I bought one of these a month ago as we'll as a 4 pack of IKEA rechargeable batteries (the bigger powered AA's) for use in my XBOX One controllers and they work great! This is the normal price in IKEA though
fire risk :D
Voted hot, the Liitokala is stll about 3 quid, does Li's too:

Apparently Ikea rechargeable batteries are actually Eneloop's in disguise - they're all made in Japan.
As for this charger, I have couple and use them for reviving deeply discharged cells that my smart charger wont recognise. A minute or so in one of these and they're ready to go on the smarty.

Not that smart then, really, is it? :p

Isn't the tea in the form of a tea-bag, which is one only at the cash desk I believe, so no tea refills?
I drink coffee, that's why I can't say for certain.
the tea bags at Wembley IKEA are by the hot water so you can go back for a refill. no idea if the same everywhere
Same at Southampton IKEA
I've used the "free" drink with the Family Card a few times when I've stopped to charge the car up (free charging station and a free drink whilst it's being done).

They do Hot Chocolate on this as well, although there is a slight premium for it (about 30-40p) and as its given as a token for the machine you can't get refills, but still a bargain.

Incidentally, if you've forgotten your card they will accept the temporary paper ones issued by the machines dotted around the place.

Edited By: TheDr-UK on Feb 07, 2017 00:22
I've not used my family card yet if I went with my husband would we both get the offers or is it limited to one person.
vinnyV2591
Not sure if they still do the breakfast deal in the mornings for Family card holders.
If memory serves me right it was only a couple of quid for a cooked breakfast and add in the free tea or coffee it was worth the couple of mile drive!!

yes they do, 6 item £1.50 add a toast and butter for 30p and 5p each, plus free tea coffee, great for morning weekday shops
twinkle.eyes
shame they dont do hot chocolate

Ikea family price is only 40p for Hot chocolate, and to be honest it's pretty good Hot chocolate.

How does this compare with M&S cashmere comfort mattress
Mine lasted about 5 years and now has a massive dip and knackered springs. Very comfy, I'll probably buy again
I have one of these mattresses . Relatively comfortable and good for the price but after 4-ish years it's a bit noisy (I'm not a comfy sleeper so I tend to move around a lot) and if you're near the edge you feel like you're going to roll off.
YEh that's their price on every delivery, it's stupid
No need to pay for delivery. Will fit in a car boot as comes rolled with air vacuumed. Very comfy with 25 years warranty. Been at this price for few months.

Tablet stand? No problem!
Remember this is not advertised as a case nor a protector, it is only a stand.
This looks cheaper, but probably works : http://www.instructables.com/id/Five-Minute-Tablet-Stand/ - Macgyver style DIY Tablet stand
It looks like a piece of cardboard with an elastic band on it. I could make one of those for 25p, never mind spend all afternoon lost in Ikea.
Not voting either way, it might be cheap, but also looks really cheap.
I haven't seen this is person but from the look in the photo, I wouldn't put my tablet in this even if they paid me 25p!

Thanks for the post OP! Never realised this was on, so today made to purchases on 2 different cards and won the following:
1) Nest of 3 tables £50 (returned and got a credit note, said lost receipt ooops), then returned £50 worth of stuff I'd purchased, then repurchased with the credit note tut tut :)
2) Cutlery set £7.75 (still to collect)

Wow that was luck made in Ikea.....

what did you purchase initially was it something only small...... like 30p worth....

when you repurchased the stuff you wanted did you make individual translations or all in one if you purchased them separately then you have one prize per item that you can recheck per day....

Re No. your reply to 2)

I enter the code incorrectly sometimes and I recheck or delete it all and try again.

Basically it is made of 4 sections all of which you can find on top of the Msg about the Swipe Surprise... It consists of

Date Store POS Transaction
120217 262 16 xxx

in this order

Store POS(Till no.) Transaction(individual to your transaction at that time) Date with 0 in between to compensate for no other digits

so mine from Lakeside will look like this for example

026200160XXX120217

Which gave me Donut by the way....

So if you go to the same till at the same store every time the only number you will need to look out for is the XXX which is what will determine the prise in that store.

Double check it and see if they are all correct.

Otherwise take to Store and see if they can spot anything. I am sure if they cant spot any errors either they might be able to compensate you with some form of voucher.

My son (2 year old) loves these! thanks OP
They are actually great for camping.
I can't eat much at once and while camping these things are an extreme win.

And even if not for just you, it let's the kids help you cook without handling excessive amounts of hot liquids/items etc.
Sure if they screw up they're going to get burnt. But volume REALLY matters, if they're going to learn a harsh lesson about hot liquids it's betting with 100ml than 1000ml tbh.

Affordable, well-designed furniture for every size of home at IKEA

IKEA was established in 1943, by Ingvar Kamprad; the unusual name is an acronym, representing the founder’s initials, along with those of the house and town where he grew up, Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd. The business initially dealt with mail orders, but began opening physical stores in the 1950’s. These were joined by international IKEA branches from the 1960s. Now there are nearly 400 stores around the globe and in 2008, IKEA was confirmed as the world’s biggest furniture shops. They keep prices low by asking customers to be part of the retail process, in that their role is to assemble the flat packs of furniture that IKEA is famous for.

Where to Shop for IKEA Furniture

IKEA have a well-organised retail website where most items are available to purchase online. For access to every product in their range, you’ll have to visit one of their 21 UK shops. To find your closest branc, click on “Your Local IKEA Store“ on their website and then select a location for more information.

What’s on Offer at IKEA?

IKEA organise their website into a number of different departments, so that shoppers can easily navigate to the products they need:

  • Outdoors – The IKEA garden furniture collection includes tables, chairs, sofas and parasols. There are items to suit larger spaces and smaller balcony or patio areas.
  • Living Room – As well as comfortable seating, the IKEA living room section has TV stands, media storage cabinets, side tables, and lighting.
  • Bedroom – Shop here for bedroom storage, beds, plus mattresses and duvet covers, along with king-size, single, and double bedframes. They also have a range of lighting solutions and mirrors.
  • Bathroom – This section includes everything you’d need for the bathroom, from towels and flannels, to mirrors and toothbrush holders. There are also large items like wash stands and basins for bigger projects.
  • Kitchens – IKEA enable their customers to design the layout of a kitchen then choose cabinets, worktops and storage to complete the bespoke look. You can also find smaller items like trolleys, knife holders and containers to organise the space you have.
  • Storage – If you need to tidy up and pack away day to day items, clothing or a collection of articles, then this is the perfect place to start. From sturdy plastic under bed boxes, to cardboard containers and glass jars for little odds and ends, it’s all here.
  • Dining – From intimate dining solutions to larger tables for big families, this category has it all. Choose from sturdy wooden chairs, stackable stools, cafe type furniture, plus a selection of eating and drinking accessories.
  • Children – In this area you can find pieces of furniture that are designed with younger users in mind. There are coordinating sets to furnish an entire room, rugs, bedding and toy storage systems. You can also shop for curtains, toys and pin boards.
  • Textiles and Rugs – Here you can find textiles that can be cut to a specific length for personal projects, as well as a variety of rugs, curtains, cushion covers and bedding. There is also table linen and fixings for attaching curtain rods or rails.
  • Home Office – For people who work from home, IKEA have a section dedicated to desks, chairs and media organisers. There are cable management boxes, bins, lights and laminate flooring, to complete the effect.

Saving Money at IKEA

IKEA have a regular summer and winter sale, during these periods selected products or ranges are reduced by up to 50% in store. Wonderful Everyday Life with IKEA

Delivery options from IKEA

IKEA deliver to most parts of England, Scotland and Wales.  To see if you are eligible for delivery, use their Postcode checker.

You can choose between two options when you’d like IKEA to deliver your order. The first is Parcel Delivery which is used to send items weighing up to 25kg. This service costs £7.50 and is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and is provided by Parcel Force. However, if you order a range of smaller items, they could have a combined weight of 100kg so please be aware of possible charges.

Many of the items IKEA deliver are large, so as part of their Truck Delivery service, they will bring your purchase in to any room in your home. Truck Delivery charges start from £35, but vary depending on your postcode; the actual price is worked out during the ordering process. Within 72 hours of your order being placed, IKEA will tell you when they’ll be delivering your goods. If you provide a mobile number, you can also expect a text message to confirm the date.

Returning Unwanted Items to IKEA

  2. They will instruct you to either send it back through the Post Office or arrange a courier to pick it up
  3. If you cancel the whole order within 14 days of receipt, your delivery costs will be refunded.
  4. The refund will be credited back to the original payment source.

Alternatively, take the item back to an IKEA store, along with your proof of purchase. Your refund will be credited to the card you paid on.
