hi, for those who bought a full set car seat and prams , do you find the Chicco Urban Car Seat Adaptor in the box or boxes ? i just ordered my pram and car seat at asda online, but thinking if i need to order the adaptor. thanks
Was it the stroller at £130 but £65 at checkout? Because if so then it has the car adapter with it. I got it along with the carseat and 2 colour packs for a crazy price compared to all these other sets etc!

yes yes yes, i ordered mine online today @ asda direct. thanks

Don't bother with this travel system. Ordered and arrived fast. Got the car seat out to test in my 4 door saloon and had to adjust the front seat all the way forward. Thought we had a small car so went to see a SUV and the seat was the same in there. Did a bit of digging and this car seat is 87cms in length. The maxi cosi seat (industry leader) is 69cms in length. Don't buy unless you own a minibus. They also charged £30 to return. Avoid

pay with credit card which doesn't charge for 'non sterling payment'..the company is based in Ireland...
i have this travel system. its pretty good. lightweight and folds down well. the car seat is not a comfy as others on the market however. it also isnt compatible with isofix, you can buy the adapters for the system but you still need to buy a maxi cosi car seat. No need to rush to get this deal price though as I bought it for this price in the 'sale' last summer. i would recommend it if you dont mind using a belted car seat or paying a lot extra to get it isofix-able.

Been struggling to find a pushchair that would in my tiny car boot and this is compact enough to fit. Went into store this afternoon and really liked it so ordered online via Quidco. Some mixed reviews so hoping the quality is ok and it lasts.
It's really compact and relatively light weight. Has a 2 year warranty so in case of any issues you can get it sorted, but I hope there are no issues :)

Does this pushchair come with the car seat too for that price ??
matwalaboy

Been looking for a good urban pushchair for our DD2 due in a few months and came across the armadillo flip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUggFmy2S-M) - it folds rather nicely - doesn't weight a lot so easy to carry around.
Has the usual features one expects from a premium pushchair (forward/backward facing, one hand fold, big shopping basket, sturdy build quality to name a few). It is very spacious so should be good for upto 3 year or possibly more.
Can easily turn into a travel system - compatible with the Aton, MaxiCosi car seats, would need an adaptor though (http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-armadillo-flip-car-seat-adaptors-cybex-aton-aton-q-cloud-qmaxicosi-pebble-cabriofixbesafe-izi-go/159946800/type-i/)
Gets very favourable reviews from most reputed review websites and VLoggers.
Most other retailers are price matching/selling it for the same price as well. With the features and a reputed name - one can't go much wrong with it.
I have also compared it to M&P's Sola2, Chicco Urban, Quinny Buzz Extra and the BuggaBoo Bee - looks very good value for money although for some of the pushchairs one can argue they are more sturdy/serve different purposes etc. - but more a matter of personal choice I suppose.
Specs from M&P's website:-
Age Guideline: Birth- 15kg.
Dimensions: H: 98 x W: 55 x L: 92cm Approx.
Folded Dimensions: H: 75 x W: 55 x L: 25cm Approx.
Weight: 9kg Approx.
Includes: Chassis, Seat Unit, Chest & Crotch Pads, Shopping Basket and Raincover.
M&P's are also selling it ofcourse - but can't post a deal directly for their website as HUKD won't let me, so if someone wants to buy straight from them they can do so too:-http://www.mamasandpapas.com/range/armadillo-daily-deals/12173/?cm_re=Permanent-_-countdown-_-dealoftheweek
There is also a 15 quid gift voucher if you shop for more than 30 (http://www.mamasandpapas.com/our_gift_to_you.php?cm_re=Permanent-_-Homepagepod9-_-SaleRetention) which can then be used on your next shopping online or in store.
Don't forget a 5% quidco if buying straight from M&P. And of-course there is free delivery.
Hope it helps someone.
Need to buy one separately.
love my armadillo

Not bothered about resale price.
too much money to waste!
We bought this with our first child and I didn't mind it but GF hated it and ended up getting rid. Like someone else said, there's no resale value because there's never a shortage of people trying to get rid, and the RRP is just an imaginary price cos this seems to be on offer more often than not. The car seat seems like it's been updated though, as I was looking at this last week and it doesn't seem as big as when we bought it the first time (4 years ago... 350 reduced from 500 lol). We've ended up spending a bit more and getting a moodd with pebble 2 for 465 from mothercare in the sale, but I think the silver cross wayfarer is about the same price from toys r us online (if that's any better ).

Make sure you have a good play with this and a few other prams before you buy it, but tbh it's not dreadful for the price - I just don't think it's much of a deal because both me and silver cross know it's not worth 500.
Well we're on second time use of this pram. Used it with our first 3 years ago and using it again. I like it. The heaviness is an arm workout I don't mind at all. Used it till he was nearly 2 and using it again with our 3 week old. Not bothered about resale price.
moral of the story is...more bad reviews than good. buy at your own risk?
Suited my first son to a tee. Kept for 2nd and coz he's a lot smaller height and weight wise (17 months and still in 6-9 clothes) it was awful (in stroller mode). The straps wouldn't go small enough to strap him in tight so he kept slouching and by time we got rid last month (folding mechanism broke) he had started to scream when I tried to put him in it coz he was so Uncomfy. It was also impossible to push one handed which was a pain in the **** with a 3 (almost 4) year old who wanted to hold hands instead of using a little life bag with strap all the time

New dad to be, very confused by the array of prams/travel systems/pushchairs. What would you more experienced folks suggest as a "starter pack"?

something very cheap to start with. We got something similar to this although mamas and pappas second hand for £50 it included an ISO fix car seat base (car seats without ISO fix are a pain) and lots of covers. our lad is 6 months old. The pushchair and car seat still works fine well although he prefers to be carried in a sling.
We picked up a rugged off road buggy from freecycle which we will put him into when he is big enough for it in 3 or 4 months. They sell for £399 new.
lots of second hand bargains to be had. Bit of buying new buy cheap. I have friends with £1000+ buggies but they often only use them for 12 to 18 months before buying something cheap and really light weight plus rugged when the baby is bigger.

That's great advice - thanks a lot

Sorry just seen your post
The seat never lined up and endless trapping fingers
The two front wheels were coming away from the frame felt like it was going to buckle
Rain protector didnt fit over the pram and the pram itself wasnt shower proof
The pop studs came off the foot protector and the daughter had these in her mouth one day (major safety for me )
When going over the smallest of dips in the road almost tipping over due to the suspension not working correctly

Brill deal, had ours 18months, been off road lots! still great... and the resale on ebay is great too!! well worth it!
Mine gave up after 3 years but it did travel abroad a lot it was fantastic and the basket is huge great deal! I've got a bugaboo donkey now and I don't like it as much at all x
Our UppaBaby Vista has just given up - but only after 5 years hard use. I would recommend it above any other pram I've ever used. I love it and am gutted it's finally given up.

Good deal but we ordered from Pramcentre website and got this (in black) with accessories and maxi cosi car seat for £700.
I couldn't find that offer on their website at the moment, Have you a link please? Car seat is usually £135. For the £65 extra I'd be interested to know what is included :) Especially with the John Lewis price match Floz mentioned :)
Lots of deals on the website: Pramcentre
I'll update if I can see the deal we went for (blk uppababy vista with maxicosi seat etc).

EDIT: £779 including carrycot and car seat, all in black seems similar to our deal, closest I can see on their site at present: here

We've had the beige version for 2 years, fantastic pram , loads of space and easily copes with uneven surfaces ie. Gravel, cobbled roads etc in comparison to smaller prams. We have a budget pram about £100 ish and you can see the difference, plus you'll likely get a reasonable resale value when you come to part with it.

John Lewis will price match

Unfortunately, the above is not the latest 2015 model but the previous years. Pramworld have the same red/ cream models at £699 also (labelled 2015 model in their title).
The key difference between models is the 2015 allows a bassinet and seat together whereas previous models don't. Might not be as important for some but it is for ourselves. We are selling an older model for the new one for this feature.

Perhaps you are looking for a black one, if you are flexible about the colour the red or beige one is available for less here:

We have this - got it in a similar offer earlier in the year. But have the version with the silver chassis.

We really love it so far DS is only 6 weeks though so we haven't completely put it through its paces yet!

We particularly like the ease of fold, manoeuvrability, huge basket and adjustable handle height. It's also worth noting that although it doesn't say so anywhere (or it didn't when we got it) but it's fully compatible with maxicosi car seats! We particularly wanted a maxicosi rather than the supplied one so this was a real clincher for us.

I ordered this pushchair the wheels are enormous far too big for my preference I looked at their return policy and if you are unsatisfied with the item you have to pay to return it
Big thumbs down from me

Would a Mamas & Papas car seat fit on this ?
Not sure if all car seats use same standard fitting.
No. Car seat adapters are specific to both the frame of the pushchair and the car seat that you wish to attach. The maxi-cosi adapters are a different shape where the car seat sits into the adapter than the mamas and papas.
The shape of the end to fit the pushchair will be the same for that pushchair only across any other car seats but the shape of the car seat end would depend on the brand of the car seat. I think the only ones that are interchangeable are the besafe and the maxi cosi

Can you get a carry cot to go on this?
They don't seem to have one listed but the pushchair seat itself it says is suitable from birth and can face you.

Has anyone experienced problems with its front wheels? My pushchair always stops like if the breaks were on. I have already contacted kiddicare about but I was wondering if I was the only one.
I bought one last week. The company kept in touch through msg till delivery arrived. Very nice and easy to use buggy. Worth the money. Would recommend. Go ahead....

I received this travel system two weeks ago and I found the really nice , easy to assemble, very practical and when closed , it does not take up much space . my only worry is when they I put the carrycot I think the plastic things where we attached aside a little loose and they move a bit up and down, is this normal or defect?
Thanks
I don't know. But my one looks loose as well. I thought that it was normal but you could email kiddicare to check.

this was £430 with a free car seat in January, but also you are about another £100 for the car seat base. I'm still looking for a better deal. :(
i know what you mean they do sting you for the isofix base, but i think all brands bases are around the same price.

This looks like a great find, spotted this too after looking what else could be had through the bounty offer. It's pretty well rated on Which. Never heard of Kiddies Kingdom before, but they advertise a price match on their website + 15% off. Could this be had for £340 from them?

just had reply, no price match as they'd be making a loss. Still great price at 400 via bounty offer :) heat!

Seems like this is £499 now
I also had a look on eBay and the only ones anywhere near £200 were grade B and not including the car seat. This is by far the best price so I've gone for it :)
There usually a grade or b grade seconds on there and don't include the car seat. This is the best price around for this model with car seat
I also had this .. It's so easy to use my 1 con though is that it's pretty wide so it taking my daughter around the shops was a task
Try BabyValue on ebay. They are always listing these on auction in various colours and usually sell for £200 new.

If anyone wants this but isn't in Edinburgh, try asking your local mothercare if they can get a stock transfer. I've done this successfully in the past for another hard to find bargain. :)
Not sure these are such a great buy. We nearly got talked into buying one - but they're cheap and lots of stock for a reason.

The metal frame is flimsy. The plastic clips on the sides were broken on the demo model. The car seat doesn't have a matching base available, so you'll need to fiddle with strapping in every time.

These were £35 in December and early Jan (Rotherham Parkgate)
