**This Thread Has Been Un-Spammed multiple times, please do not member spam it, thanks - Holly1985 [Mod] **
Phone is now £4.99 (T-Mobile) or £9.99 (EE). Deal Price includes £10 top-up making £14.99 or £19.99. Both items can be reserved and collected.
Why waste £600+ on an iPhone 6 for your spotty teenager when you can buy a Nokia 106 and keep them safe from smartphone muggers and the dangers of Internet addiction for under a tenner?
Advantages over iPhone 6
*Price, Buy 60 for the price of one iPhone, or just buy one and spend the savings on more important things.
*Battery lasts for 3 weeks (really).
*Phone can be used one-handed
*Small and compact. Easily pocketed or put in a purse.
*Cool retro design
*Will never run out of memory
*Free classic games installed.
*Unlikely to be stolen.
*Extremely robust and drop resistant. It will not cost £100 to replace the screen.
*Does not bend out of shape whilst in your pocket
Seriously, this is a great budget phone. I have one which I use as a pub-phone, or give to my young children to use as an emergency contact device when they go out. Nobody will mug them for it and if it gets lost or broken it is no big deal.
Feel free to vote cold if you consider Apple or other phones to be of superior value.
edit: rnr81 posted that this phone can be found for £14.99 including top-up at the EE Store. Even better value!
edit: hiswife posted that Argos now sell the T-Mobile 106 for just £14.99 including topup.

sorted byThis pretty much sums up the 'pond life' that frequent HUKD nowadays TBF. You would be amazed at the amount of times I have heard people say they don't visit this site because of idiocy like this trollfest. Bizarrely the owners of the site just sit back and watch oblivious to their reputation going down the toilet.
FYI I don't have an iPhone and actually intend buying a Nokia 730 shortly (before all the accusations start to fly).

I used to come on this website and find good deals easily but now I have to filter through piles of trash to find them.
A message to the powers that be: Please sort it out!
I do not understand why you feel it is your moral objective to defend Android on HUKD. Why do you feel obligated to convert iPhone users and show everyone the light? It just makes you look argumentative and silly to be frank.
Not everyone is an iPhone sheep. Some people like the phone for what it is, and the service they get from it. Others are a bit sheepish, and will queue for days to get their hand on the latest block of plastic/metal being released from the company in cuppertino. The same can be said for android users. Some just want to make a phone call and want a decent phone for a decent price. Others want the latest gizmo and are willing to pay £600 for the latest 12inch screen galaxy phone or whatever ridiculous device is being released. Sheeps will be sheep, and they exist on both sides of the fence.
As for freedom? You want people to buy phones and root it and put ROMs on there? Been there done that, cyanogenmod and a few others - even modded a ROM and coded bootloaders. I just need something now that lets me check emails, RSS feeds, browse the web/wikipedia, and send texts and make calls, and snap an occasional photo. I dont need a £600 device, because my £240 device does that. Some people might think its worth spending more.
Maybe when I was 19 I wanted to buy a car and tweak the engine and put racing stripes on there, and shiny alloys and exhaust pipes. But for some people they just want a car to get from A to B, and for it to look good and not breakdown, also to allow for a babyseat and a suitcase in the boot. At some stage in life, you just need something that just works and not need mechanical knowhow to work properly.
Your never truly free. Who are you free from?
The manufacturer who gives you warranty and (delayed) updates?
The ROM developer who may not have the time to do bugfixes and may drop the project at any time?
The network provider who fixes the prices for your calls and texts?
The NSA who snoop on the same satellites that your call gets rooted through?
The appstore who takes a 30% cut of developers money and can at any time delist your app?
The app developers who show tonnes of ads and may not fix your apps or leave security holes in them?
Just give up. Your not converting anyone. You like phone xyz then buy it, if someone else likes an Apple phone let them buy it. Why should everyone in the world share your views? You want to express your opinions, well it just takes one post, not 99 to express your views. This site isnt about telling people what to like and buy, but to show people the deals on the products they like. If you dont like a post, scroll past it. Dont give yourself and aneurysm over someone claiming some product is better than the product you own. In the grand scale of the universe, it doesn't make a spec of difference.
Yes you are.
I'm not sure you understand what Tunner is saying.
This site is for people who wants to save a little extra money for items. If you truly think that spending around £1000 (contract over 2 years) is a good deal and can afford it then why are you even on this site.

If you feel so peeved go post the lower price... I suspect with your sense of humour failure it'll probably go cold.
Lol get a grip mate.
Ok, I was watching this deal this morning when it was marked as spam. I was a little surprised at that, considering the fact it is a good deal from a reputable (sic!) high street retailer. It smacked as being a bit heavy handed by the mods that this was flagged as spam, as it was clear that the deal was good, but they potentially objected to the (very funny!) description and the subsequent comments more than the deal itself.
Now, before I get accused of being an apple or android fanboy, let me be clear that I have owned both (and neither!!) platform in my time and can see the advantages and disadvantages of both....
BUT!!! Let me be absolutely clear on one point - I am sick to the back teeth of legitimate posts like this being ripped apart by both sides. For gods sake people, most of us are grown ups and perfectly capable of making informed decisions ourselves... we do not need immature, divisive and unnecessarily inflammatory comments on here to help make our minds up!
If all you can do is troll someone for their choice of phone (and before you comment, think about that very carefully and realise just how completely ridiculous that is!!) then clear off and interfere with some other internet-based forum that tolerates that kind of idiocy.
Rant over... and yes, I feel MUCH better thank you!!

edit: both phones are 6-7 months old. I actually purchased the 106 as a backup for the iPhone, as I broke my previous smart phone after dropping it on a boys night out.

HOT HOT HOT!
Sent from my Nokia 101 using Telepathy
(edited)
1) you can get it cheaper elsewhere
2) i don't take advice from people with 5 fingers up their ar*e
No the heat and comments show that most have realised that Apple products are no different to other brands except the ever increasing price and a brand name
Sad some people still think an Apple product is worth paying that extra for
Q: How can you tell which one of your friends has the new gold iPhone 6?
A: Don't worry, they'll let you know.
Q: Why won't blondes take their iPhones to the bathroom?
A: Because they don't want to give away their IP address!
(edited)
maybe but still shows the mentally of this site, since the fact apple is not worth the cost, is a discussion not a deal, so does not need heat,
the heat / deal is based on the product witch you can get cheaper from 4-5 diffent places,

tho what do you expate from a site that bans its dsyilxc members for 30 days for defeating them selfs when bullys pick on spelling (with stared out words even tho theys worst adult enudos in every cucumber topic), yet let fake non deals like this are allowed to go on / be posted with nothing happing to the ops, than ofc this site is well byond being a joke
