The only real mayonnaise imo.. Avoid their "Light" version its absolutely terrible and should be illegal for it to be even called mayonnaise!! 😁 (y)

This is a good deal for Heinz....... .......BUT you can't beat a bit of Batt's tomato ketchup from Lidl. More tomatoes, less sugar, less vineagar, half the price. (y) lidl.co.uk/en/…320 How much sugar is in your tomato ketchup...?

Yeah it's brilliant.

Yeah should be as long as it’s wrapped tight

I agree, no other Ketchup tastes as nice as Heinz Tomato Ketchup. However, I think Heinz Tomato Ketchup in the old style glass bottle/jar is nicer/better tasting than the ketchup in the squeezy plastic bottle as this has been reformulated to be runnier/more liquidy to make it easier to be squeezed out of the plastic container to the detriment of its taste.

I tried them when they were reduced with checkout smart app. It’s a good price I wouldn’t spend £2 on it.

Roger_Irrelevant

Yes it's really nice and tangy, we also use it for "upgrading" cheap supermarket pizzas (but that have good bases). Smear on top of basic pizza, 5 mins @ 200°C Take out, add your own toppings and cheese, further 12 mins @ 220°C. (y)

The government should shut all the big retailers down so we’re reliant on small shops who charge far more and can’t even buy the same products wholesale for the prices that supermarkets sell them. Just like the good old days.

Throw a couple of tsp of cayenne into your dollop of ketchup every now and then or a tiny amount of scotch bonnet. Yummy and great with home made wedges.

I contacted Heinz to ask what they were actually doing to help vulnerable people right now (they said they were, but offered no insight into how), as it didn’t sit well with me that NHS staff were being given free delivery, but the vulnerable people stuck in their homes, likely struggling on a much lower income, unable to just nip to to shops for a can of beans on the way to/from work, didn’t even seem to be. It’s been weeks now and I’ve yet to receive a response.

Steve_Bareham

Has anyone received a second delivery ?

Heinz Truffle Mayo only 69p Instore at Heron Foods
613° Expired
Posted 24th AprPosted 24th AprLocalLocal
Found in local heron foods usually £2-£3 a jar but only 69p and good date on it of October.
thebiophysicist

I posted this before looking apparently it does contain 1% truffle. 1% is enough a x better than 0% I'll have to give it a try

thebiophysicist

Unlikely to contain any real truffle. Nearly all truffle products contain a synthetic substitute. Truffle oil from the supermarket doesnt have any real truffles in it. Truffle oil is a worse blag than wasabi that doesn't contain wasabi.

devlino

Never had it until I went to a pub street food party, it was on the burgers, loved it and all set to buy till I saw the price in Tesco, just got some in Heron....Hot.

berisford

Tastes like garlic mayo to me.........

DavidMcCloskey

The animals don't eat them! That would defeat the object. They just sniff them out for their keepers to pick up.

Yes it is comparable if you’re just after Tomato as the unit price drops below 50p which is better than the 62p Tesco deal works out at. They have an ‘always on’ 6 for £4 on the other flavours so if it’s a mix your after the Tesco deal is better than the above (assuming Tesco have all flavours in stock). The picture here is Tomato. I suppose really it should have been a mix of the cans... Still it’s very cold and nothing worse than cold soup eh!

juggler1

Exactly this.

juggler1

Fair enough, so it’s always, and always available in store? I was going off the fact you’d said ‘usually’. B&M deals taken from their website regularly get removed off this site as they can be mythical and not exist in any stores btw. I can’t stand tomato soup, I’d want a variety, scotch broth, lentil and bacon etc, which I’d be able to get in Tesco. If I wanted to buy Scotch broth, lentil and bacon and chicken noodle in B&M store, it’d cost 89p x3 - £2.67. And that’s if they had those flavours. Just saying that the b&M deal isn’t comparable.

Andykel07

Head added. My B&M only does 6 chicken or tomato for 2.99. 60p a tin for any is good imo.

Manchester_lad

It’s always that price in B&Ms. Stock can of course vary from store to store but it’s also listed on their website. It’s only Tomato that I’ve seen but they sell individuals cans for 89p and have other flavours. If stocking up on tins it’s worth a trip as generally find it cheaper than the supermarkets especially now a lot of the previous multi buy offers have been withdrawn. Social distancing was in place at the one near us and there was a large attached car park but I can’t speak for them all! You obviously don’t get Clubcard points either!

Has anyone else rec'd a second delivery ... I had a delivery around a week after placing an order on the 11th April , and another load has been delivered today .. this wasn't a monthly subscription order was it ??

deekie

HOT - I was going to share this on here but did a search first and already posted. For the negative comments I will just say that it is a good deal and it will help someone. Yes I know you can get them cheaper but the problem is getting them. My son is at uni and he is not allowed to travel home now so getting an order of food to him has been impossible. Amazon pantry have limited items and all the supermarket delivery slots are full. So less negativity please, people are just trying to help.

louiselouise

Am I the only person who likes eating Heinz Spaghetti (or Hoops) cold, straight from the can? Yes, I know, I'm an animal (cheeky)

I was just thinking the same Even for NHS staff it is expensive, better off at Iceland

loveabargain13

I’ve ordered as I can’t go to the shops, I can’t get them delivered online when I do manage to get a food delivery, so what am I to do?! Great from Heinz!

These are OK, if you wrap them in a wet-wipe they flush easily. I've never had a problem with them.

Bad enough that these are used commercially, but don't encourage everyone at home to start throwing away thousands of single-use empty plastic sachets. At least the big plastic bottles have some chance of going into recycling.
