Let me tell you a secret these manafactured composts are not as good as the real horse manure you can pick up in streets. Police horses are the best ones. I normal follow the police horse with a dustpan and brush and scoop it up as it hits the ground. It has a nice rice smell to it and within seconds dung beetles are scurrying around it building nests.
Its a nice little money earner, i sell to allotment owners, flowerpot owners with balconies and even premiere league football clubs . The multi compost stuff has no smell of manure in it, no beetles crawling around. Try my manure and you wont go back and the smell is great. I will be doing a limited offer for those still not convinced.

I use horse manure too (I live on an old farm) but I do like John Innes as it is sterile. When sowing seeds or potting on, I prefer to use something that isn't full of seeds & spores.
This is a very good price. Heated.

Weber not weiner if course
Heat beads beat weiner everytime for premium briquettes for those of us that do real low and slow BBQ, lump wood of course better overall but briquettes for unattended snakes.

This supagrill stuff is fine for shorter cooks of 2 hours and under.
Briquettes always make me think of this now:
WHY do charcoal briquettes leave so much ash? Because MONEY!
TL:DW - There's a lot of ash leftover because there's around 10% incombustible material in there.
Thanks OP, just picked up 5 bags. I use these mixed with lumpwood for long lasting heat for my bbq
Weber coals unbeatable imo as they last a good 2-3 hours, also recommend a weber chimney starter.

Quick search on Google and you can get 5 x 8KG bags for only £50 delivered.

Works out at £3.61/bag for the cement if you buy 5+. I normally pay just under £4 a bag from my local independent merchant.

I'd nearly consider using Wickes if they just had consistent pricing, instead of all this multibuy discount rubbish.

Have put their prices up before the deal so hardly a bargain

Have you found it cheaper?

it's not actually a standard 15% off though is it oO

The Blue Circle factory was just along the road from my childhood house, so I'm voting hot!
Good luck with the Lungs I hope they hold out......

They're solid, mate. The factory was at the bottom of a steep hill. I fondly remember the childhood past time of driving golf balls from the top of the hill into the entirely concrete factory. The distant echo of deadly ricochets was as exciting to us street urchins as it must have been for the poor souls that occasionally happened across the yard.

Happy days.

No wall mount screw holes in this one. It's free standing.

They show another hose lock model in the instructions which looks similar but does have the wall mount. Hope this helps.

Anyone over 95kg probably won't fit through the hole anyway.
Watch out for the weight limits on these. I have a very similar looking one and max weight is 95kg. That's under 15 stone. Might not sound too bad but that will include anything you are carrying up/down too.

Edited By: TedStriker72 on Aug 08, 2016 01:07
Have a good look at the measurements, as when I fitted one I had to make my hatch bigger to allow for the pivot of the ladder. Might've just been a small hole though, I guess.
I`m in the market for a loft ladder & don`t want to go daft price wize, so cheers for posting.
There`s further info on fitting n stuff on the manufacturer`s site here
kzee
How much should it cost to get this fitted if the loft hatch opens upwards?
Thanks

Yeah that's the only thing stopping me, having never fitted one before i'm unsure how much trouble it would be. Mine is just a sheet of wood that lifts into the loft no hinges etc.

EDIT: found this http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/loft-hatch-problems.67225/ hopefully mine is just bits of wood attached to the inside of the hatch that I can prise off and move.

you could, but you'd also need to replace the transformer, alternatively buy some gu10 lamp holders (the lamps are the same size for the fitting-cheaper option by far-about a pound each per lamp holder)
getdave47
The gu5.3 ones are extra low voltage (12v) so you'd need a different transformer for LED as well as the LED lamp, not fire rated so would not recommend fitting these in any ceiling with a habitable room above

Damn. Bought them but didn't think of that. Could you not just install 12v GU5.3 LEDs like these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-GU5-3-LED-Spot-Light/dp/B010UQK8UA/ref=sr_1_2?s=lighting&ie=UTF8&qid=1470735264&sr=1-2

I do have some similar in my bathroom, I'm not sure on the exact regs so might be worth having a google. I think you can fit these in some zones away from water contact of the bathroom but not above the shower etc. Someone else may be able to offer more concrete advice :)

Boxes of 5 sockets, switches and pendant sets for a quid and all top quality stuff :-)
OOS online, C&C based on local stock availability.
I've got on of these, return port send sky back to a box I put in my loft to then distribute that to my bedrooms, add to that an RF extender then you can watch and control sky from wherever you watch as long as others don't want to watch something else. Phone socket cam in same way too so killed 2 birds etc. Shame no Ethernet too.
It should be noted that these types of fascias only provide 1 cable in for one SAT and the coaxial- you need to run a diplexer or similar in your loft or wherever to combine the signals.

Return port is for sending signals back up to the distribution amp. Like the old style chan 68 from the sky box or a VCR in the lounge to all other TVs.

I have these fitted behind the TV as it makes it easier for having firestick, Chromecast etc in without needing additional plugs, should it indeed become outdated technology it will be sat behind the TV anyway or for a couple of quid just stick a normal plug back on. i find I replace the plug sockets every few re-decorates anyway as they get discoloured and covered in paint etc anyway, and they are so cheep it finishes the look off.
If you like keeping them fresh looking and you redecorate a lot then it's worth just removing the screws on the fittings, pulling the socket or switch forward an inch or so and covering them with a small freezer bag. You can then roller the new paint right up to them with no fiddly edging work. Saves time overall and looks better. (Do be carefull where you hold things though - unless you've isolated the circuit there will be live conductors exposed in the back and most plastic bags will not give you any insulation at mains voltages!)
True but I find nature does far worse damage than paint, the white plastic just yellows so quickly for the £2 (for a non usb variety)it costs for a replacement, plastic bags nearly cost as much these days :)
Interesting - I've not noticed that. Do you use cheap and nasty sockets?
Not really I have a friend who works on an electrical trade counter so I get them from him normaly, I think maybe I'm being fussy but it keeps me happy, its like buying a new pair of shoes to go with your new suit, not required but finishes the job off.

So you know how we are advised to turn off chargers at the plug....do the usb sorry switch off when not in use...ie zero power being used. Sorry im not sure how leccy works in usb sockets with no off switch.
Screw fix one came with instructions and it says that if it detects that no current is being drawn, then it shuts itself off after few seconds or so.
Sounds like rubbish - unless they have a physical switch which is operated by the device being plugged in (like a bathroom shaver socket), they have to maintain power on the pins in order to detect it. They are thus always connected to the mains, rendering them susceptible to transients, and consuming a certain amount of power, although this is very small if designed properly. The socket ought to remain stone cold when nothing is plugged in.
Another issue is how these might compromise the operation of powerline ethernet devices.
Really as my power plugs have been playing up nd I fitted some of these through out the house..... And for what it's worth trickle charging is better for batteries especially if your going to leave them over night.... If your in a rush use the old charger.... With my phone I have a 9v 5a fast charger but normally just charger at 1amp 5v over night
Does your phone really charge at 45W? I am guessing this charger is a third party device and the original was not rated as such. All phones, tablets etc contain their own charging regulation circuitry which will prevent damage due to charging being too rapid, and also prevent them being overcharged. There may indeed be a very slight effect on longevity from using a higher charging rate but if the phone doesn't get very hot as a result I'd not worry about it.

sorry got it wrong its 3amp..
The Ulefone Power uses a 9V 2-3A fast charger
