The problem with this phone is it is massive! Have just gone from a 4.6 inch Nexus 4 to a 5.2 inch Huawei P9. The .6 inch size difference is taking a lot of getting used to. Worth trying a similar sized phone in hand before you buy.
this phone was dreadful. battery life one of the worst I have ever used and overheated like mad. much better options pit there for similar money
How does this compare to the Moto X Force? (apart from the shatter proof screen)

I've already ordered this deal, so you guys think the 1tb really isn't enough for a casual gamer?
i thought added the extra memory would cancel the 2 year guarantee.
thanks in advance for advice!

1TB will be fine for a casual. I would say am a few steps up from being a casual gamer. At the moment I have Dark Souls 3, GTA V, PES 2016, FIFA 2016, Battlefield 4 with all DLC (almost 70gb), Uncharted 4, and a few indie titles installed. Yet I still have around 450gb left from 1TB. I probably have room to install another 6 full retail games. But lets be honest. Can you see your self having around 10-12 full retail games installed at one time?

I can't see myself even owning 10 games :p thanks for the advice!

I REFUSE to pay a company, to pick something up from their shops, that I bought from them. Robbing gits !!
Buy this and return when collecting. Ensure you complain bitterly when handing over the return. http://www.johnlewis.com/npw-beauty-junky-tissues-pack-of-10/p2580018

The reason may be because they are very hit and miss in terms of drink temperature.
I've got one and the coffee it makes is just warm especially if using the built in milk frother.

They would be an awesome machine if it wasn't for the like warm drinks !!!

Bought 2 of these, one for myself and the other for my wife. She has just encountered a problem with this tablet.
She plays Farmville 2 - Country Escape and when playing there is vertical lines going across part of the screen as if they are graphics glitches. Just incase it was her tablet I put it on mine and it does the same, however it plays perfect on her LG Gpad 8.3.
Any suggestions please?
Just incase its a faulty batch please can someone else try installing Farmville 2 Country Escape to see if they get the graphic glitches. It happens straight away on the farm tutorial.
Thanks

Just tried it and same gfx glitches. It will be down to game not optimised for this chipset. I get same with simpsons tapped out. Un playable on my redmi note 3 with snapdragon 650 but perfect on this tablet. That's one of problems with android vs ios as so many hardware differences.
Hi when they say OOS does that mean instore as well.
Is it worth me going to John Lewis or not?

I bought instore on Sunday when it was OOS online. Worth a try if it's not going out of your way too much.

Prices seem pretty pants tbh. John Lewis has always been pricey though, never seen any proper offers from them. Only good thing is the price match and warranty. Cold from me.

Looks like I'm stuck with mine now as it seems pointless putting it on eBay - value has dropped considerably. Used a couple of times and has been gathering dust since.

I think about £80 should've been the RRP for this.
Obligatory when I was younger we were kept quiet in the holidays by leaving home in the morning and only coming back if we needed food, fluids or somebody had broken an arm. No Sphero droid, although a sphere in the form of a football may have been involved.
Got it for this price at Christmas. Waste of money.
Wow your son is lucky. Its not even his birthday and he gets £100 spent on him for a holiday gift. :D
£100 = peace and quiet for 1 week!

I'm after one of these in pascal (grey). John Lewis are price matching Kiddicare for this deal.
Trendybaby has the blue @£499 and I was going to see if they would price match just4baby on the Pascal @599, but see above that they won't (for a very odd reason!).
There are some new kicking around on eBay for low £500s but not sure about the seller as low (but good) feedback.
Annoying that this doesn't even pop up on my alerts due to the cold voters, who clearly have no intention of buying a travel system around this price. The problem is that I want to buy this one and I just want the cheapest price!

We are after the Pascal Grey as well - actually. Just waiting for it to drop to around the £500 mark

Asked John Lewis for a price match and just got the response below. Surreal!

Dear Mr Fonda,

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the criteria in our pricing policy must be met. I regret that after review the request you have submitted does not match all or parts of this policy.

Please be advised as in line with our price match policy the competitor must trade on the same basis as ourselves, this includes their terms and conditions.

Please be aware Just 4 Bays terms and conditions surrounding the rescheduling of a deliver are as follows:

"In the event of a failed delivery on the first attempt, the recipient will be left a card informing them when a redelivery will take place (Monday to Friday) or informing them to contact their local depot to rearrange delivery and the goods will be held at the local depot for up to five working days for the recipient to rearrange delivery. Failure to rearrange delivery within this timescale will result in the goods being returned back to us and to redeliver the goods there will be a charge of £15.00 inc VAT.

If the delivery address refuse delivery of the goods or if you do not respond to the Delivery Attempted card left by your driver, your order will be returned to us we will then wait for you to contact us before we refund you your money minus the return postage cost (£15.00 inc VAT)."

When purchasing with ourselves we do not charge for a failed delivery.
Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot match the price offered by Just 4 Baby. If you would like to view more information about Never Knowingly Undersold and our pricing you can do so on our website.

I am sorry I have not been able to reduce the price on this occasion. If you require any further information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
Love my uppababy, worth every penny. Easy to put up and down, light, easy to push, compact.....
In addition to the above, I thought I'd share the deal we got at the Baby Show NEC:

UppaBaby Vista in Pascal Grey with Carrycot (RRP £699)
Uppababy Ganoosh Footmuff (RRP £95)
Kiddy evo Lunafix iSize Car Seat and Base (RRP £360) [rarely on offer anywhere, this iSize model has only launch a month or two ago]
Kidde evo Lunafix iSize rain cover (RRP £35)

RRP Total: £1189
Total Paid: £959
Saving: £230

Worth paying the £10 entry each for that discount alone!! Hadn't anticipated buying at show at all. Ability to deliver when you want (i.e. month before baby arrives, to start warranty as late as possible) was a winner too.

Do you know if John Lewis will price match RGB Direct ? Thanks
It is a great TV but just be aware of 2 things:-
- 3D is really good as its passive which means no flicker and full HD to each eye, (unlike previous passive 3D TV's.) However, the viewing angle is extremely sensitive. I've now tested 4 of these, and on all 4, there is always some ghosting on either the top or bottom 20% of the screen, depending on your position.
- The HDD recording is a nice feature. When you record HD though, the playback keeps breaking up. Its a common issue with this TV that LG don't seem to be addressing and probably won't.
If you can live with the above, its a great TV and a great price. Hot.
I have heard so many different opinion regarding the 3D that I am not sure what to believe anymore.

I have heard from some that if viewed directly, there's little to no presence of crosstalk at all, yet have I have seen some people say that it's really bad (entirely, or just the top and bottom areas) and apparently some have tried quite a few sets.

So would you say it's generally great except the the top and bottom, which can't be helped even if watching the TV directly and not from an angle?

I'd appreciate your opinion.

My 2 kids have these and are constantly having to delete apps and games. The storage is awful even with a micro sd loaded.
Really cant you set the micro sd as default storage ?
No, the problem is if you use the built-in Fire parental profile, then each kid will have their own virtual storage which cannot be mapped to the SD card. I had the same problem, even with ES Explorer to create symbolic link it wouldn't work as Fire would ignore the link. Even after rooted the device, Fire would not allow kids profile from running other apps to do remapping of the SD card storage.
At the end I had to remove the kids profile and nicely asked my two boys to share single profile and use the internal alarm clock as a reminder of the daily screen time limit we had previously agreed.
I was worried that this might be the case (from previous experience with Nook tablet). SD card storage vital for music and videos but you're going to fill up the built-in storage very quickly with apps.

Worth noting that 16Gb ones are available for £10 more at JL and Amazon. And note that if buying from Amazon you get £2 digital credit.

Very tempted though still - will pay for itself in one plane journey.

This is the 16gb version. Bought one yesterday

Is it worth getting the 16GB version? Or will this be as good with a sd card? Thanx
If you install a lot of apps that can't be moved to the SD card, then you are going to run out of space on the internal storage quite quickly on the 8GB version.
If you don't care about the colour, right now the blue 16GB version is available at Argos for the same price as the John Lewis 8GB version:http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5433342.htm

Thanks for the advice & the heads up for Argos. Much appreciated

I only paid about £30 more for the 128gb 4gb ram version last year.
Where from?

I bought 2 Surface 3's (128GB/4GB) for a combined £460 on Gumtree...including 2 type covers and 1 pen. Both within warranty, and both pristine. (One even had W8.1 Pro installed - so it now has W10 Pro :) ).

Also, there is no need to show proof of ownership to get warranty service. I sent one of the typecovers off due to the mouse pad rattling. All I needed to provide was the serial number.
I only paid about £30 more for the 128gb 4gb ram version last year.
Where from?
Microsoft. There was a TopCashback offer at the time I think. But it was reduced on the Microsoft store on top of that.

Got to agree with others, Android and iOS are consumer devices where windows are both productivity and consumer, if you want decent apps go iOS or Android not windows, for windows think desktop software not apps.

Is this as good as a iPad Air 2?
Nope it uses and Intel Atom chip, it sucks at running a Desktop OS, get the iPad Air 2, at least it's good at it's intended purpose.

Total rubbish with the new generation of atoms, I replaced my server with a device running a Z3735F and its not in the least bit slow, even with everything I have running in the background which is loads of stuff, the OS still runs fast and that's with only 2GB of RAM.

Windows is for Consumers, OSX is for productivity

Absolute Tosh. Windows is the OS used by the majority of the Corporates for productivity that you buy services and goods from, from Tesco, to Virgin, to Network Rail to First Direct. IOS is used on mobiles in corporates and consumers for mainly entertainment.

Just ordered the one on Amazon for 29 prime, delivered tomorrow. :) thanks
Does this have the longer attachment aswell or is it just the shorter one?
If not can the longer one be purchased for it?
Yes you can buy the wand and cleaner head direclty from dyson. Search for DC59. The wand is £50 And the cleaner head is £60.
The genuine wand can be bought on Amazon for £29 or around £25 via Flubit. Going to use it with the supplied mini motorised tool.
Compatible wands are £19.99 on ebay.
Do you have a link to the compatible wand on eBay, does the wand from eBay power your accessories?
Don't know if it powers it but here's the link

I put this thru Flubit and Flubit came up with £25.03. Hopefully, I will get a genuine Dyson wand. The part no. 965663-05 indicates it 's a genuine product.

Attachments from my previous upright fit - do they have the little notch up top with the release mechanism, or have an adaptor in the set with one?

This is the pack I have for the Dc54 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/floorcare/vacuum-accessories/dyson-clean-and-tidy-kit-12333967-pdt.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjwjoC6BRDXuvnw4Ym2y8MBEiQACA-jWcipEYnnYZWS8qF2caRQlHkfMgfkeZzBa5BuBErRa8UaAn1u8P8HAQ&srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~~~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&s_kwcid=AL!3391!3!75531813324!!!g!125720556324!&ef_id=Vu1zDAAAAIYVLAhS:20160521150825:s

Dyson DC34 £87.97 @ John Lewis

John Lewis has price matched Currys price with plenty of stock available at time of posting. Hope this helps those that couldn't find one anywhere at Currys.

Isn't this about the price they should be anyway seeing as My Dyson moved his factory to Malaysia or somewhere similar so he could make good of cheaper production costs. Hmmm, they are still very expensive to buy.

Think I got the last one, even though the deal was expired...had the conf email ;)
John Lewis are not the same any more. Customer service is greatly improving at many places whilst theirs is deteriorating.
Also the 2 year warranty comes from Dyson, you don't need to buy from John Lewis to get this.

Would you still want them if they were called Luxottica?
All glasses are Luxottica. I have yet to find a single brand that is not made by them. They are the familia of SunGlasses...
My point exactly. Ray Ban ain't what they used to be.

Ordered mine.
better off buying cheaper foster grant than copies, can't trust UV protection on copies.

Raybans are a fake economy. Check Alibaba or another Chinese wholesaler and you can get 1:1 fakes for around £10-15. Same materials, same lenses, complete replicas. Why on earth you'd pay almost 9x the price for exactly the same product just to know they're real escapes me.

The only counterfeit Ray Bans I've seen are awful quality... cheap, flimsy frames that creak, terrible arm hinges and cheap Ray Ban logos stuck on the arms (usually not even straight). 5 Euros from any corner shop on holiday.
