About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Not one for all, I know lots of people hate redemption deals, but if thats your thang then this is a stupidly cheap deal.
Samsung Galaxy Y on Talk Mobile
250 minutes
5000 texts
500Mb internet
Pay £7.50/month then claim back most of it by redemption, making it £1.53/month. Topcashback pay £30.30, so averages at 27p/month. Thats under £6.50 for the whole 2 years.
Sure its no S3, but would make a great kids handset.
EDIT: Make sure you choose the 99p line rental as your free gift, not the £30 cashback.
Thanks to blaster for the following:

If you're struggling with the above as there's some confusion on the website or you don't have the account number, ring 0800 049 1067, use Option 1, and they will cancel the insurance there and then (and send confirmation in the post). They then told me to ring 0844 499 4744 to cancel the technical support policy, which was confirmed over the phone. If you took out more than one phone contract, you'll only have one gadget policy per household apparently.

sorted byFirst, you go to the deal through TopCashback. That will (eventually) get you a cashback payment of £30.30 if you take out a phone contract on mobiles.co.uk. If you aren't registered on TopCashback, you need to do that first (it's free).
Then, once you have signed up for the contract, choosing the money back by redemption offer, you will pay the bills as normal (direct debit) and claim the money back by sending in certain bills, about one in three. Mobiles.co.uk have a chart to tell you which bills to send in. YOU MUST DO THIS TO GET THE MONEY BACK. You can send the bills in online, as scans or pdf files, and you have about two months to do it each time. Mobiles.co.uk will email you to acknowledge that they have received the bills, and they even tell you if you sent in the wrong one, but they will NOT remind you to do it. Every time you send in the right bill, you get a cheque a few weeks later for whatever the amount of redemption is.
PS- I am old too, but have made this work on a couple of contracts. I am very sharp, mind.

Insurance Cancellation
I cancelled my insurance using the the second link above provideded by blaster ( thanks ). I needed an account number that was sent to me by PhoneCare ( the providers of the insurance ) in the post a few days after the phone arrived.
I was a bit worried about using the first link from blaster as I wasn't sure that the web site was ok.
I received this an email back from PhoneCare explaining that the insurance was now cancelled see below.
Thank you for your recent email.
Your insurance policy has now been cancelled. As you cancelled within 14 days of taking out the policy no payment has been taken from your account.
You also have a Gadget Helpline that is run by a separate company called TMTI, if you haven't already cancelled this service you can do so by contacting them on 08444 772 995 and selecting option 2.
I hope this is now resolved for you. If you need any more help please either reply to this email or call our team on 0870 111 7002, between 9am and 7pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm Saturday and 10am - 5pm Sunday.

It's not on their website - it's on talkmobile.co.uk, as it's the network rather than the broker that bills you. You need an account number to log in for the first time, which you won't be able to find anywhere, so don't waste your time trying to look! Just ring Talkmobile on 5888 and they'll give you it - they ask security questions like what bank your DD is taken from, DOB etc. from there it's quite simple.
100 minutes and texts for £7 a month, 2 years ago they gave me a nokia ( blackberry style ) that i sold for £90
so my contract has cost me £78
however i now need more minutes and texts although 250 of each would be more than enough
so 24 x £7.50 = 180, less 30 cashback so £150, sell phone for £60 ( assume unlocked and unbranded) so contract cost £90
so unless 3 offer me £3.75 a month x 24 then this could be for me
secure.tmti.net/vip/ to cancel the gadget thing.
No worries. Just be aware that the last time I got a deal from these guys I got no paperwork or reference numbers for either the insurance or gadget thing. This was partly due to my stupid bank. Anyway - two quick phone calls and no hard sell to keep it and I was out of the insurance and gadget cover. Obviously keep it til the end of your first month on the insurance bit - always worth a free month of it. The gadget line get shot of straight away. Ask on here if you need help or pm me.
Will do mate, cheers, assuming I actually get the deal mind, at the 'can you please call us on this number' stage right now...

Once again - been there! Ring them and they will give you some rubbish about your card not being accepted or something. Tell them that you will get cashback. They will usually match or knock a few quid off if you do it over the phone. Be prepared for a good few minutes of 'I have to read this out for terms and conditions' malarky. Last time the cashback offered was £50 - I got £40 off my first bills. Can cope with that!
use the contact link i provided as well as cancelling the dd just to be sure, just fill in the details online and they send you a email confirming its cancelled. I used the link and got this reply the next day. I didnt have the insurance policy number so just entered 8 x 0 and put in the text box i didnt have the policy but wanted to cancel with imediate effect, just covers you incase they do manage to take your money you can prove you cancelled within the 14 days.
Dear Mr xxxxxx,
Thank you for your email.
Your insurance policy has now been cancelled. As you cancelled within 14 days of taking out the policy no payment has been taken from your account. In addition you will receive a letter in the next 7 days to confirm the policy has been cancelled.
If you need more help, please reply to this email or call Customer Services on 0870 111 7002 between 9am and 7pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm Saturday and 10am - 5pm Sunday. One of our advisors will be happy to help you.
If you would also like to cancel your TMTI VIP Technical Support please give them a quick call on: 0844 477 2995 to do so.
Kind Regards

I downloaded CutePDF, then print the TalkMobile bill to that and upload the PDF as normal. Have been doing this for several TM contracts over the past couple of years, no probs.
Anyone switching from an existing talkmobile Pay as You Go tariff?
I'm currently on Talkmobile's Pay as you go (Essentials) tariff. Would I also need to port my number to another network, or can I just give them a talkmobile PAC?
Thanks.
Your phone has a calendar, I put them in there. As it is linked to my google account I will then be reminded by my phone and my pc.
I can see why you might think that, but don't worry - the TCB is a completely different thing to the mobiles.co.uk cashback - it's just a coincidence that they're both for £30. Mobiles.co.uk don't even know you're getting TCB as well - that comes through the affiliate networks, and is basically the commission they pay to the referrer (I.e. TCB) for getting them the sale. If you'd selected their £30 instead of the 99p line rental then you'd have ended up with £60.30.
On mobiles.co.uk you'll see there are hundreds of deals all offering cashback of some amount, and his is the only one with £30 or 99p for 22mths. If you'd selected a different deal, for example an HTC with £70 cashback on their website, you'd still be following the same £30.30 link from TCB.
The 'topup' of 30p is just what TCB add onto every single cashback amount that they offer, in order to make them more competitive against Quidco. It means that the affiliate network will send them £30 from the retailer, and they'll add 1% (30p) topup to it.
There's never any guarantee of getting your TCB cashback, but I've had over £5k in the past 10 years so as long as you always remember to clear your cookies, it's generally fairly certain. The 99p line rental on the other han is part of the contract you're taking out, and you've got that in writing.
Hope that helps
Could be very handy if lots of people all start posting reminders on this thread as soon as it's cashback time in Dec - I've set reminders on phone and written it on the calendar, but I've got the email subscription to this thread, and if it suddenly becomes active again then it's just another back-up to reduce likelihood of messing things up!
Well I've never stolen anything or done anything bad like that, but you can't really say no to a free phone!
I'm not sure what I signed for, I thought there was one bag the way it was handed to me (massive crumpled bag with a tiny box in it) and I put it by my shoe rack, opened the bag and got the phone out. It was only this morning when I went to throw the bag away that I realised there was a second behind it with another phone in! But I definitely only have one email stating one order etc so I'm not sure what they're up to here

Also setup your talkmobile account here to switch off paper billing and access online billing and save £1.50 a month
talkmobile.co.uk/my-…tml
Why is my first bill
higher than expected?
Your first bill will include the following items:
• A part month line rental charge.
This is your monthly line rental charge from
the day connected to the start of your full
monthly line rental period.
• One month’s line rental billed in advance.
Look on the mobiles.co.uk site .
You will find the online form to fill in under 'Cashback' in ' Useful Links'.
I never bothered with the PDF - I just clicked on view bill, then print preview and took a screenshot of that.
No, just the December bill (assuming that's the one they want for your dates) and you don't need to print it off, you can just take a screenshot (Ctrl-alt-print screen) and save as Jpeg in Paint and send that to them through the link on mobiles.co.uk.
Deal we got is below and £28.64 is correct, your lucky if you got your cheque they have had me jumping through some right hoops to get mine and still no cheque , mobiles.co.uk gone right down in my view
Our Offer:
22 Months £0.99 by redemption
Saving £143.22 (over 24-month period)
Effective average monthly rental - £1.53 (over 24-month period)
Please note: the above calculations are based on the basic line rental and do not include billing.

thanks for the reminder, almost forgot
In December I claimed for 3 cashbacks. Two were confirmed after a few days of submitting claim. The last one I had to chase up twice before it was confirmed. Once confirmed I received all 3 cashbacks. If you don't hear anything after 4 days of submitting I would chase up.
Once again.. probably one of the all time HUKD posts.. thanks
Check online - I have 5 of these on the go, and didn't realise until I went to submit the latest one, that the previous one randomly said 'rejected'. Called them and they have re-issued it, got the cheque today. I think it all went a bit haywire when they changed the system.
I had 3 claims and one was rejected for some unknown reason. I resubmitted the claim and it was rejected again. I emailed them but they took too long to reply so I just called them and they resolved it there and then. I have now received all 3 cheques. I didn't have to wait too long when I called them. Just make sure you call them well within 2 months of the billing date if your claim gets rejected again.
I used the number for customer services from the mobile.co.uk website. It was a 0871 number so I used saynoto0870.com and found the landline equivalent which is 01509 618770.
'Don't worry when the automated message tells you that the calls cost 10p per minute plus network charges; that's for the 0871 number - it doesn't know you used the geographical number instead.'
Hi if you order one first set it up then order the second your might get extra credit £3 I think......referring yourself...I think
