Ps go Android. It's the future...

I hope so - but not if there are outrageous courtroom judgements that allow a dictatorship like Apple to hold the rest of the world to ransom ...

Yup random Americans in a jury can be silly on occasion. Well if they can mistake a galaxy for an iPhone. Gimme a gun, sob.

    This. 710 is infinitely better

Agreed. You would be mad to buy the 610 at this price.

At the end of the day, as I was referring to earlier, it isn't just Android that has apparently "copied" Apple's "ideas" here.

Windows has as well. So eventually Apple will be going after them.

I just want them to go after Motorola/Google -- then we'll really see the sparks fly, and with any luck Apple getting a taste of their own.

Honestly, Samsung having to pay a $bn because someone else's software running on their product apparently breaks patents, yet Apple-designed hardware that uses Samsung patents without licence gets away scot-free. What is the world coming to?

Can't be having this on sale. It's a smartphone with rounded edges with pinch resize and scroll bounceback.

Nokia must be a bunch of pirates, just like Samsung lol.

As has been said, get the 710 instead.

im surprised this phone didn't come out with a price tag of £70 sim free, its specs are so low, even low end android phones are better speced

Not a bad deal. But as has been said there are better deals to be had for WP7.

The 710 is better built, has a faster processor, better screen and more RAM same goes for the HTC Mozart. I would take one of those instead.

The new WP8 Nokias are unlikely to get the 41Mp sensors, though they may get a ~20Mp one + the clever software...

Still perfectly happy with my Lumia 800 and looking forward to WP7.8 Only problem I have with it these days is that the camera is pretty poor compared with the Galaxy SIII, though that's 9 months newer I guess...

The spec is a bit different, but for me the feel of the 610 is that of a better phone. Free delivery suits me too so it deserves heat as a good deal.

With Windows Phone specs aren't everything, the joys of an OS optimised for the hardware it runs on.

No Windows Phone 7 phone will be upgradeable to Windows Phone 8. So if you buy a WP7 device just be aware that there is no natural update to WP8.
  25. J88NYr's avatar
Not a bad deal, but as said before 710 is the same price and a better phone.

For £100 though you cant go wrong though, the OS is really nice and you wont get a nicer experience on another OS, android is complete dog **** on the cheaper slower phones.

If you wait a bit longer though, you might be able to get a 800 or 900 for around this price in a month or two when the WP8 stuff is launched.

Another plus one to the 710.

Better build, nicer screen (clear black light diffusion for outdoor viewing), 1.4ghz vs 800mhz chip, double the RAM (to gain access to an un-gimped market place), better camera module, faster GPU.

I never thought that this phone made any sense, but if you really have to have it, it's probably the best price for it.

But that's just in the US, if their courtrooms keep doing it we may see things released in Europe and not the US instead of vice versa in the future

Windows Mobile is amazing - picked up a 710 last month and it is far more intuitive than an apple attempt - great phones at reasonable prices - well recommended

I'd prob try and get a pre-owned 800 to be honest but either way good phone with a good OS.

    No, it's the present.

Having at least three OS's that compete equally is nothing but a good thing - having 2 OS's that look and function very similarly is lazy and holds back development. Whether you like windows phone or not this is how I feel; and I'm glad to say that the general consensus on HUKD is that windows phone deals tend to rank pretty highly, and get good to explosive temperatures with those willing to try something new and advocates who have used the system before and currently.

Bought my daughter the 710 (which I would recommend over the 610 as it's the same price just about) - in terms of speed, fluidity and usability it outperforms my xperia s even though the xperia has a better tech and screen. I'll be switching to windows phone 8 in the future but this is an excellent deal for a great phone.

Personally I would never buy windows mobile, however my son got himself one of these yesterday, had a play with it earlier and was fairly impressed, coming up as £79 now so at that price I would highly recommend for someone who does not want an infinite amount of apps and wants a decent looking phone. Hot from me, good find.

How often have you asked a question, and someone knew a better route or site ?
