Anyone seen an extra long barge pole on sale?
Don't get me wrong, have used them for calendars for the last two years and the quality has always been OK.

Just dislike the add ons, shipping is always more than I expect for a two week service, and they feel the need to add their name to the back of every page.
I agree with the comment above, and at the end they then add the VAT and postage costs. Having said that, I have always had good, fast service from them, so would recommend.

Vista print!
The offer was 3 colander for £11 however when you got to check out postage was £9, so I rang them on the 0800 no. And told them that the postage was ridiculous, she then asked me to log into my account and she applied free economy delivery!
I used vista print a few times, they always seem to have a good deal but there's always a catch, but I've found if you ring them they'll always give you a further discount to get the business!

You can usually find a discount code at any time of the year to get something at 50% off.... so not that hot.

You could say that about every sale ... who needs HUKD, eh? Not that useful :)

What I should have said is that Vistaprint has a 50% off sale almost 365 days a year :) You just have to find the right code or link.
hot hot hot thanks

What's so sad is their feeble attempts to be generous:

"Free cardholder" - sad tin thing holds 8 cards -

"NO THANKS, but a few more cards for the price would be great. - save the tin for a stray steelbook collector"

There is 25% quidco at the moment, but doesn't seem to be any other offers
Anyone seen any offers with Vistaprint cheaper than £7.99? I've never paid more than about £4 previous years.
i have used them for the last 2 or 3 years to get calenders for xmas pressies for grannies and great grannies and have always used the 5 for the price of 1 deal which has been amazing and quality great. can't find anything like that this year which is a pain cos they have all been asking for them again and now i'm looking at having to pay out about £40 :( don't want to leave it too late though, xmas is less than 5 weeks away now!!!
i apologise you are correct i had to delete my history to see the offer.... for some reason i still had the old prices when viewing the site sorry... now i can do my order thanks :)
Still £7.99 and free 14 day delivery.....desk calenders are £2.49. Not as good at the Free/99p offers years gone by, but seems to be the best deal at them moment ;)

I agree. They may not be the best but they are amazing for THIS PRICE! Don't need them, don't want them, but thats irrelevant. Unless you can tell us where you can get this many cheaper don't vote cold! Hot!
im in the print business myself

and can honestly say vista print is nonsense.

poor digital print quality. low paper stock, limited options for design, poor template designs with fact you must pay for extras which are basic requirements, and fact that a respectable delivery time costs.

stay well away from there.
Can your company deliver 250 cards for less than £4 ?
The cards are good value for someone who is starting a small business and can't afford to outlay for expensive printing.

to produce the cards vista prints 2.50 service offer, costs appx 30-40p in house as they are very basic.

if you were to do a search for eg ebay, 250 business cards with 350gsm double sides gloss can cost appx 15 pounds. and look a lot more professional. in my opinion dave is correct. this is your business and first impression is always the last impression, so spending that little extra is always important.
I used to use the US vistaprint - always found them incredibly good quality, well printed, very reliable. I used to use the longest delivery method to keep costs low, so it took a long time to arrive but the advantage was cost.

That's the good side of them.

The downside - you get bombarded with spam, so it's worth using an account you don't mind about so much, or set one up. You get endless deals offering more deals and it's a pain, especially their "sorry our site was down so here' xyz"

The other main downside as mentioned above is that free isn';t free -- there's Vat, postage, packing, heaven, only, knows, what, else. I've had free calenders that cost a tenner? Maybe more. But they're good quality.

So take or leave it --- but it's still a darn sight cheaper than most printers, and still good quality. I just wish they'd be a bit more honest: I hate non free freebies.
They're also very handy to give to people who ask for your address, rather than having to scrabble around for a pen and piece of paper. I bought some a few years ago and still use them as I always keep some in my bag in the little metal case they provide. As you actually design them yourself you only have yourself to blame if you don't like the design or layout. I can't remember exactly how much I paid including postage but to me it was well worth it. The only problem was that for ages I kept getting spam from them but it eventually stopped.

Edited By: Turquoise on Sep 07, 2013 00:19
This is a deal NOT a freebie. Where ANY money has to be handed over it ceases to be a freebie - even if it is just the postage or a stamp. Why is that so hard to understand?

I've had the cards before and they were pretty good :) (they were 'free' in fairness - just had to pay postage) Also done invitations and personalised calendars where you just had to pay postage (they used to send emails for free items..) Seems they have stopped this now though - dont' seem to get any offers by email for freebies anymore :(

VISTAPRINT! Run away!!!!!!!!!!
P+P from VistaPrint usually costs just under £5 for the slowest delivery, plus extra surcharges like more interesting designs and image upload fees. You'll go in for a free t-shirt, coming out having paid £8 for a poor quality shirt that you'll likely never wear.
Nothing is ever free from vistaprint, add on upload fees and delivery charges to the "free t-shirt" and the price is a lot more than free.

I'm happy with vistaprint, too - but £4.70 for a mug isn't particularly exciting, is it?

Edited By: Quadrille on Apr 30, 2013 13:54
I use Vistaprint quite regularly and have always been very happy with them, and don't get marketing emails. Maybe i've just been lucky, or may be I ticked a box or something, but the only emails I have received are regarding order or despatch.
I ordered a photo mug just before Christmas and was delighted with it - the mug and a matching t-shirt only cost me a total of £8-something including postage. highly recommended but wait for a special offer like that - I got a flyer in a magazine.
anyone who thinks they are getting a free mug for £4.70 postage is a mug.
no they still send 900 emails a day
