This is a joke post right?
You can get S7 Edges for this price
But you can't get an S7 Edge Plus at all because they don't make one.
The post is for an S6 Edge with a 5.7 inch screen not the standard 5.1.
Currently selling in Carphonewarehouse at £599.

S7 edge has a 5.5" screen. This is last gen tech at this gens price.

Buy the Moto or OnePlus 3t and don't waste your money on samsung tat

If a camera is what you're after I wouldn't rule out the S6/S7. It's far superior to the OnePlus. That's coming from someone who has a OnePlus 3 and owned an S6.

I would agree with you fully but OnePlus still has its quirks

Nah even the Microsoft store have been doing deals on bundles, free controllers free games, all around £230.

Bit odd, there's nothing new coming out as far as I know.

Good cases or screen protectors?
well I bagged one before it sold out, after I killed my trusted s4
Just picked one up in John Lewis Glasgow. Shelf price is still £499 but scanned at £299 with no issues.
scimitar
Just bought one from JL Solihull - they had both colours for this price

I thought i would try my luck with JL brent cross, no stock and the advertised price was still £499

this is really annoying because moto mods that im interested in are finally coming and i missed out on this great deal, used ones are still going for £350 on ebay for comparisons sake btw

The Sony CEO said in recent days that the PS4 Pro is outselling the PS4 Slim. Hmm, they give the impression of rationing them in the UK to keep the price up then as, obviously, there are much, much fewer PS4 Pros for sale in the UK than the Slims.

Is this another example of rip-off Britain with the UK being seen as the 'golden island' for retailers?
Out of stock again... knew i should have ordered one straight away :(
Isn't this the standard price ???
was quite impressed with how much sharper PES 2017 looked on the pro, big difference
Here in Korea, we had the 3rd or 4th shipment on PS4 Pros here today. Offline sold out before the shops even opened (by virtue of waiting tickets), online sold out within seconds.

I'm back in Blighty in March and I'm not too bothered about a deal (even at post-Brexit exchange rates the prices are similar).

But are stock shortages a problem there too?

Can't imagine it's as bad as here.,

Unfortunately no shifting from 1149 in my local JL
Yeah, the only reason they were selling is because they were trying to de-stock
Worth a try though I suppose
could you please upload the product label image on a comment because the thumbnail is not that clear.
I want to show it to the John Lewis store to see if they can lower it to that price.
i called a few places , even the The Southend Waitrose/ JL and they said the price is £1149 and the £949 must have been a returned one or ex-display.
I don't think it's worth it to be honest, I can upload the receipt as proof that I got it cheap, but it was only because they could not reorder the model, therefore they were destocking

So its just gas talk you've done. Nothing like that after all ha!?

Yeah, I they were only selling at that price as it was a pre brexit price, not a display model or anything, it was one of three left in stock I believe, therefore it was lowered

It was brand new, not a display model
Are you sure? Whats the stock number on the receipt? Starts with 860 apparently and 5 digits after that so I can get one too

This is bizarre.... on release at £70 this was discounted to £35 almost everywhere... and yet now it's getting heat at more than this...?
It was £24 at Tesco over Christmas (possibly a misprice) but, unless your Tardis is in good order, it isn't now! Even at £37 it's pretty good value

This item has been approximately this price continuously ever since release therefore it being the same price still is not a hot deal. It's actually a clever marketing strategy that more and more people on here are falling for: claim a high "RRP", almost always sell it for half the price, watch the heat roll in.

I maintain my original comment which is that since release this has always been available for around £35, often less. £35 is the normal price for this item, it is not a discount or deal no matter how it is being promoted.

Not with 5 months Entertainment included it hasn't!

Good lord what on Earth is going on in this thread, what is wrong with you, just because someone points out it is just the normal price that the item is regularly sold for, you simply respond by stating No it hasn't been! YES IT HAS. On release was £35 at Sains with that, has been at ASDA too, use the search function, accept that people are posting to try and help out other HUKDers who might mistakenly think this is a bargain (as clearly lots have been caught out by the "RRP" of £70 when they sell them on regular rotation at £35).

Presumably you are the sort of person who voted hot on Kettle chips for £1 despite them being £1 on rotation at at least 2 major retailers at all times. This is Hot UK Deals not Pay the price it is always is deals.

You'll see this for sub £30 regularly soon, now that will be a deal because that's cheaper than the £35 at which it is always available from one retailer or another. Accept it.

NO IT WASN'T! I was a good month after the launch, and then the offer stopped! I purchased one of these at launch and nobody was doing deals, I've been looking this year as I'm down to my last voucher now and this is the 1st time it's been nationwide n not a wild goose chase for the past month or so for a deal so to say it's on all the time at some retailer or other means you are talking out of your backside...

PS did you even follow the HUKD deal I provided, the title of which includes the words "£35" and "5 months Entertainment"?????? - a national deal that was on for over a month and has carried on at multiple retailers ever since.

Not sure the Smart box with 5 months Entertainment (or 4 months Sky Cinema) has been this price before. Looks like a good deal unless you have a link to the same deal cheaper elsewhere?
Correct. It's the boxes with 3 months entertainment / 2 months movies that they are thinking of
Nope you are wrong. On release day for example this box was at Sainsbury's for "Was £70 Now £35" with the 5 months pass etc. Use the search function to check.
PS why would it need to be this price elsewhere... they've had a rotation of each retailer having it for £35 ish since release - use the search!!
I stand corrected. However I don't think the 5/4 month bundles have been easily available at this price since launch though. Some people found them reduced in specific Asda stores and IIRC some specific Tesco stores. But not readily available to everyone as it is here
It doesn't sound as if you stand corrected.
I've used the search function for you, here we are, on release was £35 reduced from £70 at Sainsbury's national and has been that price here there and everywhere since release - feel free to use the search...http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/now-tv-smart-box-with-5-months-entertainment-pass-35-store-sainsbury-s-ashton-under-2499118
Seeing as you are clearly so keen to prove you are correct about this, perhaps you care to link any of the 'here there and everywhere' deals you mention? Which were of course readily and easily available to all like this deal is. And not 'blink and you miss it' fleetingly expired deals either of course :{ I look forward to your response

Use the search function. It was £35 at Sainsbury's for over a month, also at ASDA for the same duration after the Sainsbury's deal. Must be over 1000 ASDA and Sainsbury's in the U.K. so I'd call that available to all and not fleeting. Hope you're happy with the response you were looking forward to.

What's your problem here... why won't you just accept that this item has been cheaper than this regularly at nations retailers since release... if you are so interested in it surely you would have been monitoring the price / bought in on release in the multiple national deals at £35ish which is so regular it should be regarded as the normal price.

Now I do like apple, I use a lot of their stuff, but I draw the line at this, especially the price of the accessories such as the Apple Pencil.

I posted pencils at around £30 from CEX a month or two ago, went freezing :(

I think because it's apple !!! BUT they are expensive I agree but they don't breakdown often if you treat them well they will be good. People buy DYSON hoovers now that's a waste of time and money they break down clog up and some around £400 - £500 now THATS a waste of money !

Yep it is in pretty bad nick if its the same one i went there to try to repair a couple of weeks ago. How they could accept a customer return back in that condition is beyond me.

Might have been a return due to the crack. Having followed the threads on AVForums, some peoples boxes have turned up in pretty poor condition. Although I think those were all from Currys.

"Apparently there is a 65" version as well."

Is that also cracked? And what was the price on the 65"?
Apparently their 5 year guarantee won't include the screen!

Ok I just asked my dad and I quote:
Yeah. Thanks for the tip but it didn't look very safe. The crack was only about nine inches across the top left corner of the support glass at the rear of the screen. But I didn't think it was worth the gamble. Annoying, they wouldn't send me a picture or tell me over the phone where the damage was.
I guess they want it sold so not being very helpful remotely. Very unlike JL as you say.
Thanks for the reply. I hope to get up there to see it myself but in the mean time I am ending this thread although at -316 degrees and counting it's pretty much dead already LoL.

john lewis logoJohn Lewis – In Business for More Than Two Centuries

John Lewis opened his first store, a drapery, on Oxford Street in 1864. In 1905, a second store, Peter Jones, opened in Sloane Square in London. Initially the two stores were separate but, in 1920, John Spendan Lewis came up with the idea of forming a chain and he founded the John Lewis Partnership. The company began opening other stores throughout London before starting its expansion across the rest of the UK in 1933.

Today John Lewis operates more than 40 John Lewis stores across the UK, with the largest store being its flagship Oxford Street store. Their stores encompass a mixture of traditional John Lewis department stores and John Lewis at home stores.
