very tempted
They are a reasonable price for 2 decent size plug plants delivered, but I don't believe they were ever worth the original price of £13.98 delivered oO
If you have space on a windowsill you can grow them easily from seed ....and they grow really quickly too.
Seed can be bought on ebay for less than £1.50.
But as these plug plants go, if you don't have the set up for growing seeds they seem a reasonable deal, and lots of fun to grow :)

Well anyone who gets a voucher and does not want to use it I would appreciate it :)
I had a refund via Paypal today but have heard absolutely nothing from Suttons. I'm not really bothered about the voucher offer, but I do think it should have been a priority for them to inform Customers as quickly as possible. Unfortunately I have been at the wrong end of a number of misprices (one of the perils of using HUKD) and as yet none of the organisations concerned has handled them particularly well, but to receive no information at all 2 days after the order was placed is unforgivable.
Shame I missed out but got some free cash so not all bad.
Cancelled mine too, not interested in their goodwill gesture, have ended up paying £5.98 for a £0.99 packet of seeds I ordered alongside and which are now showing as despatched !
Marto1927
The problem with this price error, is that not only was the price wrong, the discount showed at 87% off as well. So there seems to be a catalogue of errors.

Not really, they will both be from the same piece of data. You wouldn't pay someone to manually calculate the percentage discount on every item.

not a bad offer. Tbh though you could probably do this for a lot less if you do the garden clearance at wilko etc seeds can be as little as 10p a pack.

That's true, but if like my local Wilkos (large seed trays 25p, packet of 20 veg seeds £1 etc.) you're going to have to spend a lot of time checking, I think last year I went to Wilkos 4 or 5 times during the sell off season, and they had different items on offer each time. If you live within short walking distance and can check regularly, Wilkos is the way to go otherwise, this seems a reasonable offer.

I've received the lavender but not huge 40 plants.
lavander came. happy mum
Got my lavender on Saturday.
I emailed them as I didn't receive my lavender plants and they told me I had used an out of date code and I will not receive, anyone else got that response, very disappointed as it was the lavender I really wanted, I ordered a few different seeds that have arrived and the lucky dip
....then again I guess it was a freebie but my lucky dip was nothing overly exciting either.

Are these all annuals?
Most of them. But Nicotina might come back from seeds and stock can last a few years. Antirrhinum can come back quite easily - Just tip the seeds onto the soil. I am speaking as someone from the south. Up north could be another story. Most are annuals.

For stupid people like myself, you have to ADD the lavender as well as just apply the code. ;)

For the record, I applied the code, it said it worked but did nothing. I added the lavender afterwards, and it worked (still came up with the same price but lavender added). :)

There are numerous more wildlife friendly ways to reduce the slug population.
Such as?Also when I've seen the remains of a slug that's eaten a pellet, it's basically a pool of goo. Nothing for a hedgehog or bird to 'pick up' as it were.

Another option could be to establist a wild-flower lawn (google Meadow Mat), these are much more beneficial to bees and insects than a lot of modern flowers. Or Look at http://beekind.bumblebeeconservation.org/finder to get an idea of what flowers (nectar/pollen rich) they prefer.I grew a load of these plugs last year to get my garden more colourful (previous owners just had overgrown shrubs everywhere).Best plan is to pot these into say 9cm pots/shuttle trays as soon as you get them, don't bother adding fertiliser, I did once and a lot died. Put them on a sunny windowsill/greenhouse while they're small, gradually acclimatise them to outdoors, then put them in their final positions when the risk of frost has gone.Use plenty of slug pellets and watch out for diseases and treat if necessary with bee-friendly sprays. Not all will survive, depends on conditions in your garden, but a good proportion will and it's a lot cheaper and more satisfying than buying bigger plants from garden centres. And less risky than growing from seed/bulbs.
