Ipad 2 advice.....

I have bought an Ipad 2 for hubby's birthday, and will be away when I give it to him. I want to know if he can just plug it in and use it by just putting a pre paid 1g sim card in or does the Ipad need setting up with our internet connection before you can do this?

Needs to be plugged into iTunes to activate/update before use

Sim will not work before this

you can visit your local Apple store (if you have one) and they can activate it for you instore, I did this in the Meadowhall shop a few months back hope this helps
