I've been using one for the past month. Very quick, well optimised. A good upgrade from a Huawei P8 if you're looking for a midrange phone. I think the price will continue to plummet though.
I would avoid this phone. the Sony Xperia XZ coming out in October is a far far superior phone. and is what the Xperia X should have been.
Why do you have such a stick up your a**e about Amazon?

So torn whether to get this... PS4 is my main console and I have a back cat to get through... There's only a few xbone games I'd wanna get...
In the past very has took the cash back off the bnpl if there's nothing else owed on the account...
If there's other stuff owed it'll just be credited to that...
Very tempting, would be more tempting if it was a Forza bundle tho...
May just hold off and hope they do it again soon. With different bundles... HOT from me

hang on its 250 then 200 after ya get the credit yeah. which means I still have to spend the 50 on very again anyway?
If it's credited to your account before you pay for it then no.
so ya pay monthly say then when u get credited like a month later u can use that against the Xbox ya already paying off. never used very before so no idea
Yes the credit just comes off the balance that you owe, assuming you haven't paid off the balance by that point of course, in which case it would go onto your account as credit instead to spend on something else

thank u

That one says can't be used with other offers but the £50 credit one doesn't say you can't use with any others so could be a 50/50 chance. My bad, sorry.

The £50 credit says that it can't be used with any other offer

No expert on graphics cards, but I am not sure why this is so hot. Specs seem a little poor for the price. Okay there is 100 off and having 2 drive bays is cool. But I think some of the MSI laptops would beat this for similar money. Would research more but I am writing on a smartphone.

I could only find this similar...

http://www.ebuyer.com/748760-msi-gl62-6qd-gaming-laptop-9s7-16j612-409?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51508044419&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=Cj0KEQjwpZO_BRDym6K_nMye7cEBEiQAVA7RaLXYYHOz62mOihCetLdXlXnKXL0FXO1uxjSED1iycJ4aAjTq8P8HAQ

50 more with a better CPU but no SSD. Depends what your after I guess, I would prefer an SSD as it makes even my i3u fly through everything. There will probably be similar deals but I was struggling to find one with a SSD and HDD that could run gta5 standard games at this price. Always seems to be a compromise, good SSD but hardly any space so would fill up too quick or a big HDD that would perform slow on a Intel u series chip

I was thinking of the MSI stuff at saveonlaptops, but you are probably right. I bought an i7 there, same spec as this deal but no SSD. £699, but that was back in 2014...
mojo5110
Seems like a good deal i'm holding on my current laptop for a while yet.
Just wanted to say that laptop HDD are 2.5" drives so you can literally just swap the HDD for an SSD without any adapters or whatever.
So if you see a good laptop etc i7 or 960m+ for similar price but no SSD which is usually more expensive to buy. You can just that then upgrade later or just swap out the HDD. I would personally do a clean install of Windows so much bloatware and other stuff you might not know is installed.
I have swapped out the DVD Drive for a SSD so I have the 500GB for backups and the 250GB for the OS and other programs I use.
Obviously you would have to check if you are able to upgrade the laptop without effecting warrenty etc but I turned my pretty low spec laptop into a speedy low spec laptop :)
Only reason I would get a new laptop or tablet is if its light eg 1.5kg and has the USB C or Usb 3/Thunderbolt.
Yeah I was tempted to do that on the other deal but SSD drives are so expensive if you want good space. A 128gb omly leaves about 80gb after windows I think, fills up so fast. Especially if your paying the extra to get a graphics card that could possibly run games like gta5. Still a good option though

a fool and his money.....
Find me a laptop with a higher graphics card and two drives for 550 please
Not higher d-gpu, but definitely better value for money at £500:https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mi.com%2Fmibookair%2Fspecs%2F&sandbox=1
What?!
First of all, the vaguely equivalent laptop comes out more expensive at £574.93. That's before import fees and delivery to the UK.
Secondly, even if it was cheaper (it's going to work out SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive if you get stung by customs, which I'd bet you will), I'd caution people to know what they are buying into spending £550+ on a product from China. If you need to RMA the laptop, you will, even with the best will in the world, run into issues, even if just from a logistical perspective, and even from someone like Xiaomi, who do seem to make fair quality products.
I agree, I just thought it's a good idea to evaluate our deal here, if they can make a better quality/ultra portable/good spec laptop over there commercially available, could be a fair guidance to anyone who might upgrade in near future here.

I do think the laptops they (Xiaomi) are producing are interesting, and as you say, it's always good to explore options!

I think they're probably aiming more at the Macbook air & ultrabook crowd though. When you look at them from that perspective they start to look a bit more appealing.

I'm not sure it troubles the mid end portable gaming market too much though (sadly!).

Additionally - I have a macbook 15 with gfx card in it, and good god does it get hot. Just something for anyone wanting to buy into a unibody metal framed laptop with minimal fan cooling to consider. It gets hot enough that you can't touch certain parts of the laptop for more than a few seconds without pain. I kid you not.

my partners Mac book air makes a right noise from the fan when I try and play cities skylines on it even in low settings !!! don't think ultra thin is best for any type of gaming yet...

This was amazing for us. Our LO loved this, but all babies are different. It's also rarely discounted.

Tip: It's worth asking staff if there's a new model sure out. We did this in Mothercare and got the display model of the old model for £70.
My eldest didn't sleep through the night til he was in reception in school. My second is is nearly 4 still doesn't sleep through the night! My third....No more thanks!
have you tried a sleepyhead or poddle pod apparently work wonders on non sleepers!!
R1992
Won't let me put her down.. I dunno whether to laugh or cry!

it will improve my 3rd baby was the same. So clingy. She slept fine on hospital then any time she lay down she freaked. I had a very expensive pram for her to scream in. I felt awful and never left the house! try putting something of urs in Wi baby. tshirt or something. Def swaddle. Sending hugs. It's horrible (btw she's now almost 7 months and sitting here shouting at me! ) xx
The idea is great, it's just that babies, in my experience, prefer to co-sleep. I think it has something to do with smell and body heat.

Aesrok, it stated on the BNP terms that you only pay interest on BNP if you don't settle before the 12 months is up...I am surprised you went for this if you feel so unsure of the process
It won't be an issue if you pay next month...or even next sep! :)

I'm not unsure of the process, it "should" be straightforward, pay off the balance before the interest free period ends and I'm good, generally speaking this is how it works.

I am unsure of dealing with Very.co.uk, going from what I've read, they have the ability to f**k up even the simplest tasks.

That said, now that the order has been processed, there is a clear option on their website to pay off the BNPL balance (as opposed to just making a payment towards your balance), which wasn't there as an option previously. Which addresses my query regarding the operation of their site.

Edited By: Aesrock on Sep 23, 2016 14:58
Bought it Wednesday night. Delivery via royal mail around 9:30 today.
Ordered one of these for my wife a few weeks ago (though the price was about 50 quid more expensive then!). Still waiting for the £100 credit to be applied to the account (well, earlier this week when I last checked), though at the time it was stated that this would be applied by 1st October so we're still within the time frame. I've got screenshots of the offer on the web site when I ordered in case they try to play silly ****.

Not used it myself, but looks like a nice laptop to me.
Did you order on Thursday ? Delivery by Royal Mail ?

How LG uses fuzzy math to label some of its LCD TVs as 4K

By replacing every fourth red, green, or blue subpixel with a white one, LG boosts the brightness of its 6100-, 6500-, and 6800-series models. The trick works, but it sacrifices resolution.

Can someone explain this to me. People on this site keep saying these LG tvs are not proper HDR10, but on the LG website it clearly states that HDR10 is called HDR Pro by them. Read it yourself. http://www.lg.com/us/experience-tvs/hdr/4k-hdr So what is it then? Is this a true HDR 4k TV or not?
I understand that this TV supports HDR10 in that it can process the 10 bit signal however it is only an 8 bit panel so you will not get the full benefit of HDR10 (you would need a 10 bit panel for that). I am by no means an expert however so someone with more knowledge on the topic may be able to elaborate.
your pretty much right!

Deal is possibly not getting hot as you can pay £15 more and get a custom 1070 from Amazon without the hassle of a credit check or waiting for the £100 credit to be applied by Very.

I use them a fair bit when they have offers on that allow you to take the product to normal market value. If you make sure you pay them off within the twelve months so you don't get charged any interest it's ok, it's just those who don't do so who suffer.
Sorry you won't be able to use both the £100 cashback and the £30 off see terms-

Check the cpu paired with the card on the YouTube vid. The card is perfectly fine at 1080p on middling settings, but many new games won't play nice with cpus that can only process two threads at a time (like the pentium in this deal).

thats what I'm thinking, despite how cold this has got I still think it looks decent for the price? at this price you wouldn't expect it to be able to do vr or anything but looks like it handles well. suppose the only worry is how easy it would be to upgrade the CPU eventually and if it has space for an SSD, can't really see much info

I think most people building their own gaming rig, if they can stretch their budget a little, would spend the extra £40 for an i3 6100 with hyper threading for smoother game play in some games. If not building your own, I would look for something that has an i3 6100 or else perhaps consider upgrading the CPU at a later date.
Okay card but, that little baby cpu? No.
It's good for the price. You should be able to play almost any game on low to high depending on the age. But expect to have difficulty when upgrading, I'd imagine the power supply and motherboard will be crap and cheap, making upgrading more difficult. Using pcpartpicker I was able to choose a build which has the same specs, but better quality components which will last longer and will be easy to upgrade. It's £410 but doesn't include Windows or a keyboard - but then you can get windows for a tenner on the grey market. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/y3LZJV
