This drive comes with a 3year warranty.
If it fails you will get a new one, and chances are as the months pass by you will end up with a newer model as this is phased out.

All my important docs are backed up daily to external drive and wuala cloud backup, so I am not overly worried.
Installing OS and core apps does not take huge amount of time.
I have just installed mine, and will see how it goes.

I installed mine 3 days ago after putting new firmware on it. Been fine up to now. Win7 was easy to install on it.

Picked it up when it was £58 the other week. Sooo much faster than my old normal drive.

Not a great drive by SSD standards, but at that price it's hard to fault it.

Nice, cheap from a step-up from a mechanical drive.

It might not be the best SSD but as long as its fit for purpose then its a great deal.

Ordered one but have now cancelled it due to the vast amount of bad reviews out there. Seems there are many who are happy with it but just as many who are unhappy and knowing my luck............
  12. Azwipe's avatar
Wouldn't want to put it in my main PC's (M4's for those) due to reliability issues but ordered for laptop, will just clone the HDD and swap it back if it fails.

I'm still using two gen 1 Indilinx SSDs like this one and they are amazing compared to hard disks. Never had a problem with my Vertex and it's been in my machine for nearly two years.
  14. steven5watson's avatar
Great price and with regular backups will be well worth it. Ordered. Thanks.
  15. cosmic48's avatar
Ordered the last one - will see how it performs. Seems its OK with the latest firmware but I mainly want it for scratch and cache files for image/video editing.

Good price for something to do a it of experimenting with - heat added

main thing with alot of reviews, who posts a good review? I for one, if something fails or annoys me i am more likely to review it, but if somethings great with no issues, i probably wouldnt! Could be hundreds or thousands of happy people with this drive...

People keep saying unreliable, i've had it for 6 months now, you just need to upgrade the firmware straight away and you won't have any problems with the drive. also if you're limited to sata 2 it's not a bad buy, especially for this price.
