Strange they didn't stretch it out to May the 4th! Have some heat.
yes..
we've always done the package deal staying in hotels around 10-20 miles away :) last year we went into London for a couple of nights after LL :)
You have to buy the Legoland tickets as a package with a hotel stay to have the free kids ticket offer.

Went 2 years ago when it was the Star Wars days. 6 year old soon loved it. I'd go again at this time of year. Not too busy.

when we've been we have also left right at closing time ... wastes an hour of ride time - we also try and get on the rapids as we walk back towards the entrance gates :) never really much of a queue getting out.. not as bad as Alton Towers!!
It's worth paying £10 extra to express park at Towers, you are in your car within 2 minutes of leaving the gate.

anyone buying 2 day ticket be warned you can't upgrade to merlin passes
Thanks for the heads up op

Was going to do this last time they had the offer.

I chose the Maidenhead Holiday Inn. For 2 days park and the hotel I think it is a very good deal, even if you did the 1 adult child free offers you'd be looking at £90 for first day and £90 for a second which is already more than a lot of the offerings here.
sianarandjelovic
shame they want an extra £100 for 1 more child

Oh no :/ that's ruined it for us then
Excellent find, booked the deal in Aug with family room. :)

Good price but what's with the pricing per person? You mean it's from £122. Or can I book it for 2 people from £61?

I went on a similar package last year. It was super busy. I hated the whole idea of the queue bot queue jumping tickets available for a considerable extra cost.

Basically if you pay up you can pretty much avoid all queues while the poor look on.

Out of all the theme parks I've taken my kids to this is my least favourite.

is this a genuine site and had anyone booked through the link provided. ive tried and its let me pay for the booking and then it came up that its not available and to ring customer services. surley they shoudnt have taken my money if there is no booking done?
You might have to ring them up - when we booked last year the same happened to us. They had a record of the booking on their end but the payment hadn't gone through, so I just did it over the phone. (One booking went through fine on the website though...!)

hey guys, can anyone tell me what is best to do here then? Stay in Basingstoke Hotel at 29 miles away or spend another £20 and get on 8 miles away? i don't know the area at all so would love to hear thoughts on traffic etc.. Thanks in advance
I'd definitely spend £20 more, but which hotel is it 8 miles away?
We went for a 12 mile hotel and it took us more than 30 minutes to get to the park the next day. Traffic wasn't bad but think there was some cycling event on so was a horrible drive!
Thanks for the reply, it was Holiday Inn Express T5, gets pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor and we aren't expecting 5* quality or anything! I will probably go with that one! Thanks again
You're welcome. :)

I'm in two minds about booking again this year, as the only time I can generally go is during school holidays (Easter?) and it's stupidly busy at them times. :(

Y not use the fast track . How much does it cost?
I've seen people using that .

took longer to que for 3 rides than it did to drive up from Cornwall !
Queues are terrible .. last time i could only do 3-4 rides in a day !!!

Totally agree, this spoils all the fun and having in mind how much everything costs (rides, food, parking, hotel) I'd seriously recommend to avoid weekends!

Thansk Op. Booked for the half term break in Oct, the weekend of my son birthday for a special treat for him. Four of us booked for the Hilton (4*) with breakfast, plus evening time they offer free ice lolly at the hotel.
Plan to have a relaxing first day, finish around 4pm, pick up the ice lolly at hotel then go for swimming at the hotel pool. Will then have dinner at the hotel restaurant with 15% off the bill plus kids eat free! Don't forget to pre-book the car park permit at the booking, which you get 10% off the add-on as well, so £9 for two-day car park permit rather than £10.
Last few years we usually only did one day visit and left the park when it closed but ended stuck at the car park for almost an hour as everyone else try to leave at the same time. So hoping this time leaving at 4'ish pm will be more relaxing and enjoyable.

Yup, I guess the deal maker for you was that free ice lolly!! Lol....it'll freezing in October so you might want to swap that ice lolly for a hot soup lol...

I've been to legoland, chessington, thorpe park and alton towers over the last year with merlin passes. legoland is the only one we haven't visited again horrendous queues and just felt really underwhelmed with the whole park. Would highly recommend thorpe park or chessington if you have younger children. A decent deal though if you are looking to go to legoland.
Would Thorpe Park be ok for a 5yr old/7yr old?
Thanks
i would say chessington would be more suitable, there is rides for kids its an angry birds themed area but chessington has a zoo and more suitable rides i would say.
Thanks
I'm just now debating whether to go there in the summer holidays or the first weekend of school!! Is chessington as crazy busy as legoland?

first weekend of school would probably be better it was busy when we went in the 6 weeks holidays. i suppose any theme park is the same, i think wherever you go you and your kids will enjoy it :)

Try not to come to Slough lol, promise u wont like it!! 8)
Why?????? Got two nights booked there! oO
Like anywhere there are rougher areas than others but never had any problems in the locations of the hotels. The T5 one is in Colnbrook just off the motorway.Grew up in Slough and its gone downhill over the years but like any tourist its not like you're going there for the town only somewhere to rest your head at night .Can think of worse places.

I'm looking to go to legoland this Saturday 7th May and considering staying overnight, it's for a family of 5 with 3 adults and 2 children, what can I do to get myself a cheapest deal ? Thanks
The website appears to have changed over the last few days, now I can't seem to be able to book these offers..
hamodah
Hi, Can I still use this offer with a family of 5 members, and one of my children is under 2? How much do I have to pay for the extra person?
Many thanks

I was looking at this before I booked as I have 3 kids with 1 under the age of 2, and I could not find any info on this (maybe I didn't look hard enough).

Anyway, I booked the tickets and just thought if I have to pay anything I'll just pay. FYI I booked to stay at the Hilton in Basingstoke. I did not have to pay anything extra through out my day as under 2s go free in Legoland and the Hilton was happy I came with my own travel cot ;)

I Hope this helps.
MrJinxy
Not been before. What's the age/height restriction for rides? My girls are under 1m, would it be worth going?

Sorry, the above post was my response to you.
I went to Legoland Sunday and yesterday courtesy of this deal. Thanks OP. I have 3 kids with the middle one just under 1.0m and we are talking by 5mm!! Anyway some rides require the child to be 0.9m+, but majority of the rides require 1.0m+. She was really disappointed that she couldn't go on any of the water rides. Other than that they really enjoyed it.

I hope that helps

Always get out before the rush
for the fireworks used to park on exit before fireworks and great show :)
got trapped first time 3 hours getting out, never again :(
any deals for legoland resort hotel?
Reading1800
You'll need that time to get out of the car park. Stupid decision you have to pay for parking but but tickets are at exit. Everyone leaves at same time and literally 2 hrs later you may get out. Why not follow Disney and pay at entrance, people arrive at different times and there's a long road to allow queuing up to the park. Its not rocket science. We stopped going after one experience, seriously ruined the day. Merry Xmas!!
When Legoland started charging for parking, they initially made it pay on entry. The queues on the surrouding roads were horrendous and the Council told them they had to come up with an alternative that meant any queues were within their property - hence the 'pay on exit'.

Exit tickets can be bought at any point during the day - also, there are plenty of staff around with the ticket ready to take your money and let you exit. We have been approx. 10-12 times and never had any problem with either parking or leaving ! We generally do all the rides etc during he day then relax and don't race off at closing time - we have in the past spent an hour walking round the model village etc before exiting - and straight out no bother !

No amount of discount would get me back there, i'd rather queue for a pair of Yeezus trainers than endure the all day queuing at LEGOLAND.
Never again
I think you speak for most of us parents. But I'd reluctantly go through the droll and the waiting and the wallet rape to see the excitement on my son's face. I hate the place with a vengeance, they are greedy greedy greedy and some more but kids seem to be addicted to it and love it.

Too right, as a parent you might as well grow out your short and curlies, so that LEGOLAND can grab them some more... The worst thing is that they don't acknowledge the queues, they can't even be bothered to entertain the kids while queuing. Typical merlin greed over service

If you stay at holiday inn Slough be aware there is very very limited parking! We arrived after a day at legoland and had to walk from half a mile away with 2 tired kids and bags in tow!!
You should have dropped them off at the hotel, and then parked the car. Only the driver would have needed to walk back.oO

Absolutely pointless.
Pointless, surely??? It's shut!!!!!!!!!!!
Like taking the kids through the Mc Donalds drive through and just asking for some free napkins.

Looks a good deal till I saw the park was closed. Might be a good deal but doesn't seem worth the agro trying to explain to the kids why we aren't actually going in the park.

I booked a trip for half term, however mayneed to cancel/ reschedule dates. Trouble finding phone no to do this?
Thanks op. Booked 2 days tickets & 2 nights at the Copthorne Slough Windsor for £344.71 (2 adults & 2 kids). This includes free hotel parking & breakfast. Careful when choosing the hotel - not all include free parking! Also be aware that if paying by credit card a 2% fee is applied! This is not made clear although it is in the terms & conditions (which you have to click a link to see).

whats the welcome pack??

If its the same as we got 3 years ago, ours was just a kids 'fun pack' with a few colouring books and crayons. Not even Lego branded or anything, rather cheap really.

That was a Legoland Holidays booking, staying at a Holiday Inn Express at Slough, which was about 10 minutes drive form Legoland.

When we went, we enjoyed it, and whilst it was busy, it wasn't too busy, and that was during a June Half Term. You really need two days there, to allow for possible queues, so you can go on tings you may have missed on day 1.

Would love to go back, but living in Newcastle, its a mini holiday for us to travel down to Windsor, and last time, we had two day park tickets, but stayed for 3 nights.

Couldn't pay me (proof have Merlin Passes) to take my family through that again. Can't comment on hotel but legoland is so dated and just can't cope with holidays and to top it off.....Its rubbish. ( 2yr old and 7yr old)

Can you elaborate on why it was rubbish? Did your kids not enjoy legoland?
agree
shame Lego land is overpriced, run down, massive queues, nightmare to get to using public transport.

Shame that legoland is so poor! Merlin pass (before rip off increase) holders and certainly wouldn't make kids go through that again. Very very dated... One place worse - diggerland in busy period.
Lol not even The hotel - pointless!
It's not that bad, my kids loved the rides and the water-play areas, although could have done with slightly warmer weather! I ambitiously tried to get everything done in a day but queues were too long for some rides so only covered about 2 thirds of the park.

Do you recommend 2 full days?

128 for a hotel 29 miles away from resort...
That is exactly what I was thinking, better off booking premier Inn or similar in Camberley.
I found Hotel:Holiday Inn Slough Windsor + 2 Days Park Entry for 2A + 2C for £276?
thats 1st May Bank Holiday and the following day

Is it easier/cheaper to buy hotel separate from park tickets (we have kelloggs 2for1 but I think these are full priced adults, pay on day/at gate)

For the 1 Day + 1 Day FREE deal, do the 2 days have to be in succession? Or can one visit now and use the second day tickets some other time in the future?

When I was single, I made a LEGO sex doll.
I loved her to bits. :p
The break up must of been hard for you.
At times, it was very hard for her too. :D

Believe me, the split wasn't easy.

Parks closed ?? U sure
Is it including park enter """"""".
So I'd be taking my kids all the way down to Legoland, stay in the hotel, but oops sorry Legoland is closed boys!!??.. sounded good until I read the park was closed!!!
Overall Legoland is overpriced... You get far less for your money than in other theme parks which offer just as much for younger children. Spend your hard earned pennies elsewhere!
We stayed at this hotel for the weekend in Feb half term and had an absolutely brilliant time. It was very clean, staff were excellent and despite it being busy dye to junior builders week everything was working well and we had no issues. would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

As there is no picture for 2015 like the one above,
to find out when the park is open simply try to book using the normal offer

The calendar shows that the 18th/19th is closed for normal booking but open for splash and stay
I just checked now and getting splash and stay availability for the 19th. You just need park tickets then for the 20th?

Been to legoland twice and its perfect for younger kids. The only thing i can remember having to pay extra for was mini-golf
Been to Legoland a couple of times, unless you're local i honestly wouldnt recommend. You feel like they're squeezing cash out if you at every turn. If you're down that way, consider Chessington instead, better value for money and just a better experience for the whole family.
MRS_AWESOME
the timetable above is for 2014
19th and 20th may all gone now.

Is the park open on the 20th as you can't book advance tickets for that day.

Booked this ages ago for £171 for 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children on 17th April included 2 days in park for that price which I think is a bargain!

good lord please avoid high wycombe... you'll find out why soon enough
So in summary- it's not £119 for an "Easter-ish" date and the hotel is about an hour away. Cold.
cheapest I've found is £121 in may. So weekday, term time. No where near easter holidays and pretty pointless if you have school age children. so cold from me I'm afraid
