    No it runs via Origin the same way a steam game needs steam to run.

    Everyone just get out of the 'We hate Origin' broken record, it's old now.

    no, but you can stop origin from running with windows which should stop it from bothering you too much

    Ah thanks for that. Don't mind Origin at all, just that I don't think I've ever used it to download a proper game before as not a big PC gamer
