This is cheaper than any of the other deals though so deserves its own post.
and is it vertical only? i thought that tended to kill drives quicker

ouch indeed - voted cold
most people buy an external hdd to backup up their main data in the 1st place
It is feasible that your main HDD and External HDD canl go tit's up at the same time, but not to worry for £1400 you'll be laughing :whistling:
£71.99 actually as you can use the online voucher codes instore too;-)
As laptops get more popular, people are using these external drives as expanded storage, not specifically back up.
Ok so people can buy 2 of these and have them both back up but thats a bit ****
i'd take the freecom drives over these, £70 delivered from amazon
dont know why people think these seagate drives are specifically good, the design is poor and the price is no better than competitors. seagate make good bare drives but others make better external solutions
I've got one and had no problem with it at all, on 24/7. Saying that I wouldn't buy another one as they are bulky/clunky things and take up too much room, can't be stacked etc. Iomega all the way for me (£69.99 for 500GB in Staples).
