh.
Correct, but normally you compare it with the same location. Like HIX in London is much expensiver than intercontinental in Egypt.

In place until end of June. Book a Friday/Saturday night stay using the Opening Rate - Try Us Out deal and get a room inc breakfast for 2 adults.
This is a brand new hotel 5 minutes walk from airport, the deal also includes free wifi and late check out.
Above average buffet breakfast and if you are Spire/Platinum member you should get upgrade to club room as i did which includes free refreshments in the club lounge(including alcohol) from 17.30 to 21.00.
£5 parking charge although i got it free,no ticket dispensed.
I think you mean @ Intercontinental Hotel Group. Indigo is just one of their brands as is Crowne Plaza.
Yes when i posted the deal i gave a link to IHG website but for some reason the admin changed it to Indigo.

Every time i have seen this £29 rate the rooms seem to be unavailable in most parts of the country. Im sure its just an advertising farce
I think they had very few headline grabbing £29 rooms on sale. Suckered me in and wasted a half an hour looking for something decent
Well I got one in Lichfield for Valentines'. ;-)

[quote=johnraggett] Normally get loads of £10/20 rooms for January about this time of year come on sale by a few of the chains. Got my folks a few nights away the past few years, but looks a no go this year or maybe I'm to early.
I Think those days are gone from what i've heard unfortunately. I've had many £9 Travelodge rooms ( including Covent Garden & London City Road ) in the past & the brilliant Campanile £1 room sale - when i managed to get 7 different hotels over the December / january period about 3 years ago. Fingers crossed those kind of deals return ;)[/

Haha, those Campanile deals were unreal. We had no kids at the time so took full advantage of them with different stays around the midlands. Oh and they were at least 5 years ago believe it or not
It's scary John how time flies. I remember doing Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton & Coventry ( Probably a couple more ) , & yes, it may well have been 5 years ago. The Coventry one reminded me of Butlins , the way the rooms were set out. Love those deals back :)

Haha, I done all 4 of them for a quid with the Milton Keynes or Northampton one being the best, brand new, it was inbetween the two towns so not too sure which one. The Cov one is very old school, I pass it most days!

Ha! Just read the "HeadForPoints" piece on this and it appears that this offer is instead of the £25 sale, so I'm glad I've booked!
I've just booked a London HI Express for £49 a night.
For the last couple of years they have had a "Christmas Sale" at the end of Nov. when the same rooms have been £25; but I decided not to risk it. I'd kick myself if I left it in the hope they'd do the same and then didn't!
This link has defo been modified since midnight when the flash sale started. They where offering heaps more hotels & managed to book Holiday inn Kensington for £49. :)

although this is still working
