How to work out the volume of your pizza. If z = radius of pizza and a = thickness, then the volume = Pi * z * z * a.
    Spooky!!!

For £15 I could buy some seed, and grow my own food and feed my family for years.

But that has got sod all to do with this deal has it?

    1. Dominos pizza is nice (that's why they are a global forever expanding brand, people like them).

    2. Supermarket pizza is not as good. If it was Dominos would be out of business. Do they use 00 flour, real mozzaerlla / provalone cheese blend, and a tasteful tomato sauce well seasoned?

    3. Beer costs more in a pub than a supermarket. That does not mean you should not go to the pub.

    4. I like Cuban cigars, VSOP brandy, imported beer, and Dominos pizza. If you want to drink pomagne whilst putting your Iceland prawn ring on the sink drainer to defrost then have at it.

    5. There is not a papa johns near enough to me. That is equally good takeaway pizza.

Someone I knew who worked at dominos once told me a pizza costs 48p to … Someone I knew who worked at dominos once told me a pizza costs 48p to make.....

The actual ingredient costs - yes.

But take into account the employees' wages, electricity & gas bills, water rates, franchise fees, rent, council tax, equipment costs (those ovens fetch a few thousand pounds on eBay easily), delivery driver's overheads and profit margins then £7.99 a pizza seems reasonable.

Oops, I forgot to add the usual 'Domino's are crap, drive to a supermarket instead' and 'I spend my life waiting for new Domino's threads so I can force my opinion on everyone else' sentiments to my comment.

There is no way the fully absorbed price is 51p. I couldn't buy the cheese for that, let alone create a cooked pizza.

Even of it were true, then it would highlight what a con supermarket pizzas are, who would be charging 7 times cost without the cooking....

Isn't it 2 for 1 Tuesday tonight anyway? Surely a much better deal.
  13. anthony69's avatar
Does anyone else find the supermaket pizzas cooked instore very doughy?. I mean you ask for a Deep pizza, and it seems like you are chomping through tons of dough just to get to any toppings.

good deal to me, looking at getting one tomorrow then its healthy eating in new year! Our local one also gives 40% for NHS workers not sure if that would be national, depends on franchise owner i guess, but worth asking!
  27. miles16v's avatar
That's my new years eve excitement wrapped up!

    Don't forget quidco.
  28. Milev's avatar
Nhs 40% off is national also go to every store and pick up the menu. The bottom part of the menu is with vouchers just grab 10 in case you run out of 50% off vouchers. Also after 5 minutes is tuesday bogof and every single night after 12 till close there is bogof.
  29. miles16v's avatar
40% bus discount must only apply to the rack rate though? They wont give you that discount on this offer surely?

dominoes is pretty awful for pizza. the ones in Asda that you can order are far better

If Dominos halved the price of all of their pizzas, it would STILL be too expensive.

I've never had the inclination to buy a Dominos pizza the price always puts me off. If I'm not getting a pizza from my local pizza shop I always find Chicago Town takeaway is the best alternative. £15 for that is still a rip off if you ask me!

Asda 14 inch CYO pizzas rock and are £3.50 for a stonebake with 4 topping and BBQ sauce. Buy 4 of them and spend a quid on a 2 litre bottle of coke.

Why are people comparing this deal to store bought pizza? It's like commenting on a deal for an Iphone 5 and saying I can get a Nokia 3610 for £10. This is a deal were you get around £28 worth of goods for £15 almost 50% off. One of the hottest deals of the month on here is a PS4 for 5% below RRP. Yes I know it is over priced to begin with and I have never and will never pay full price for a pizza, thats were a deal like this comes in.
