Think that's 237.15 if you have the 15% code. Title needs updating

How is this compared to Xiaomi Pad 6?
    MikeyMike05's avatar
I've just found the Processor test comparison, as I am wondering the same as you.

Snapdragon 870 (Xaomi Pad 6) vs Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro 12m):

    nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-870-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-7s-gen-2

    EDIT:
I've also just checked out the comparisons between the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro processor (Snapdragon 7s Gen 2) vs Honor Pad 9 processor (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1)
    nanoreview.net/en/…n-1

Yoi will see that the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro is a little better for Processor performance.

Plus take into consideration that the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro has an SD card slot and a 3.5mm headphones jack, Incase that's a must for anyone.
Both Honor Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 6 do NOT have either of these.

Note of course that there the different devices have different price structures for RAM and disc size. Plus the Xiaomi Pad 6 has 11 inch screen (and is lighter than the other 2 devices).

Finally, I've just seen this Honor Pad 9 (8GB RAM, 256GB) £249 Spring deal which includes Flip Cover and Pencil/Stylus. Whilst the Processor is lacking in performance, the Pencil ✏️ is quite a plus. If cost came down a bit more, this might obviously suit some people.

Great share Mr S. I checked my app and I've got the 15% code just this morning 😁. Good price indeed, given in comes with a case (non- keyboard) as well the earphones ✌️

I'm.a fan of Redmi's OS version of Google, plus I believe this device is based on Google 14.
I'm returning my Honor Pad 9 from a recent Amazon deal as the OS overall feel is not my cup of tea. (edited)

Its HyperOS on these, it's a bit different to miui, took a little bit of getting used on an older redmi 10 we use as our landline/spare phone

But guess out of the box it's probably easier to adjust than with muscle memory already gained when OS completely changes on same device you areused to using

Anyone know what the security updates on this is? I couldn't find it on the website and the chat person didnot know either.
    SWERVE_79's avatar
When it comes to updates, the Redmi Pad Pro will get two platform updates along with three years of security updates. That is in line with other budget tablets, but considering Xiaomi's lackadaisical attitude when it comes to platform updates, the tablet is unlikely to make the switch to Android 15 sometime this year — or even in Q1 2025. That said, at least you'll get the update at some point, as well as Android 16 when that becomes available.

Does anyone know if student discount on 10% can be stacked with any other discount code?
    Mark_AFC's avatar
If you can go through unidays you'll get 20% off code.
  9. Grumbledook's avatar
Was thinking of buying this but not going to bother if they are only offering me a 10% off code when others are getting a 15%.

Think I'll just save up mi points and wait and see what the black friday offers are instead.

Same here, I refuse to buy, out of principle! (edited)

Oh man TechSpurt's review of this came on the other day and i had to stop watching because of the temptation, now knwoing the price of this and the fact it comes with the Pro Cover is making me itch! How do people think this will fare in terms of doing a bit of work through citrix etc?

Just received mine this morning 8GB 256GB Ocean Blue colour with the free case and free Redmi Buds 5. The tablet Is great for media purposes music movies etc. I tested some Android games at medium graphics settings they look great I don't play a lot Android games.

This Is great for doing my YouTube videos and editing them via video editor. I was looking for a new tablet to replace my old one lenovo tab p11 plus since that one was freezing and lagging. Overall I am happy with this tablet that does everything I needed It too.
