I'll stick with freeview. No price rises, no sitting and hoping I get cashback or vouchers. And £240 left in my bank account at end of year

Still waiting on my top cash back from 7 months ago. Poor service from them. Wouldn't bank on that in the offer. Could just be my experience.

If anyone successfully gets M&S vouchers from sky on this deal, I will show my ass to the queen.

Sky are notorious for these deals and 3 months down the line make up some bull***t about how you didn't meet the criteria in the 1st place

Infinitisers like Sky are what you call a Fixed Cost Beancounter. This is because once all the fixed costs are accounted for, it becomes a money tree. Unlike voice telephony where your “line-rental” is part of the ongoing monthly tax and any call you make is then charged for, with the likes of Sky, all are tarred with the same brush - you pay for what you will or will not see/use. For the flag-waving “Sporties”, oka better than going to war, realise that you could only watch one channel at a time even though you had paid for all the other channels. Seen the picture yet? Not really otherwise the likes of Sky would be as common as muck in the Banking Department and oldman Murdock won’t be able to snatch a young baby boomer, not to mention the Reebekkas of this world. Take heart ‘cos he still have the Kumming of Kamerons and other Foxy evils bubbling in his pockets.

Had Sky twice, nearly 20 years between them, gave up both times due to rising prices, lack of imformation and repetition of programmes, never again.
Been on the try to cancel merrygoround on both occasions

Taken two sky subs in my time, both times failed to receive any M&S vouchers even though they were promised. They, Sky, don't care and certainly don't help you. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET M&S VOUCHERS FROM THIS DEAL!

So can someone tell me who knows how I go about ordering this without … So can someone tell me who knows how I go about ordering this without wanting (or needing) the phone line. I'm with virgin for phone and bb and don't want to change on that front. I'm thinking of taking up the sky hd since I want to watch the f1. I'm loathed to put money in murdoch's dirty pockets but this is very tempting.

Just ordered without taking the phone line since already with BT.
Just choose "sky+" from the dropdown, then click "join with sky+" on next page.
Or if telephone is already added to the basket, just remove it.

Cold they are doing 12 months half price offer atm. works out £20 cheaper and no stupid gift vouchers.
  30. faisal_uk's avatar
Just wondering if you want HD, would this work to get a bit more money back:

    1. Subscribe to standard sky+ package. Claim for topcashback and £100 voucher
    2. Upgrade online to Sky HD, go through topcashback for an extra £50 and £50 m&s vouchers from Sky. I understand the vouchers may not be available next month, but you would still get topcashback.
    3. Potentially get more vouchers by being recommended by a current sky customer. Can this be claimed in conjuction with step 1 and completed online? Sky are saying you both get £75 in vouchers

Would the above work as a new customer?

anyone struggling to cancel with virgin media,....
... i just called and was advised of £55.80 cancellation fee to cancel my services with them as i am contracted until June... i pointed out that in section J3 of their terms and conditions it states that if they inform of price increase u are allowed to cancel service without paying penalty fee....
... so my cancellation fee was waived...
    ... goodbye Virgin, Hello Sky

I already have. But then I also read that M&S vouchers are not guaranteed … I already have. But then I also read that M&S vouchers are not guaranteed and neither is the quidco. The quidco risk is understandable but sky not sending M&S vouchers I cant fathom. So the problem is if I end up getting neither quidco nor voucher, I might end up worse off, Also, the 12 months half price was promising until i noticed that its half price off broadband only.

I can't see the concern about not gettingM&Svouchers, when you order, they show on your order, keep a copy of that, if they don't arrive, you then have proof, to complain or small claims whatever, but as long as they show on your order, I can't imagine they would not be sent, unless you are in some way trying to claim when you are not entitled to them.

yup its only off the broadband not the total package, as for m+S vouchers you will get them may take a few months even a few emails to eventually get them but you will deff get them, on the other hand quidco i would say you are less certain, until it magically goes from tracked to confirmed. as with all cashback sites never count the money or go for a deal based soley on cashback as it is never guaranteed

I once had something a little similar happen to me - Sky installer came, really didn't fancy the job and said he couldn't do the installation. Sky suggested a third party installer, who came but by that time I had decided I couldn't be bothered with it.

So - nett result: No Sky...but got the £100 quidco!!!

but they don't actually cancel when you ask.....then they chase you for months on end (or 18 to be precise) because you apparently owe them £17.....even though in actual fact they owe you a stupid amount of money because they have messed up......so instead you buy a freesat box......has all the channels I need and no hassle......that's why
