Back on offer again! Cheapest new card with a 16GB framebuffer. The RTX4060 is apparently going to have a further price rise too. A large triple fan cooler on this - probably OTT for an RX6800 but should mean quiet operation.

The CPU will also play a part.

6800xt vs 7800xt maybe 5fp different for 70£ well for me no 6800 vs 6800xt around 15 fps for 50£

Helldivers should easy work max out on this gpu (edited)

The RX 6800 does not max out native 2560x1440. The performance will generally hover around 40-60fps depending on how heavy the action is on screen but I can say for sure it is generally under 60fps with all settings at max.

Unfortunately for AMD users Helldivers 2 is a game that performs much better on Nvidia GPUs and it also favours a strong CPU.

Using a mixture of settings I get between 60-90 FPS in game(90-120fps on ship) at native QHD with an RX6800/5900X. The game has been out long enough to have received any performance enhancements from driver updates so I don't believe it will get better with further updates.

Hi all. Currently have a 1660 Super with an AMD 5600, but am on a Tomahawk Max B450. Some quick scans found people saying it would work with the board despite it being older and PCI3.0, but always appreciated the input of this community. If you had a similar build would you consider this enough of an upgrade?

Use my PC for Football manager and much older Sim games, but mainly as I was put off trying the newer stuff I did want (Company of Heroes 3, Warhammer 3, Hell Divers 2) and basically using my PC more for Gamepass Ultimate, because my kid is never off the Series X in the living room!

I have the same motherboard as you and a 6750xt with a 5800x3d - the way I see it is, you will lose what? 5% MAX 7% performance because of pci 3.0 but you can always keep the gpu and move it to your upgrade. The key question is will u be upgrading ur cpu anytime soon and if so will u want the 5800x3d? If so then there is no question that u should stay with ur current build, that cpu is a monster. If u arnt planning on upgrading cpu, then maybe hold off? And upgrade the whole thing when time comes?

This is what I have done and it's been a year and a half and I am still getting 400+ fps in valorant/csgo (I play pro so need the fps) hope this helps. (edited)

decent price but it is worth mentioning that the 6800 XT is better bang per buck when on special offer.
    george_mooaaa's avatar
best advice skip both and go for the 7800 but if there is no money 6800 is still good option only problem is old

    Wow bloody bargain

It was this price for weeks then went up slightly and now back at £360, still very good deal for a cracking GPU

Finally bit the bullet on a gaming pc and settled on this with a basic AM5 build. All in £1k spent.

Im going to wait for Battlemage, my 6600XT is enough for my needs. (edited)

Before buying any GPU, be sure to use one of the many bottleneck calculators online to ensure your best performance between CPU, GPU, and RAM.

Got a specific one you recommend? I've heard poor reviews for the accuracy of most bottleneck calculators. (edited)

About Helldivers - latest patch has tanked performance according to posts on Reddit. I expect performance will improve just like a lot of other games released this way - the game was only out in February. But anyway the RX6800 16GB competition is the RTX4060TI 8GB at this price. (edited)
