sorted byPersonally I'd avoid the ultra 64gb's like the plague, just in case you get one of the older versions. I had one and I'm waiting on my new one that's being RMA'd - it, like many, many other failed on me. There was a huge issue with these cards failing.
I'm getting a new one sent out but that was little use when it failed on me half way through a 5 month trip overseas, sot their customer service is pretty good, but I'm not going to spend the extra on their cards now.
Any relation to loughboroughguy?
Unlikely to be fake coming from there but it's always sensible to check obviously.
Lexar are a decent brand.
Personally think I'm going to wait until the Sandisk Ultra cards start tumbling in price.

Class 10 (in title) ;-)
You need to format your 64GB card to FAT32 with something like THIS for it to work with Rockbox. Follow THIS guide should the program prove too difficult to navigate.
Always best to run H2TestW (it'll find card faults as well as confirm that the card is genuine)

and also what's everyone's opinion on lexar, ever heard of it?
Not used 7 Day before, how accurate is their 3-5 day delivery time?
Not very....
Do Lexar cards work in Sansa clip music player?
Why wouldn't they? You're more likely to have incompatibility issues with the card size rather than the brand, unless you have your Clip Rockboxed.
Must be something wrong ! As with all my Lexar products, not one failure and always higher class then stated(this read and write at a class 18).
Why do you want Sandisk Ultra?
It has the lowest write speed just below 10MB/s.
Any class 10 card from a normal brand will be faster.
I've had no issues with Lexar specifically, have tested them. HOWEVER, I do have issues with any card bigger than 32GB in my clip zip, it detects the card but doesn't see the contents. Anything SDXC doesn't seem to work, whereas SDHC is fine. So I'm just using two 32s and switching.
I am using Rock Box btw.
I be very interested if you manage to get this working.
Thanks OP and heat added
64GB cards don't work in my Sansa Clip (with or without Rockbox). 32GB cards are fine though.
I would be surprised if the card will work in your Sansa. It didn't in mine - which leads me to think the card slot is SDHC only (32GB max). I tried Rockbox too - kind of glad that didn't work as the interface is horrible
I did that very thing ... it didn't make a difference in my Clip (mine is a few years old - but is on the latest firmware).
I don't know what to tell ya, m8. Here's mine with a 64GB Samsung EVO:
More storage than I can fill! Not rubbing it in or nothing.

I thought as much. The card has other purposes but would have been nice to use in our Sansa players. I have just bought our Son a Sansa Clip Sport and thankfully the Rockbox mod is not available for it..! I would not have used it anyway as the UI is a cluttered mess and far too difficult to navigate compared to the simplistic, but very functional, players own.
I see the problem...my Sandisk Sansa Clip is clearly an older model. It looks like this;
The newer model perhaps has SDXC support. I tried every which way with the older model - but had no joy. I now just use a 32GB card (which is fine, but it would be nice to be able to do an exact mirror of my iTunes collection. Maybe time for an upgrade!
You may actually have support for 64GB cards on the Sport version. It seems like my Clip is just a bit too old (4 years or so) to have benefitted from SDXC support.
Just format your card to FAT32 and give it a try.
Thanks very much,
3g
Unlikely. 7DayShop normally say whether the card comes with an SD adapter.
If you DO need the adapter, then the following card gets 4.9/5 from 126 reviews. 3 year warranty too
