Comparing this to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01875PT46?psc=1 which one is better, im planning on using it for my phone

that one looks pretty horrible tbh
the one from wex is more expensive and youd need to spend more on it to get the equivalent such as on bags, shutter remote and phone adaptor so even more expensive... but looks much better

Can I use this for mobile phones? I have Iphone Plus how would I use it?
Not directly as a phone has no screw thread. There may be an adaptor somewhere online though.

Seems they've since removed the bag. Maybe they dropped the price and forgot to remove the bag? It's a shame as it's quite a nice bag. Amazon recently matched WEX price without the extra warranty and sold out instantly.
Typically sells for around £800 for a used model, so a 12.5% premium for a new model with an extra year's warranty seems very reasonable to me. Can't see the free bag listed though?

Rain cover? Just get a Tesco/Asda/Sainsburys Bag-for-Life, cut a hole the size of a screw-in UV filter and tape in place.

How good is the rain cover? Ive bought water proof coats for the kids cheap and brought home drenched rata X)

Probably the same as you'd get with a rucksack rain cover. Better than not having one ;)

Nice bag but it's not really a 'deal' is it - RRP clearly inflated and WEX aren't claiming it's a reduction, even under our very loose consumer laws.

Cheapest elsewhere seems to be around £70.

There's 5% Quidco also.

It's the cheapest around at the moment, not seen it cheaper either. Think the next is £60 and then you're around the £70 mark.

I am kindly suggesting the latest cameras of fuji. Do not invest in these terribly performing full frame cameras (A7,A7ii, any nikon or canon released before 2014).

formula is so simple, look at the characteristics of in-house lenses(sharpness and bokeh) and their price tags.

Fuji is releasing the best cameras(aps-c). So, xt20 and xt2 are absolutely outstanding. Apart from fuji, sony introduced to a6500. This camera is also performing well with sigma 18 35 f1.8. However, you will get quite limited due to bad native lenses (zeiss, sony).

All those apsc based cameras are away better than many full frame cameras.. Fuji lenses are definitely beast. If you really wanna outstanding camera with high price tag, i will suggest Fuji again (gfx50).

Just watch this to see real world.. fuji xt2 vs a7r2

https://youtu.be/VwRRioxMfw0

do not forget you will be looking for lenses after buying any camera.

You cannot suggest as an alternative to a full frame camera, one with a smaller format sensor. If someone decides to go ff, its for the obvious reason, the need for the bigger sensor.

Imho, if someone wants to progress to the next level, sooner or later, have to consider upgrading to full frame, some results cannot be reproduced with a smaller sensor...about fuji, I bought one, couple of years ago, and still got it, but honestly I don't understand all that hype...

trust me, i compared my fuji xt20 with a7ii in terms of IQ.
I really shocked as the Fuji absolutely beat. Sharpness, colour by fuji are amazing.

Image quality will depend to a large extent to the lens used, but would be very surprised if the Fuji raw files have the same potential as those from the Sony.

Any suggestions on alternatives then?
If you can afford it, get a Manfrotto Befree. About twice the price, but unless you will be using a huge camera, it'll last a lifetime.

Anyone know if this is a good camera, iv never owned a camera always just used my phone lol, need one for my daughters birthday, was wondering is this Any good, also silly question but can you record a video as well as pictures lol thank you in advance, sorry for the lame question, x
This is a separate flashgun for the camera in the picture, not the camera itself!
What is your budget for the camera for your daughter?
It's her first birthday so I wanted something that will give me good photosz and long lasting my budgets around £200, x
The Fuji X-A2 linked to above is an awesome choice, it will give you DSLR quality images in a much smaller package. Even if you just leave it in Auto mode the results will be far better than any point & shoot, and you have lots of cool simulated film modes you can play with too :)
I would personally not consider the Pentax Q options suggested previously, they're beaically compact cameras with detachable lenses. Not worth stretch your budget for really!
Thank you, sounds fab, just one last silly question lol wanted to know does this make videos too or just pictures haha I must sound like a right thicko asking that but thanks in advance x

You are right...apparently, just find out, that when Sony says 1" sensor, means 13.20mm...how this makes sense, I don't know..!

It's due to an entirely obsolete method of measuring sensors based on video tubes, the important thing to bear in mind is simply the differences between the sensors - a 1in sensor is around a stop smaller than a 4/3 sensor, another stop difference between 4/3 and APS-C and another stop between APS-C and full frame. Getting a 1in sensor size into a body this small with a decent lens would be near impossible, the closest camera in that regard is the RX1 which is a compact camera using a Sony FF sensor although it's bigger than the RX100 and has a fixed 35mm F2 prime lens. More information on sensor sizes here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_sensor_format#Table_of_sensor_formats_and_sizes

In terms of the RX100 vs a micro 4/3 camera, it depends on what you want to do with it. I bought the RX100 purely as a pocket camera which I find it superb for, it offers just the right balance of size and image quality. I'd previously used a Panasonic micro 4/3 camera but even with a prime or pancake zoom I just found it too bulky to keep in a jacket pocket.

Thanks for the info, really helpful...90% of my photography is travelling/backpacking so size and weight are important for me too...

Just recently upgrade from an eos m to m3 which is perfect for me as I can fit it in a small waist bag or my jacket pocket when I'm in travel mode...just came back from a 10 day trip, and realise that most of my images would have look a lot better if they had the more depth a fast lens can give than the standard kit zoom. I had a second body with me, a xt10, with couple fast mf primes that took some good photos, but its pain swapping primes all the time and is a lot bulkier than the m3.

For a moment I thought that the rx100 can combine narrow dof in small size...

Could you see Saturn's rings with these or are they to small?

Unfortunately you can't. Iv got optricons that are 8x21 and you can make out that there's shape but it's not the same. 10x50 are better for that or 15x70. Telescope house sells some nice cheap 15x70 or even first light optics.

No, but if you bend over far enough, you can see Uranus.
Cheers op, I've been after an OK smaller pair of binoculars for a while.

Triads
Are these any good op, genuine question. Was looking for a good pair of binoulars.
As far as I can tell, they are similar to the 8x21 Pentax Jupiter but as the name suggests have the same magnification - 8x but 1mm extra lens size which should in turn let in more light. The reviews for the 8x21 are good and the original RRP for these was £49 vs the RRP for the 8x22 at £69, so based on this hopefully they will be good.

Great find OP! Pretty sure wife wouldn't notice if my 7D turned into a 5D...
you might be more upset to have to replace all your lenses though.. (assuming you're efs at the mo of course)
Presumably the 5d mii can do crop mode with crop lenses.

no, canon efs or efm lenses will not mount, physically, on a full frame camera.
third party lenses will, but you will get heavy vignette and have to crop manually.

Ordered, thank you.
I have this model. It might be listed as red but really is red and black.

It is not featherweight but folds down into a 30cm length in a strong bag. It is my first choice tripod and with my 7D II and Sigma 150-600 sport very stable.

Good price.
Nice price (dodgy colour).
Yes, comes with a ball head, which looks fixed but can apparently be removed.
Can anyone recommend a fluid head for video that would pair with this?

WEX do a credit check even if you pay by debit card and the footprint stays on your credit file for a year.
Why would they do a check if you are paying in full? That's not good at all
Was going to go for this but couldn't see the point :p
Best dealer I have ever dealt with, their customer service is outstanding. Better than Amazon and much better than John Lewis.

I dont buy camera bags cos they stand out a mile if a thief wants to steal something of value, also i think they are costly compared to army bags you can get from a well known American website ( and they last a lot longer and can be used to carry your shopping, gym gear etc). My first army bag was a german army mountaineering rucksack with no zips on it . Zips cause rucksacks to split on the zip stiching when they are full. You dont have that problem with the German rucksack, they have a drawcord to tighten the top of the rucksack. My first one lasted 2years, the inside filling of one of the back shoulder straps have worn out. As soon as i get round to putting some filling material in the strap i will sew it up and start using it again. In the meantime i have bort a new one this time its black not olive in canvass material with a waterproof exterior base. For £18 its good value, I put my camera with bubblewrap and a selection of lens in this bag and i am good to go. I also have a small rectangular US army bag with a shoulder strap and 2 outside pockets with flaps. The bag is made of canvas and i waterproof it with a spray from *oundland, It is good value for under £10

Different bag. Different build quality. If you're looking for the Thule then this is a good price.
any proof of this?

I currently have a nex 6 with the 50-200 and 16-50 lens, would this be much of an upgrade?
micro 4/3rd has more lenses.. but look at what ones youd actually want and compare reviews/prices
there is alot of cross over between pana/olympus and plenty of pricy lenses there too

Don't forget fuji. The x series cameras are amazing. I have a fuji XT10 which I love.

Yes read good reviews about the Fuji, not sure what to opt for at the mo.

This is a great lens and is very useful as it gets very close to the 59mm standard lens on the old film SLRs (48mm).

I got this from WEX when they price matched other sellers. Getting superb results on my EOS 750D and the f/1.4 is bright enough for evening 'street' shots. Bargain at £224. I think my Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 will be a reserve lens.

The £75 cashback was only on purchases up to and including 31 January 2016 so if you have bought from Sigma Uk sourced retailers you have till 1 March 2016 to claim.

My X-M1 kit cost me 150 quid so I'm not really comparing like with like price wise, although the sensor and image quality are exactly the same on both cameras.
I've used an e2 for a weekend and it's a nice camera, not too keen on the 'Fuji' colour replication for landscape photography either, it's a decent portrait camera though...
AF isn't much use for moving subjects either.
I wouldn't pay 550 for it... I also think the Fuji lenses are massively overpriced.
Just my opinion.
Just checked a couple of Fuji lens prices they seem reasonably priced compared to others: -
Fuji 10-24 f4 = £679, Nikon = £834 Sony = £993
Fuji 24-70 f2.8 = £698, Nikon £1189, Sony (f4 only ) = £757.
The new firmware update should make significant improvements to the AF speed but not sure that any mirrorless will come close to a D-SLR in this respect.

Tbf the Fujinon XF lenses are spectacularly good... I'm thinking about getting another 10-24.
