Samsung Galaxy S3 Camera Issue

Hey all,

I'm wondering what you guys think I should do.

I got my S3 at the very end of June, and as of Friday I have noticed a strange issue with pictures taken from the rear facing camera.

It almost looks as if it is a burn on the image, when looking at the lens itself on the rear of the phone it does not seem to have any damage to it at all and I have the phone in a case where the lens itself does not touch the surface when placed on it's back.

Here are a couple of pictures showing the issue:

What do you guys think? Should I email Samsung to initiate a warranty based return? or do you think there could be any other issue?

I didn't drop the phone to cause this issue, but from checking past pictures I can tell that it started on Friday 10th Aug.

That's what I was sadly thinking I would have to do.

Had the same problem over a year ago when I had my Galaxy S. It's a dead pixel in the camera which needs replacing.

I was really hoping for some sort of other fix, even though I knew that would be very unlikely.

Such is life, any idea the sort of time frame Samsung will need my phone for?
