Are the loot boxes pricey is this edition more value for money if you want the loot boxes?
On PSN it's £4.49 for 5 boxes and £8.49 for 11
Cheers so you do save a couple of quid as the game is about £25 everywhere now
May pick it after the free weekend
Works out about same mate as its £22 @tesco direct and amazon

So what does this offer that Origins Edition doesn't? Is it just the loot boxes?
Yup, this seems to just be replacing the Origins Edition while giving you 10 loot boxes too.

Cheers. Now, buying digitally, how do I get the stuff for the other Blizzard games? Will I just link my PSN to my Blizzard account? If I bought physical, that stuff normally comes in code-on-card form...

great game on pro, it's been patched a fair bit since launch.Worth ~20 of anyone's money.
Soundtrack is good... game isn't
It sucks on PC but the console versions may have had more polish?

Heard a lot of mixed reviews about this game.. I'm still on the fence, maybe someone can sway it for me?

Characters and story are pretty good. But the missions get really repetitive quickly :(

Would steer clear. Incredible amount of glitches and I got locked out from many side missions as a result. Even main missions were borked at times and needed a restart of the console. Music is awesome though :/

There's no one playing TR co-op survival mode. Only achievements I haven't got any of :( Nae mates
I really want TF2 at that price but can't shake the feeling it's heading to EA Access.

Multiplayer-reliant achievements (especially for non-established franchises) are stupid IMO.

Are people still playing TF2 online? I remember stories about there being a big drop-off from TF1 online, soon after which made it difficult to properly match-make, etc.

Normally weekdays around 8K plus(nighttime) during weekends goes up to 10K in Europe area alone. Buy it mate!

Can confirm on Xbox. Never takes long to get a game and always puts a smile on my face. It is different to TF1 but after a while you appreciate the changes they've made. The movement in particular is so far ahead of any other FPS, it makes playing anything other than TF2 quite boring. Also, next (free) DLC drops on 30 May.

What a surprise TF2 is already dowb to £15. Probably got something to do with fact it's crap compared to first one and nobody is buying it.
I thought this was supposed to be good. Alot of members here have confirmed in the past. Missed out when HMV were selling for 20 quid. The beta was OK. What's not to like for 15 or less?

Honestly if you played and really enjoyed TF1 you will hate 2. It's so different to the first it's like a completely separate game. The only actual similarity is the fact that it's a titan. All the weapons, maps are completely dissimilar. Heck even the music and narrator that made the first game are completely gone.

I bought TF2 and sold it within days and I wouldn't play it again now unless it goes f2p or someone gives me it.

Why not just play the first game?

I still do. It gets busy still from mid afternoon.

To dusktildawn - I'd do the same. It's a cracking game I've put hundreds of hours into it and still go back for more. Send me a PM on here if you do buy it and we could party up!

Just tried to get this and its prompting me to pay. I did originally buy from the Singapore store and have changed regions etc but no joy.
I bought a key from g2a yesterday for the original version and then downloaded the definitive version so thanks OP.

To others who missed this offer it looks like it's now on offer from Microsoft as the price of the definitive edition is now £8.

Pure Pool is one heck of a game. Easily worth £4.
Is it better than Pool Nation FX? I've never tried it, but I was tempted.
So much better. It has issues like not being able to skip the AI's shots but besides stuff like that it's amazing both graphically and gameplay wise. One of my most played games this generation.

As a sony owner that made me laugh... then I remembered Playstaion Now, that we don't have EA access, that GWG kicks ps+ month on month.... I am sad again...We have Killzone and Knack as exclusives though.... have that xbox owners...
I hear that Horizon is decent too, also Persona 5, Nioh, Bloodborne etc etc
Horizon is bloody awesome
I got bored after about 7 hours, Hioh is more my cup of tea, GOTY so far for me.
7 hours? So I assume you haven't left Nora yet?
Just too many things put me off from playing longer, i intend to go back to it once i have completed current games im playing such as FH3 Nioh & P5.
The things that annoyed me were the Inability to Sell or even Drop Treasure Boxes, Having No Lock-On Feature in Combat,Confusing Waypoint Navigation,Tacky Armor, also The AI & Lip Sync are terrible and its hard to be immersed when its like that.
You can drop treasure boxes now, waypoints not too bad if you use the touchpad to confirm the correct route, the armor gets much better the more shards you earn and depending on the machine loot, the AI only gets "dodgy" from experience if you camp in one area and want the enemy to come to you (especially the case with human AI, the machine AI from personal experience is so much better than the human AI), and lip sync is nowhere near as bad as other games like Mass Effect Andromeda. I do agree that no lock on combat does make the game harder at first but you get used to it (as you continually upgrade to better weapons and equip better mods) and then the combat becomes awesome, the game requires more of a tactical approach instead of running straight in, and that becomes clear as you progress (for example when you get on the way to a place called "Sunfall" there are two big (I won't spoil what they are so I'll just call them...) mother effers on the way and if you tried to run and gun they will literally rip you ten new ones. Took me 15 mins initially to get past them)

That list's validity is debatable. Of the titles I've heard of at least a few there are not exclusives or are also available on iOS/Android, or Windows.

They have been or are exclusive in some form, they are colored on the actual page, showing how they are exclusive but obviously the colors don't carry here after i copy/paste.

Yes, They are removing it from sale as new or download, but it will still work afterwards, although to be honest most used stores (CEX/Game/Music Magpie) will still be selling copies for a long time to come..

even tho its free you need a valid payment card linked to your account for 360 content.
That's what's odd. I do have payment. I bought Fruit Ninja 2 from the website the other day. Do you need to have a 360 for this to work?

I get the 360 games that are free as part of the games with gold with no issue.

Dell Xps 13 has not UHD and no external graphics card whereas with the i7, you can get external graphics card.

Just a free trial, stops about 20 mins in. Plus, already posted (under the PS4 version)
I received an e-mail from Xbox advertising the free download. How do you upload an image?
Are you sure its the whole episode and not just the first 10-15 minutes before it asks you to pay to continue?

Why would you want to upgrade to 10 and then regret all your life? Windows 7 for life for me.
Gaming and Gaming only. Its the only reason to have Windows. Until ALL dev's have a Linux version :)

Or use the Creators Edition update download from MS and choose "clean install". Win 10 will always be free via a clean install.
Do you have a source that confirms this?
AFAIK, clean install of Win10 Creators auto activates only if you'd previously activated the original Win10 on the same hardware.

To clear things up.

The original Windows 10 release only provisioned for a free upgrade from existing installs of Windows 7 or 8.x for the first 12 months. Things have changed, and you can safely ignore anyone advising this now.

The current version of Windows 10 allows for a clean install, and you can activate it during install using your existing Windows 7 or 8.x key. Previously activated Windows 10 installed will be automatically re-activated using the same keys, or without any key at all if you've signed in with a Microsoft account at login.

If you sign in with a Microsoft account, your activation key will be linked to the account for that machine and no key will be required to activate further clean installs - just select the skip option at product key prompt during installation.

If you have a OEM machine from Dell, HP etc, you'll automatically get a Windows 10 upgrade key using the OEM pre-install keys. These are automatically used with restore discs/partitions, and is linked to a cert embedded in the BIOS.
A side effect is that the COA sticker that has a product key attached to your machine can be used on a 2nd machine.

Once Windows 10 activated, the machine has a digital entitlement key assigned to it, and again if you sign in with a Microsoft account at login, you'll be able to do clean installs without the need of keys.

The loop-hole use of 'assistive technologies' is no longer a requirement for a free upgrade.
You can clean install (ISO to DVD/USB) and upgrade using the Windows 10 media creation tool, found at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

Ok so try and figure this out my mum's laptop was on windows 7 until yesterday never upgraded to Windows 10 as I maintained it til windows 10 was stable for my mum to use it, I got the creators tool burned it to a USB then pulled the 64bit setup folder and started the upgrade to windows 10 while on still on the windows 7 desktop, after about 45 mins it confirmed a perfect activation.
I didn't bother doing the whole assistive technologies as it was too much time wasting.

indeed
a lot of new machines don't have a COA sticker
to get your re-usable product key, you need to use a keyfinder such as jellybean magical keyfinder (free app that takes a few seconds to install)

obviously you would do this BEFORE you upgrade to W10

Why wouldn't you have Gold if you have an Xbone?
I don't do that much online multiplayer myself but seeing you can always get an annual sub for around a score or perhaps a tad more in recent times round Black Friday it's worth it alone for the discounts and IGC 8)
Of course the blue eyed blondie keyboard n mouse brigade will speak of it being shameless robbery blah blah blah. But if you game on consoles it is what it is and ever since the PS4 launched GwG have really pushed the boat out with their monthly selection whislt PS+ has been a blatant pxxx taking cash grab with the load of old pony you get on that.
Edit: great deal and even though I don't own the game I keep toying with the idea of getting it, all the more so seeing my best pal who is a driving game nut is coming up from Essexshire for the weekend tonight. So heat from the Chas and I may even grab this DLC pack regardless, anyone know if any of the supermarkets or any other high street retailer are doing the full game cheap at all yet?
I have a PC for gaming, and only really use my XBox for Offline Forza, FIFA and local multiplayer. Although Scorpio might tempt me.
I said about the Aryan nation commenting and you're one yourself :D but in all seriousness I understand where you're coming from. Though I would still maintain that when anyone can get a year of Gold for anything south of a pony it's well worth it ;)
Jury is very much as regards the benefits of upgrading to the Pro, never mind the Scorpio with how much that will cost for something that is only a beefed up Xbone so I am proper on the fence on that one.

Cex have it for £12 if that's any use? Well worth getting.
Blimey is that so oO I'm out walking canine Loyal at the minute but had a check and see there is a CEX in Lincoln. We moved up this manor 6 weeks ago now and I still not been in the city centre shopping bit as such but I may well take a gander up there as we need to go Aldi and Waitrose in a bit.
Thanks for that tip, much appreciated
They have it at cdkeys for £12.99 if you don't fancy a trek out.

Yeah thanks for that but we need to go shopping anyway and I am very much a physical hard copy sort of person so I'll make the effort.

Am I right in thinking you can't buy DLC with your XB/MS pre paid credit?

Every time I've tried to buy any add ons for any of the monthly games that come out on Gold it don't give me the option to use my credit which is most frustrating seeing I got over 80 quid on there :(

microsoft store logoShopping Online for Microsoft Products

The Microsoft store is an online store run by software and gaming giant Microsoft. Founded in 2009, the Microsoft Store is the place to go for product updates, new versions of Microsoft Windows, Surface PCs and other Microsoft products.

What Products Can You Buy at the Microsoft Store?

The current Microsoft Store product range is divided into the following categories at
www.microsoftstore.com:

  • Devices – Includes all Microsoft Surface PCs, PCs designed by firms like Acer and HP, Xbox One gaming consoles, Xbox 360 consoles, accessories for all Xbox systems such as Kinect, racing wheels and controllers. Also features the Microsoft Band, the firm’s fitness tracker, as well as the full range of Microsoft Lumia tablets.
  • Software – Includes familiar Microsoft products like MS Office 2016 (with home, office and student options), Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 10 Pro along with other software packages like Visual Studio and Visio.
  • Apps – A huge selection of Microsoft apps for Windows devices divided into free and paid apps, as well as apps for Xbox devices such as Blinkbox and the BBC iPlayer.
  • Entertainment – Divided into Films & TV and Music. Includes sections devoted to new TV shows and the latest movie releases as well as featured box sets. Music includes the latest albums and a selection of individual tracks.
  • Business & Education – Features products dedicated to businesses such as PCs, tablets and phones along with business-friendly accessories for Surface PCs such as pens, docking stations and display ports. Also includes accessories like foldable keyboards, Bluetooth mice, flat screen monitors and the Lumia tablet range.
  • There is also a special section dedicated to Xbox systems and Xbox related products. Here, you can buy the latest themed gaming bundles, download or order titles and request support for Xbox games.

microsoft store devices products

Along with Microsoft’s own branded products, the Microsoft Store also features other big name brands, including:

Using the Microsoft Store

To buy items on the Microsoft Store, simply add each item as normal to your online shopping trolley. After that, you may need to register for a Microsoft account, although if you already have an email account with the company, you can use this to log in.

With a Microsoft account you can do more than just shop at the Microsoft Store. You can use Outlook to manage your emails, store documents on the OneDrive, edit spreadsheets on the move by using the Cloud, Skype for free, join Xbox Live or earn credits by searching the web with the Bing Rewards scheme. Shoppers will also receive regular updates and offers from the Microsoft Store. They can track their orders and manage any purchases they make.

Sales at the Microsoft Store

Microsoft regularly offers big discounts via their online store. If you are looking for the latest offers, go to the Sales section where you can find the best deals with the biggest current reductions across all of the firm’s product areas or reductions on Xbox, Tablets & PCs or Lumia Phones.

microsoft store windows phone lumia

Microsoft also plays their part on Black Friday and will be scheduling a huge range of discounts this November to get their festive sales effort into gear. When the big day comes this year, check out their Microsoft Black Friday deals to avoid missing out.

Payment Methods Accepted by microsoftstore.com

The Microsoft Store currently accepts the following payment methods: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, and American Express. Payments can also be processed via PayPal.

All payments are safeguarded by Verizon Cybertrust Security to ensure that customers are protected against the theft of their personal details.

Shipping Options from the Microsoft Store

Microsoft ship all of their items via a preferred carrier who delivers from Monday to Friday, not weekends or Bank Holidays. As a rule, if you submit an order before the close of business, it will be processed and despatched the next working day.

All Standard Deliveries are free of charge and should be with you within 3-5 working days. You can also choose to ship your items Express or Priority if you require next day delivery. In these cases, delivery fees apply and these will be shown clearly when you place your order.

Returning Items to the microsoftstore.com

Microsoft will offer a refund on any product within 30 days of the physical product being delivered or a software product being downloaded. You do not need to give the firm any reason for your return, but items need to be returned no later than 14 days after you express your intention to seek a refund.

All returns need to include the original packaging as well as any documentation and components that came with the product.

To make a return, go to the “Order history” section of your account. Now press the “Return” link next to the item you want to send back. This will lead you through the returns policy step-by-step. Alternatively, you can telephone Microsoft’s Sales and Support team on 0800 0260329 to inform them that you are returning an item. The phone line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Sales and Support Team will inform you whether you need to add a Returns Label to your package and tell you where it has to be sent. All packages need to be sent via UPS. To find your nearest UPS drop-off point, their website is a good place to look. When the item is received, Microsoft will send a confirmation email. You will also be informed via email if the refund has been granted and this will also appear in your order history.

Microsoft on Social Media

Social media channels are a great way to make contact with Microsoft’s customer service staff, who can help out with any queries relating to the Microsoft online store. They are also good places to learn about upcoming releases and new discounts:

Another place to head for updates about Microsoft’s services and deals is the Microsoft Blog, which features a regular stream of tech articles as well.

Contacting Microsoft

Microsoft can be contacted in a number of ways. The best way to contact them is probably by phone at 0800 0260329 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). You can also contact technical support with product based queries via the phone number 0344 8002400.

Alternatively, you can choose to write to Microsoft UK’s head office:

Microsoft Campus
Thames Valley Park
Reading, RG6 1WG
United Kingdom

However, for most simple queries, the Microsoft Store’s FAQ section will supply the answers.

If you need a new copy of Windows, a Lumia tablet or the latest model of Xbox, the Microsoft Store is the place to head. Microsoft regularly offers reductions on every part of their product range and the latest deals can be found at the Microsoft Store HotUKDeals pages.
