Email from Premier Inn, stated many rooms £35 and under. Well I had a quick check for Sunday 20 November (Sundays are usually cheapest in any hotel, anywhere), and the St. James Park Westminster hub

Thanks. I managed to book a weekend in Uxbridge at the start of December for £79.
I was looking at similar and found Travelodge Uxbridge much cheaper. Around £66 for 2 nights and regular promotions to bring the price down.
I'd much rather pay £79 for premier inn than £66 for travelodge. You can't really compare them, they are different products.
Fair enough. Not stayed in a premier inn but have stayed at that travelodge earlier in the year.
I will second that. Travelodge marginally better than a cardboard box. Ibis slightly higher up the food chain.
Premier Inn a class above for both rooms and staff.

Not sure why people voting this cold? I book a few stays with premier inn every year, £35 a night is a good deal.
I think it's down to people looking at the site, selecting various locations and not finding a single room for £35.
Instead of commenting that the deal is a load of b0ll0cks, they just down vote.

Which is exactly what I just done. Apart from down voting.

As said before, not a deal, been doing it for around 5 years or even more but thanks op as not everyone knows you can just walk in and have the breakfast!
It's becoming a bit expensive. It's fine if it's just one adult with kids but otherwise a bit pricy
Very expensive if you only have a yoghurt and a piece of fruit, due to medical reasons.
it is 2 kids per adult for sure. was there two weeks ago.
I wasn't aware of this so thanks for posting.

We bought a king divan bed from Premier inn and we've now had it 2 weeks. Aside from it being a right pain to get up the stairs, it's a delight to sleep on. We did add a thin mattress topper but not for comfort, my hubby is known to spill a lot of things! We have both slept very soundly since we've had it. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I don't know whether i should be wondering what he's spilling in bed X)

ha ha, nothing like that. He has an overactive thyroid, so eats like he's starving, quite often comes to bed with bowl of cereal or those little fruit pots which you can guarantee he will drip juice everywhere.

We've had our bed a month now and have no compaints about it at all. It is medium-firm I'd say. You can feel the rise and furrow of the top pillow layer underneath you as you lie on it, which I don't mind - it's not 100% flat like some matresses.

I stayed in a Premier Inn 2 weeks ago and felt the mattress there was exactly the same as mine at home, but I didn't strip the bed to inspect it - I just lay on it and had a good nights sleep.

For the money, I'd definitely recommend it.

It's probably one of the safest cities in the UK (Ironically). Through our business I deal with people on the mainland, it's surprising how many don't know it's part of the UK. It can still be difficult to entice them over to spend money. "Belfast"!!!!! ? They must think it's still like Lebanon.

Just don't get on a Paddy Wagon going up the Shankill or wear a Rangers top going up the Falls road and you'll be fine

what is Belfast like this century . i have only heard about the past in Belfast with the Catholic and Protestant divide if that is over and religion is no big thing and no more riots or Police in riot vans or people beating you up for being English then it would be interesting .
I think, even the most British hating inhabitants of Belfast realise that English visitors have no real opinion on the situation and feel no reason to attack them.
that is good to know it never used to be that way just being English was enough reason to be beaten by some IRA supporters
You won't be allowed in to Belfast

I think the Irish are going through a major image change. I mean, the old image of Leprechauns, shamrocks, Guinness, horses running through council estates, toothless simpletons, people with eyebrows on their cheeks, badly tarmacced drives in this country, men in platform shoes being arrested for bombings, lots of rocks, and Beamish. I think people are saying yes, there's more to Ireland than this. Dere's more to Oireland dan dis!

Obviously you must be Irish then.

Glad some of you benefitted. But going by the lack of heat people are voting based on dislike for P. I. prices in general. Rather than saying oh look, some things for cheaper than usual. It'll come newbies, it'll come. Takes patience to grasp how this place works :{

Yes if you book a rate over £39. Most saver rates are £39 or less so not such a good deal.
No they're not, I use these often for work and rarely get a room under £70 using the saver rate.
Every month I book 4 or 5 nights at Premier Inn's for work and as I book up to 6 weeks in advance I never pay more than £39
Lucky you, as a call out engineer I don't have that luxury, I book on the day and it's never anywhere near that price.
The deal isn't going to be for everyone and I agree with supporting local businesses, premier inns aren't great value anymore (imho) but I'm sure many use these for work or the odd occasion at the weekend and will benefit the offer!
That's why I said most saver rates are under £39 - typically a saver rate is booked in advance, if you are booking on the day/day before then yes you are going to get hit with a premium but the silver lining is you can make use of this offer!

I get saver rates on the day but as you say, they're still at a premium

seen Hotels.com do this as well (most of the time get a decent low rate on there compared to the hotel direct as well), but looks like Premier Inn don't sign up / pay to be on there, guess that's why they're doing their own version

Theyre over £70 for a double room in 6 different hotels in the Southampton area, I plan to visit in July.
That's for just 1 person, me.
That's expensive for a basic box.
There's NO £50 bargains at all.
Where does it say that on the website Aclondon please?
ps I blame the Lenny Henry advert, sleeping on a beach, yuk!
Obviously I'm not sure when you are planning to go in July but every hotel in Southampton on Sunday 5th July is £35... So you are right that is not a £50 bargain at all!
Really? Wow that's a bargain. Its the 25th which is after Schools break up, hence the 60% price hike.
Looks like the cheaper room are OUTSIDE OF TERM TIME. ie Not on in the Kids Summers.
Maybe put that in your title for clarification??

Sundays are always cheaper - end of week. Even during August Southampton in still only £39 on a Sunday.

£8.95 for breakfast can never be considered a "bargain"
Find a local supermarket - lets be honest you are never far from one in the UK - get a bag of cereal fruit etc and you are sorted for far far less.
Shame also that the £29 rooms have now become £35 - guess that's the cost of providing slow as anything broadband!
.
HAHA I seen someone try to do this was so funny he said people were running up and down the halls knocking. He never got his refund as they said because nothing was recorded by anyone else they would have to write to head office. His face was a picture
