I think these give out 1.7 volts rather than the normal 1.5 volts and can cause some problems if your electronic device is not voltage regulated.

Rather than pay 4.49 for 12 throw away ones, buy some of the new Panasonic Infinium Ni-Mh Rechargeable at 5.99 for 4, they come pre charged and hold their charge for over a year. Also you can recharge them 1000 times so effectively you get 4000 uses instead of just 4 with the throw away ones!.

Good luck with convincing people of the obvious benefits... I have tried until I am blue in the face, but some people just don't want to save money, as well as the planet!

I'd like to think the sums make sense and most people on this site like to save money, fingers crossed we will have a few converts to the new pre charged/hold the charge rechargables!
