Anyone managed to get anything? The tablet for £1? Impossible Im guessing.
I call BS. I did it earlier, waited as clock counted down. clicked buy as soon as reached zero and website crashed.
This is vmall. Not a scam but only one product at each time so nigh on impossible.

It's usually every 3 hours. Has been on all day but either the clocks gone wrong or they are off for the weekend.

Will go very cold.

One of each item. Will go to the same people who programme bots to buy up concert tickets as soon as they're really released.

Well my Blue H8 arrived yesterday.

First impressions:

- Beautifully made, the glass back is as stunning as is talked about
- It really is super slippy; I bought one of the official PC cases and it is not making any difference
- The fingerprint sensor is blazingly fast
- Screen is lovely (in comparison to my Nexus 4) and the phone does zip along without any issues
- It is taking me a little while to get used to the EMUI, but there are some nice touches (still prefer stock android) that make it interesting
- Battery life is nagging a little. It had about 50% charge and while it was used heavily all evening I was noticing the percentage drop quicker than I had expected. Need to get my head around the battery manager.
- I've uninstalled or disabled most of the 3rd party apps. Once I am 100% happy with the phone I'll follow more of the Paul O'Brien 'how to' guide: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/377633-guide-how-to-make-your-honor-8-more-like-stock-android/

Hope this helps someone - all in all, a lovely phone and mega bargain purchase if you got it at £270 like I did!

Nearly posted this too as a search for Huawei Honor 8 doesn't show it. It is a good deal if they have more stock to sell tomorrow.

This or BB Priv for same price mmmmmm :|

Priv is 2K AMOLED screen, slightly bigger screen, has more MP in the camera, has a physical keyboard, slightly bigger battery, closer to stock-Android experience

Honor 8 has a slightly better processor, more RAM, came out in 2016

Both run Android 6, expandable storage, both batteries are non removable

Take your pick.

For what its worth I'm considering both devices too, not a Blackberry fanboy.

I was too, but decided for the Honor 8. It's never so more likely to be supported longer (that said the priv is kept updated very well) honor/Huawei are doing much better with updates recently. The priv is more flimsy due to the nature of the sliding keyboard (but I do like the keyboard) and has a plastic cover for the rear camera, so very scratch prone. Battery life in the priv is quite average I've heard, the Honor 8 is pretty good.

That said, the prove was £400 when I looked, I would have probably gone for the priv for £300.

Just wish I had bought the P9 when it was available for under £280 but stupidly I waited for the launch of Honor 8.

Ticked all the feature boxes for me...
What were those may I know?
SD slot, fingerprint scanner, 1080P, 4GB RAM, gorilla glass, 5+ inch, type-c USB, octo-core, android N and dual-band WiFi.
Bear in mind that the USB-C is still only USB2 compliant so no super high speed data transfer. A bit odd if you ask me...
Its more for the reversible connector and the fast charging but I agree
I concur, although the latter can be achieved with microusb (Galaxy S6/7)) anyway but I do believe that USB-C is the future, just wish OEMs would implement it properly!
I'm hoping that Honor will drop the price to match the OP3; there's not a lot between the two justify a rather large mark up.
Personally I feel it should be £300, the OP3 is slightly better on paper. Just wish I had bought the P9 when it was available for under £280 but stupidly I waited for the launch of Honor 8.
Actually, it's worth waiting to see what the new Nexus brings and prices are only going to go down...

Thanks for coming back. I had read other reviews that said the buttons are a bit 'tenuous' and so long as the sound is good enough for a conversation, I will be happy enough. The plan is to replace my Moto G2 and I am looking forward to having a faster phone with a bit more onboard storage.
Sorry for the late reply !
Phone is excellent ! massive difference over my old Moto G, nice smooth internet, works as it should !
Couple of bad points, The speaker volume on videos doesn't seem very loud and the feel of the buttons are a bit cheap.
Overall excellent phone

Hi,
How is the phone and hows the bundle
The phone is good. Very similar to the Elephone P8000.
The bundle came half complete so I contacted them to complete the bundle. Bundle on second look is very cheap. Not worth the asking price. If it was £50 cheaper then its worth the price.

Had a number of phones recently. G3, nexus 6, z3 and a g4. Each time I go back to the honor 7. A very slick phone. Fast brilliant screen. Only downside is I have still not found a good case and you can't have dual sim with memory card unless you hack a sim. Apart from that the good battery and quick interface when you have added another launcher more than makes up for it.
i'm thinking of getting this are you able to check if zen ui launcher works with it, i dont think it will as didnt work wiht p8 lite but worth asking.

is this much better than the honor 5x? I can find both second hand locally
honor 7 is £30 more phone and charger only, the honor 5x comes with box and accessories.
not sure which to go for.

Would probably need to go the China direct route and, of course, that isn't for everybody what with the inherent risks associated with such a move. But Xiaomi in particular produce phones with comparable/better spec than the Honor 7 for quite a bit less outlay.
I have the Xiaomi mi4c and regret buying it. Xiaomi force you to use their inferior apps instead of the ones you want to use. They are a real disappointment acting like apple do. If I wanted to be treated so badly I would have bought an iPhone.
Do they??
Of course they don't. I had a Mi4c, until it was stolen recently.
Firstly, you can install any apps you like and use them instead of Xiaomi's versions.
Secondly, you can install custom launchers if you don't like the MIUI skin.
Thirdly, you can just use a different ROM like Cyanogenmod if you really hate MIUI.
I was really impressed by the build quality and overall design. My Redmi Note 3 Pro should be delivered tomorrow! :3

I am wondering if you actually tried running a launcher on your Xiaomi phone. Custom launchers do not work properly on my Mi4c. I tried Nova and Apex launchers but the dialing pad does not work when the launchers are running. This is done by Xiaomi as I get a message saying "permission denied". This is just an example. There are many examples of these kind of restrictions on this phone.

As for ROMs, I never needed to install ROMs on my previous phone, a Nexus 4, and i didn't buy a phone to mess about with ROMs. Most people don't have to install ROMs to get their phone to work properly. Why do i have to? It's a load of rubbish expecting people to do that.

Malware and adware is also present on my phone. Never had a problem with other Chinese devices I've bought from China but always the complaints on the internet are about Xiaomi.

I had high hopes for this company but I will make a prediction that they will never be big in Europe or America. They can stay in China where expectations are lower.

loved my Nexus 4 because it had miui rom port, each to there own..

Yes, they do.
Are you sure??

In certain circumstances, yes I am sure. Try using a different dialing pad app for example. You can use one but Xiaomi harass you with messages every time you try calling someone. No such messages come up when you use their own dialing app. That's just one example of Xiaomi being idiots. There are many other examples.

Was Henry Cavill's auto-cue performance as cringe worthy as it looks on the video :P
Even with the enhancements over the P8 (which I own), I think this price is far too much - £350 would be fair for now I reckon.

But I did get the P8 for £150 couple of months ago, & with the spate of other excellent-value Chinese phones being posted lately, admittedly I am basing the £350 price-tag on these factors.

Is the camera really as good as its hyped by huawei? How does it compare to say the iPhone 6s? Cheers

I LOVE the camera. No OIS is a shame but then there's no bump and it's super thin. Monochrome mode is ace too.

I don't think this deal is correct. it's either with VR glasses at £229 OR £40 of honor 7 on its own using code #HonorEasterHunt7UK to get it for £209 instead of £249. it doesn't look as though you can have both deals.

Some very nice tech for some very competitive prices there. Have some heat!
Thanks, I am tempted by the Honor 7 but I'm still not sure I want give up my xperia z2 just yet though!
Why would you make such a downgrade from a top of the range smartphone from 2014 to a low end offer?
Quite simply, because I want a new phone.

Ordered the Honor 5X in Grey. The price reduced automatically down to £169.99 just before 9.30 and It also let me use the code bringing it down to £149.99. I also got the vr glasses which I wasn't expecting. It arrived this morning. I have noticed a slight lag that other people have mentioned, but that doesn't bother me, I'll install a different launcher and hopefully someone will release a custom rom soon. I'm well chuffed. Thanks Op.

Just got the Honor7 deal for £169 including the 3d glasses and a gameloft voucher (emailed to me after purchase) for Dungeon Hunter 5 and Gang Star (I don't do mobile gaming, so have no idea of their value!) once the 'flash sale' started this morning. Thanks for posting cornishdir, I think that this might be an even better deal than originally thought!
I've got the same deal. However they sent an email saying "in stock" but now when I track my order its "awaiting stock". I don't mind a small wait for the phone at £169.99 but I did order the game with £80 of gameloft vouchers, looking like that was changed to the VR headset. Just have to wait and see what happens.
Just had word from the courier that it's being delivered today so fingers crossed for your order too!

I've not had anything since 10.30am yesterday. Time stamp on the order in my account was 10.15am. If you ordered after me and your getting it I'll cry! lol

I added the Honor 7 (£209) and the case to my basket and then added the code to get a £40 discount and all went well until I tried to pay and the transaction was rejected because of a payment mismatch. I went back to check for stock and noticed the Honor 7 silver in the deal was back up to £250. Flash sale kicked off at 9am and I tried to buy just after 10am. When they said flash sale they really meant it!

Honor 7/5X is back with Valentine's deal £249.00 with freebies @ Huawei honor store

Those who missed the last offer of Honor 7/5X, this also seems to be a good deal. - It has below offers if you buy for 249, so not a bad deal. They’re giving away Gameloft vouchers (2 x £39.99) and…

The 5X is a cracking midrange phone, was using one last night. Quality and feel beats the moto g.
Old Man
Use code HONORGB16 for £40 off order.

That only applies to the Honor 7 not the 5x

£195 for the honor 7 & the speaker is £20 on gearbest, so it seems OK if you want a £20 bluetooth speaker

I think I'll wait, these are not fully featured phones - the 5x doesn't even have 5ghz wifi!
anyone know where there is a good deal like this for the Honor 7 with 64GB instead of this one that only has 16GB?

reason - the 64GB has NFC and the 16GB does not
Use code HONORGB16 for £40 off order.
now its saying £234.99

plus -

On February 11th from 10:30am receive a free AM08 and View Flip Cover with your order and a £80 Gameloft voucher!

hey guys. I have a HTC M7 that was my first and only android phone. I came from iPhone and loved android instantly. I know it's an old phone now but just wondering how these Chinese phone would compare to it in regards to performance?. I only use my current phone for surfing, YouTube, and a couple of games but nothing to demanding (eg - clash of clans). your advice and knowledge would be greatly appreciated for making a decision on whether to buy one of these next.
I think the m7 is more powerful, but this should be fine for light use.I recently overloaded my smart ultra 6 with too many apps running in the background, using resources, which made the phone sluggish. Btw the smart ultra 6 has basically the same specs as the huawei 5x i.e. same amount of ram, cpu/gpu, screen resolution. Right now I have these apps running in the background all of the time: netguard, calls blacklist, perfect applock, lastpass, here maps, weq4u, pocket, chrome plus some android system stuff. It performs well and I disabled the things I don't use ie google+, hangouts, maps, google app, email, gmail. So I think it depends how much stuff you are planning to run in the background. I don't know how light or efficient the huawei software is. The software on the smart ultra 6 is almost stock ie light weight. The huawei is probably fine just the way it comes for light use but don't expect the performance to be good if you later add a bunch of stuff that runs in the background. I used to have security software running in the background too but it made my phone too sluggish. Just my 2 cents.

Seems like a reasonable phone for £210. Huawei, the parent companies equivalent phone is the P8 and is £370. Honor phones are cheaper just now but will probably start bumping up their prices once they are more well known in the market. A lot of the phones of similar spec for this price are 2014 models.

this or the moto x 2014? I know the moto is a bit cheaper, but is this worth the extra money? also any opinions on which has the better camera?

I don't know about camera comparisons, though the Honor 7 camera seems pretty good at least. I was in the store the other day and held both phones side by side, there didn't seem to be much between the phones but the Honor 7 definitely feels more premium to hold. The Moto X felt a little .. childish, and the screen felt smaller despite having the same size screen.

Stats wise the Honor 7 has a higher megapixel camera and slightly slower processor performance - but I couldn't tell the difference after a brief play. The Honor 7 is definitely a big upgrade on the HTC One m7 I was using previously, I was expecting the sound quality to be much worse (I listen to a lot of music) but I couldn't tell the difference (though I didn't do side by side comparison cause I broke my m7). The Honor 7 also has RAPID charging, a higher capacity battery, and expandable memory - the Moto X has 32 gb non-expandable, while the Honor 7 has 16 gb but an SD card slot. Not that I care, I don't use many apps or store music as I use Spotify. The fingerprint scanner sounds like a stupid gimmick when you first hear about it ... actually pretty good!

The software on the Honor 7 has been heavily criticized, but it doesn't really bother me. I'm used to rooting my android phones and putting on new ROMS/firmware, and completely customizing the phone UI .. and while I would rather have that option on my Honor 7 (there aren't currently any custom ROMs, and its not looking like there will be) the UI isn't so bad as to bother me that much. It feels like a chinese knock-off iOS effectively, but its OK.

Overall I would say the Honor 7 is the better phone but there isn't a lot in it, if you can get the Moto X super cheap then go for it. I think £200 is fair for this phone. If you consider its by the same people who built the Nexus 6P but is less than half the price, while still being a very good phone in its own right, then its quite reasonable.

(Sorry for the long comment, the coffee just kicked in)

This is my current phone. Very pleased but IMO this is over priced, £169 would be fairer.
Got mine yesterday from Amazon. Was £199 warehouse deal - damaged box (couldn't even tell) but mint phone. It seems pretty good. Gets slammed for the software but I don't think its bad, and i've been using Android phones for 7 years. Very quick, nice screen and image, decent camera, VERY fast charge .. but battery life length isn't great.

If you want to save a tenner they have more in the warehouse deal but they have 'light scratches less than 0.6 cm long', could always get one to check out then send it back if its too damaged as I tend to find Amazon warehouse deals are always rated more damaged than they actually are.
