sorted byNo, they're not cloud-based; they're normal PC installs but via a number of game services. For example, in the case of an Epic game, you have to download and run the Epic installer (same as Steam, Origin, etc) and then link it to your Amazon Prime Gaming login.
It's like Amazon have approached Epic and said "we want to buy 100k keys from you to give our customers for free - we'll give you 25p per key and you get the customer exposure". Amazon then offer them to us, so we're happy (because we got a free game), Epic are happy (because they'll get some people who are new to their platform) and Amazon are happy (because some people will justify paying £80 per year for Prime partly because of this).
That last bit was conjecture but I'm reasonably sure that's how it works
5 PM, today.
Think that's been a freebie from both Humble and Epic previously
Yes
Normally goes live at 11am or 4pm…I get confused between Amazon, PSN and EPIC for their free game refresh timings
Just updated now 17:08 GMT (edited)
I've taken this one, thanks.
These have all been taken without comment (not by me). Thanks for the gesture, though!
Thank you very much. Much appreciated.
To my surprise I could still redeem it. Made my evening. Thank you again.
Anyone else having problems
It’s not March yet….
These are PC games
Whilst it's not technically a subscription, many of these games require an account with another site (eg: Epic or GoG) in order to play them - sometimes forcing you to link Amazon to that service. Some of them you'll have direct access to via Amazon but generally the AA/AAA titles are via someone else. (edited)

Ah, the good old "I use the exact same turn of phrase to show I'm mildly mad".
Anyway, you can't have the same games on different consoles indeed, but you can transfer your account whenever you want, so yes, you can still play them forever.
If you still have it can you pm me please
You need to claim them at the get deal link, and then depending on the type either register them at their respective store in the timeframe or use amazon's own launcher to play them. You can't go back and claim previous months you missed.
Why would you want it for?
So if you have Amazon prime you get these games for free? Or is there a further subscription?
You know that even after the shop will close, you can still download any game you bought forever, right ?
Why’s it worthless? Just curious, I’ve not really played a madden or a fifa properly. Is it dependant on the irl season?
