Older devices may not be able to use SDXC cards, only SDHC or normal SD cards. Check your devices spec sheets.
SDXC spec mandates exFAT whereas SDHC is FAT32 both of which carry a Microsoft licence fee.

Try formatting it as FAT32, if you have a PC or format within the actual devices menu - it may still not work though. The card may simply be faulty.

I always buy sd cards & usb sticks direct from amazon & run tests to check they're genuine.

Even big retailers have unwillingly sold fakes before so always best to check & Amazon don't quibble over returns (not that I've ever had a fake from them).

My memory are trustworthy imo, so I'd have sent it back.

Can I use this in my Nintendo switch
I've got an 128GB full up that I put in a Sony Walkman MP3 player which is the best part of 20 years worth of music that I had on CD before switching to digital media a few years ago, been waiting on either this or the 200GB to go down to a reasonable price. There is a market for this size capacity, it's so much easier having what I think is the best part of 1,000 albums on one of these cards than having shelves everywhere in the house heat for the price.

As OP, In my own case I've bought this for some remote surveillance. 128GB will run out too quickly. The Samsung will get hammered doing this, but the Sandisks are not up to the job. I've had a couple of vandal issues in the last month so if I can catch the culprit, it's money well spent.

But there's genuine Chinese products that are made to exacting specifications by reputable factories then there are the fake Chinese products that look identical but could be any old rejected memory modules that are hacked to give a bigger size when viewed on a device.
