Given the currently high prices of external hard drives this seems a good deal - currently 165.71 at Amazon. I bought one today from the Lincoln branch where they had about 10 on display.
POS number is 679925 , model WDBAAF0015H, so you should be able to check easily enough.

Instore only - not showing on their web site.
Thanks, didn't read it properly. :-p
Yes it does - you have to hold it in for a while for it to action (like computer power supply in that respect).
Just powered up and firmware updated from 2.03 to 2.18, then disabled the VCD software on it. Seems to be nice and quiet and the visual indication of space used is a plus.
Looking at the Dixons thread for the 1TB drive it's also showing on their site for 69.99 (Edit - but now showing as out of stock there)

Its a WD15EADS inside (just ran HDDScan).

It could be used for Mac and PC backups if reformatted to Fat32 (along with its associated 4Gig file size limitation).
yes but you will have to create separate partions one formatted fat32 the other which ever apple uses
Ermmm.. They are £99 for the 1.5tb in my local as I said in an earlier post... I even asked the guy behind the counter to do a price check and he confirmed it at £99
Was that for the Usb 3.0 version? Here's the reciept I had yesterday:
Edit: Just been checking online and looks like a discontinued item - if you google comet and 679925 you can check the info in the cache

Managed to get 2 for only £110.
Haggle the price down.
You think you missed it? Its instore only.
Local store (kirkcaldy) doesnt have any
what did you say to haggle?
Phone 08712 009 009 and quote POS number is 679925, the guy will do a quick check and let you know where you can find one, if any.
It's an discontinued product, comet want rid of these so I spoke with manager and said I'll take 2 for a good price, he was willing to proceed.
Although I did see a similar hard drive 1.5TB priced at £68.99 in the sale basket, maybe try your luck.
If you can find one in stock - best of luck !
