What do we know about this new edition of the Switch OLED?
While the information isn’t official yet, Dealabs’ Magazine editor Billbil-kun managed to gather many details about this new edition.
- Name: This revamped version of the Switch OLED console will be marketed as: “ Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – Mario Red Edition”.
- Visuals: Although we’ve acquired a visual of this new edition, we are unable to share it due to legal constraints. Notably, the primary modification to this console is the colour. No customised designs featuring the Super Mario theme are expected. Specifically, the Joy-Con, alongside the docking station, will be red. This is identical to the hue observed on the standard Switch OLED with Neon/Red Joy-Con. Certain elements on the back of the console may also be red, such as the volume control buttons.
- Price: The price will hold no surprises, intending to mirror that of the typical OLED Switch with Neon/Red Joy-Con, which comes with a recommended retail price of £319.99. We can even anticipate that some retailers will offer it at a more appealing price in the UK, which should round off at approximately £299.
- Release date : As of now, we haven’t pinned down a precise release date. However, it’s certain that it will hit the market before October.
As mentioned above, there’s a high likelihood that this console will be announced during the presentation, providing a 15-minute preview of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game.
