True, but to be fair,it's not just Bella Italia.
Will be same if you go to pubs like Harvester etc.
Good saving if you like to eat there but I find Bella Italia's food is dreadful.
Go to Bella Italia often and always use the vouchercloud app, good savings to be had :)

Not a restaurant I'd ever go back to. Took my little one, and had to make her dinner when we got home. The spaghetti was just a stodgy clump. My dinner wasn't much better.
Can't watch the guy on TV spouting all his healthy eating blurb when he's happy to have his restaurants serving up badly cooked food. They should be practicing what he preaches.

Has any keen Amex-er bought gift cards/vouchers for any of these restaurants, and has the correct statement credit been delivered?
A list of those restaurants where it worked would be invaluable to all
Thanks

Although I do see that if the vouchers were used after the offer period, one wouldn't get the extra benefits of 20% off, a complimentary bottle of wine or a free appetiser

Also, if dining in, could one use several Amex cards, each to £10 to cover the bill?
Yes, these offers have now appeared on all our Amex cards (previously not showing offer at all). Does anyone know if this is one credit statement per card only or is it one credit statement per restaurant? Thanks.

I'm not sure if we know that's the case yet?
Managed to save it last time. The offer was gone and had to save it again.

Thanks. Did it definitely show in your saved offers? Really strange why it may have worked for some and not others....hopefully everyone who wants to use it can do so.
We managed to load this to all 4 of our Amex cards on Friday, two rounds of large wines and a split bill for tapas at Camino, between us we got £40 back.
This offer is worth it for drinks alone, two large (250ml) wines @ £16.40 with £10 back.

This is only for one person. No deal at all. Cold.
I always try and break these deals down to get a true picture of cost. 10 for the main, 5 each for starter and pudding. Doesn't sound like a huge bargain really.
If this is for 2 people then this is an OK deal if this is for 1 then I struggle to see how this is a good deal.
They are doing a Facebook offer at moment now for 20% off total food bill which expires 10th February
I'd need to double check, but I believe my AA membership gives me 20% off meals at Vintage Inns. (Car breakdown, not Alcoholics Anonymous!)

That's such a lovely idea - The multi-pack sold online is for the the physical cards! (For digital cards it states it is an e-gift in the T&Cs & redemption instructions) but if you want to be sure I think it is also in-store!

With regards to food. Watch out for hidden costs. Steak sauces. Sides etc. Me and the wife have done this at Edinburgh and Newcastle. We tried to spend it on the bar but you have to buy a meal. Eat something and take drinks to the bar. Bottle of Wine, bucket of beer...

Yes Malmaison site says spend it in the bistro. Interestingly the small print on the Hotel du Vin website says 'food and drink in the Bistro or Bar on a Sunday evening (between two), then the room rate is from £25* per room'. Either they have made a typo R you can spend it all in the bar there??
What's with all the negativity. This is a great deal, especially if you happen not to be at work on the Monday anyway. £25 for a room! No breckie admittedly. But spend £75 on food and drink and the food is pretty good. Just drink in the bar otherwise. Mal Liverpool is great, so is Leeds and Manchester is pretty good too

for the love of God don't stay at the Glasgow one!
we went last month for 2 nights & it was awful. basic room that doesn't warrant the high prices & the worst part was we couldn't get any sleep due to the constant noise of boy racers (something the hotel, council & police have been aware of for 9 years!) which started at 7pm & ended at 5am!
I will remember that, Edinburgh and Newcastle's are very impressive, Newcastle's is probably the best located hotel in the city,

No, nothing at all, not even this offer
The last useful offer was the Ask Italian one ( £10 credit for £45 spend)
I have messaged Amex, but was referred to the "connect" link to enrol - when I try this, it merely sends me back to my Amex log in page, where it is assumed the offers are already loaded to be "saved" by me ( but they're not on there)
I passed this info onto Amex, suggesting that there may be a glitch and have been told they'll send the issue to the IT dept.
I'm not holding my breath, though
Any ideas as to why this is happening and what I could do?
Thanks

Sounds odd. Which card is this? This is a non-corporate card right and nothing else has changed about your account in recent months? Are you still spending on the card (not that I generally find that matters actually).

PE always always have offers on. This one doesn't give you much choice of meal - so its only really worth it if your favourites are included.

Also, at Pizza Express 'Al Forno' means straight out of the freezer ...

This is not compatible with Deliveroo at the moment, who cover loads of restaurants, including the non-chains so you can order better quality if you don't like the 6 or so restaurants currently included by Amazon. You also need to be a prime member, living in central London. Therefore while the offer is good, it's very limited by variety and location.

I have no doubt this offer will be ongoing as Amazon attempt to take over this market too and they will expand quite quickly with better variety providing this trial is successful. Personally I think they are trying to expand too quickly. "Amazon Fresh" is still relatively new and the "Fresh" bit, seems a bit misleading. A friend ordered items that should last a year, but were due to go out of date in the following month. Amazon refunded and replaced after complaining, but there should be no need to go to the trouble of complaining. The food comes from one location and can arrive anytime up to two hours. This is great, but I don't see how they can do the same thing with hot food as logistically it's an entirely different ball game.

That said with their spending power of Amazon, I have no doubt they will eventually take a sizable chunk of this market eventually. Whether that's a good thing for competition is debatable, at least (most) the smaller competitors pay back to the community by way of tax!

Great spot and heat added, but side note: I'm alarmed to see items listed as gluten free when they're clearly not. Bloody dangerous and irresponsible.

Some people may well have it but choose not to go through with the stomach biopsy which is needed for an official diagnosis.

Comparisons to cancer/stroke may seem extreme but misdiagnosed for years it's not doing your body any good that's for sure.
I used to mock gluten sensitivity until it happened to me. It is a real thing causing genuine discomfort and bloating that can cause a 36" waist to reach nearer 40" in hours.

So why look at a coeliac listing, I presume that you just wanted a freebie, whatever it is?
paddymcn
I was diagnosed coeliac in 1998 at a time when gluten free bread fell apart on touch, it was only available on prescription.
Since the likes of Djockovic and Miley Cyrus went gluten free things have never been better for coeliacs!
The bigger the market for gluten free products the better they become, please everyone go gluten free, you know it makes sense?

Hell yeah!

I have been diagnosed a few years back and slowly but surely its becoming easy(ish) to eat out and actually grab half decent food from the supermarket because of this. its amazing!

Cant wait until Greggs get some gluten free stuff in october so I can actually have a snack while out and about! convenient food, atm, sucks!
JusticeForThe96
Nothing against him, just a bit of a daft statement really :D

and actually very wrong, there have been many news reports of people pretending to suffer from those diseases either as a result of Munchausen's syndrome or simply a wish to defraud people.

Las IguanusKids eat FREE at Las Iguanus when an accompanying adult orders a main meal from the a la carte menu (lunch menu not included).
Available everyday during the summer holidays at all Las Iguanas locations except Royal Festival Hall and Resorts World Birmingham.
At the las iguanas I go to it can be used in conjunction with the lunch time menu as long as you order a starter and a main off the lunch menu you can get a free kids meal
Worth noting that if you want to keep Kidspass after the 3 month trial, if you put in that it's "too expensive" when cancelling, they offer a membership at a huge discount, around £3 (normally £7.50) per month if I'm not mistaken. I decided to keep it as the Cineworld discount is pretty decent.

Never had a bad meal in there myself, mainly in the London branches though
The one in Nottingham is rubbish, food served cold so returned, another couple just did not eat eat due to poor ingredients (poor cut of steak) which they agreed with... Would not recommend.
sounds like a great deal. How pricey are the adult meals?

It says that if you are 12 and older you are classed as an adult.
Good find but I guess with the free entry for kids to Alton Towers you will have to pay full price for an adults ticket.
Good find, thanks

Tried to use voucher today & was rejected ?? :|
All the negi Harvester comments are funny to read. They're all "incident specific".
Although Harvester food isn't exactly gourmet, its bloody good value. With free salad and free unlimited refill soft drinks... how can you complain over price!?
I'm a Harvester regular up and down the country when I am travelling, and although they are not exempt from a complaint or two from myself over the years... I still go back because it is wholeheartedly worth it.
I think some of you expect too much.
Also, back on topic, as pointed out further up, you should NEVER pay full price at Harvester as there is near enough always a deal going on. Check Vouchercloud etc or they sometimes have their own deals (I.e. this one) on their own site.
Put it this way, a couple can dine for £20-25 and be absolutely stuffed without ordering a starter. Bad value my a*se...
I would have agreed with you until recently, before the recent new menu the price of a meal was an average of £8 but now hardly anything on the menu is less than £10. If I am paying £10 for a meal then I may as well pay another couple of quid for a decent meal in an independent restaurant.
As far as I am concerned Harvester has always been a convenience food outlet and their attempts to dress it up as something more and hike the prices just makes it less interesting. I tend to be looking for reasonable low cost meals when we can't be bothered to cook or something nice on a special occasion. Harvester has now positioned themselves to be neither so we haven't been back.
Our nearest Harvester is next to ADSA so we would tend to go shopping and have a meal there, we have stopped now, not because of any complaint about the food or anything, just simply they are trying to be something they are not and priced themselves out of the convenience market. There are plenty of other places near us that offer meals for £8 or less so we simply go to them now.

Fair point and thanks for not starting a ridiculous keyboard argument like most do haha!
I fully get you though, I much preferred it prior to the menu changes, but I have grown to adapt to it now and I have no real issues aside from the burgers being nothing like the quality they were a few years ago.
Have you tried Flaming Grill as an alternative?
Our lass loves that place and since she showed me, I fell in love with it too.
They always have stupid deals on like 30/40% off (again, check Vouchercloud) and the one we go to is impeccable for the price.

The "i want it all" share platter is lovely, and although i got a bad one once, its usually spot on. £26 shared between 3 people (2 adults and a toddler) is not too bad price wise, and with this £5 off its even better
Never been back since they "improved " the menu and removed all the good stuff
