Sandisk Extreme Plus 64GB Micro SDXC U3 Card £21.99 Picstop

Another great deal from Picstop 95MB\s read, 90MB/s write

Why better ?

i have this and Samsung EVO Plus samsung is cheaper and better than this ,

Sandisk Extreme cards use MLC memory, so more reliable than cheap cards. For a fiver more they have a 64GB warranted for dash cam use:

Faster speeds you saying ???... ha, ha

Is this the recommended one for dash cam or CCTV cameras?

Haven't come across one. The last one I found was for £29 from picstop.

There is a benchmark video from digitalfoundry on youtube iirc

Great price, but i would prefer a U3

You got a source for that? I've read people mentioning how there's no point going for U3 over U1 on Switch, but never anyone saying U1 is faster.

Is this good for a Dashcam? I'm not sure which card is high endurance MLC as they don't usually say. looking for a 128gb micro sd

Is this good for 4k

Or buy a genuine real Samsung sd card from Amazon themselves for £15.99. There's always a sucker who'll buy a 'bargain' sd card from Ebay

Following on from an earlier question, does anyone know if this would be appropriate for the Yi Dome 720 camera posted here a couple of days ago? Conflicting messages elsewhere online.

Is there any benefit of keeping one in a laptop with an SSD drive for constant additional storage/RAM?

Well, at least it's not the fake ones that someone posted on here the other day. Still, the 128GB are better value. I'd go for one of those instead.

Its not a slow one at U3 thats for sure Heat added

is that the best class one? (cheeky)

Great value when the 512gb are costly at £285-£299 HEAT

Poor value when the 128GB ones are only £25-£28. COLD.

Would this work in a Gopro Hero 6? From what I've read it should (data write wise for 4K) but Mymemory site says no.

I stand corrected :{

It's not on their official list, but I've used one in a Hero 5 without any problems.

SanDisk Mobile Ultra Micro SD SDXC Memory Card UHS-1 A1 100MB/s with Full Size SD Card Adapter - 64GB good price from reputable seller

Anybody know what is the fastest (read, write, both etc) SD card? I never got to grips with how to work it out, classes, U1 or U3 etc. Or which are meant for continuous use? e.g. the way WD purple drives are optimised for surveillance, red for NAS etc. Obviously the proof is in the pudding (i.e. benchmarks) but as a rule of thumb? I've never found an SD card that is faster than a USB 3.0 memory stick - is there one?

I'm still waiting for a return postage label. This seller of Counterfeit products FAKES is dragging this out which is kinda bad for business.... as its been 7 days I've left him negative feedback.

Photos I published earlier not proof enough?

I don't understand why HUKD allow unknown Ebay sellers. Surely it's very damaging for HUKD's own reputation if the HUKD site can no longer be trusted, and has threads where consumers are getting ripped off with fake goods etc?

Seen these in my local Tesco today. One was this price but then right next to it there was the exact same for about £11 or £12. Exact same speed.

If you will look close you will find same for 10.5.... picked up one today at Tesco.

Same at Chesterfield, although the A1 version is a few pence more on Amazon - not sure what the difference is though, although from memory I think it offers better performance for apps (presumably if you’re using it for adoptable storage)

I got 'a few' from Stratford Westfields CarPhoneWarehouse not so long ago (£10 a pop, not too bad at all!, happy day's). :-) At least 15+ of them things were still there on my leaving ... And they are still open for the next 2-3 hour's also (for anyone 'local-ish'?). :-) Happy hunting everyone. :-)

Hahahahahahahahaha, YEP!., me either, looooool. BUT, as per my previous above ... (highfive)

Note to self, IF a NOW currently cheaper 'option' arises, for more-or-less same/similar/better, etc, take it, no?. Class 10, AND U3/4K rated also! :{ And under their existing 3 for 2 Deal, that's literally less than £10 EACH for these Samsung Evo Plusbbad boys! (pretty much?). But though, this Deal EXPIRES at the close of business TODAY! (Tuesday 10th April 2018!). So guess where my a$$ is heading towards now? (cheeky) Do the same ... (flirt)

Don't hold your breath for indefinite reduced prices on these, etc? (a 64GB Kingston Micro-SD Card I purchased a few of on Amazon in Jan' 2015, Feb' 2015, and Mar' 2015, for between £11.20-£11.30 at the time, are still nearer the £20 on Amazon, for the exact same Class 10 thing's). It's been almost 2 Year's before such price's have finally decided to start coming back in time to 2015/2016 price's? (as it were), and I wouldn't hold by breath in it lasting - don't forget also, Brexit stuff's in the near to distant future - of 1-2 Year's time (including 1 or 2 other hidden/unforeseen anomalies in the past too, etc) are also set to potentially thwart some of these future declining prices too perhap's ... Get as many as you can, while you can at current price's, etc I say? - as no one know's as to what happen's Tomorrow (literally). I fortunately got a good fill of both 32GB and 64GB Micro-SD Card's back in 2014-2015 when price's for such thing's were a bit more favourable, etc ... But as you can appreciate, be Devices's I've put a lot of these into have since depleted a reasonable amount of that stash, lol, so for now at least, I'm ok (I'll of-course be soon on the hunt for more replenishing, etc, but not in any immediate hurry for now). I'm hoping (like yourself too I'm guessing), that price's inevitably fall some more for the next couple of Week's at least? (before then sadly hitting the roof again), and in the interim, I'll re-stack another stash again some more ... That's my 2 Cent's worth anyway. Here's to better/stronger/cheaper price's of these thing's in the near to immediate future. :-)

Don't really need one but.....

umm sort of maxtor started doing it in 1995 or so and other's followed

Erm here's a novel idea.... Could the manufacturers and retailers perhaps advertise the actual capacity they are delivering? Sacrilege I know especially in the over promise under deliver culture of IT.

preecey "Hard drive and SSD manufacturers use the gigabyte to mean 1000000000 bytes. Therefore, the capacity of a 128 GB SSD is 128000000000 bytes. Expressed in gibibytes this is about 119.2 GiB. Some operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, display such a drive capacity as 119 GB, using the SI prefix G with the binary meaning. No space is missing: the size is simply being expressed in a different unit, even though the same prefix (G) is used in both cases."

Err, it's been this way since hard drives and other storage media were first manufactured. It has simply always been the case. No-one is trying to rip you off, it's basic computer knowledge that hard drives, flash drives, blank discs, SD cards, even old floppy disks carry slightly less capacity than what's advertised.

Went to local CW, what is avail is Samsung Evo, not Evo Plus, but it has a comment 100Mbs on the front. The 64GB is UHS-1(3). Is there a difference with this? Also, CW sells 128GB at 49.99 and hence 3 for 2 offer, is still not a good deal.

Just because is so well known doesn't really mean it's the best... A few friends of mine thwy bought brand new Samsung phone and after 2 weeks can't turn on the phone... That's not the best for sure

Are you mad? Samsung Evo series is notoriously one of the best in the business. Samsung products are always high quality.

Those low prices on this memory cards make me feel they are made with a poor quality

Not too sure on how much of a difference this one being evo PLUS is (memory cards aren't my strong suit) but noticed this at work the other day and thought it was a good price, let me know if I'm wrong though please

Not all people need a 1080p TV but most will choose it over a 720p one.

Thanks 6ixFoot1, I'll give this some thought. Look's a good price. I have a USB 3.0 Type A port so I think this would be compatible.

I'm no expert but this just popped up in my email - Maybe be better and faster although it will take up a USB port.

Hi, I'd be grateful if someone could advise me if this card would be suitable for a laptop I have just bought for my daughter who turned 11 today :D it's a Tesco Link 14" Ultra slim which for £200 is astonishing. It states that the memory can be ungraded with ether a Micro SDHC/XC up to 200gb or a M.2 2242 SSD. The laptop only has 32gb left in memory and we are planning to buy Office 2016. She will use the laptop for storing photos, music, and as of late her own homemade pop video's. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks OP, finally decided to bit on the 200 for my Switch.

Several different mobiles over several years so that's not the issue. Different brands too. Samsung and LG. I've since ditched SanDisk and went Samsung and Kingston and haven't had a single failed card.

Depends on the particular Go Pro and how much / what sort of video you're intending to shoot. If you're only infrequently using it to shoot a few short clips here or there, you may be willing to take the risk. If you're shooting alot of high bit rate or 4K video that's important to you, you may want to look elsewhere for a high durability / high performance card.

Sorry what I now realise I meant to ask was do GoPros also require high endurance SD cards? Or just a fast standard SD card?

It'll do me for recording 4K from my Phantom 3 Pro. And thats all I've got to say about that.

As he says, the write speeds on these U3 cards is not great - seq. write 28.4 Mb/s, seq. read 93.8 Mb/s The Exceria pro's, on the other hand are quite respectable - seq. write 80.40 Mb/s, read 94.52 Mb/s

I made this mistake a couple weeks ago and bought a Samsung one to record 4K. I had to order another as the one you posted is still only class 10.

wrong - the U rating is specifically about the write speed whether or not this reaches its own rating is another matter

What about this one - is it worth the extra, it seems it's a U1?
