About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Blinkbox are currently running a promotion in collaboration with Caburys where you text the world Blinkbox to 80580 (Texts are charged at standard rate, so basically Free for everyone who has inclusive minutes) and you have the chance of winning £5 free Blinkbox Credit.

However, I have discovered today that if you text the words "Oak" (no longer working 2pm 19/12/13) "Movie" and "Choc" then each of these 3 words guarantee you £5 free credit each. So you Get £15 of Blinkbox credit for the cost of 3 text messages and potentially a 4th if you are lucky enough to win with the word "Blinkbox"

Codes must be redeemed by 31st January, and the credit expires 12 months after redemption.

This runs until the 24th of December.

My first ever deal! I hope I am doing this right, I had a search around and couldnt find any other threads on the subject.......

"Oak" no longer working. Please post in the thread whether codes worked for you or not. Don't keep updating the OP with conflicting messages. Thanks - junk4 (Helper)

Movie no longer working
- yellowpjs

It appears (touch wood) you can "stack" codes from other mobiles/SIMs, i.e. you can text "CHOC" from different mobiles/SIMs and still stack all the codes onto one account.
- jewelie

Free £5 credit for new members, when they deposit £1 as well
- craig159753

Not all mobiles with inclusive minutes will get free SMS. EE / T-mobile / Tesco are charging for each message sent as they are classed as Premium text messages.

CHOC no longer working

    Blinkbox: 40,000 winners total, up to 800 winners per day, every 50th entrant wins, but they may increase that frequency at any time.

    Movies: 2,000 winners total, every entrant will win (subject to availability)

    Choc: 20,000 winners, every entrant will win (subject to availability)

    Oak: 1,000 winners, presumably all taken at this point!

    Vouchers must be redeemed by 31st January 2014 and are valid for 12 months!

    Wow.... Went out to play football, then to bed, woke up to over 3000 heat and 1100 comments! Did not expect that!

    I don't think Blinkbox been 1 in 50 is correct, It says they can adjust it, I have been doing it for over a month, on 2 phones and win on average once every 2 days on each phone.

    Never posted the Blinkbox deal before as it wasnt a guaranteed win and I know a lot of people wont see that as a deal!

    Glad to have helped though, enjoy your free films and chocolate!

    So by sending 3 sms charged at the standard rate (10p), 30p overall (they are not deducted by sms allowance, at least for T-Mob) YOU GET:

    - £15 worth of Blinkbox credit (£3.12 remaining after 12x £99 rentals)
    - 4x Cadbury Dairy Milk - Mousse Snowman (rent 3 £0.99 movies on the 19th) -> 65p each or 3 for £1.2, so 4 cost £1.85
    - 2x Cadbury Dairy Milk - Snowy Delight (rent 3 £0.99 movies on the 20th) -> £1.4 each or 2 for £1.5, so 2 cost £1.5
    - 2x Cadbury Little Wishes Chocolate Bag 128g (rent 3 £0.99 movies on the 21st) -> £1.5 each or 2 for £1.5, so 2 cost £1.5
    - 1x Cadbury Heroes Limited Edition Tub 780g (rent 3 £0.99 movies on the 22nd) - £5 but most probaby widely OOS
    - 12 (rentals) x (£0.99 x 10.1% TCB) = 12x £0.10 (cashback per £0.99 movie) = £1.2

    So all in all for 30p you get...
    12 movie rentals + £3.12 blinkbox credit + £1.2 cashback + £9.85 worth of Cadbury confectionery. (+not to mention Clubcard points, ok ok I'm stretching it too far)

    If only that has been posted yesterday (to get a 5th batch of 3x £0.99 rentals), then for 30p you'd get
    15 movie rentals + £5.15 blinkbox credit + £1.5 cashback + £9.85 worth of Cadbury confectionery.

    MASSIVE HEAT!

    No, the competition is closed as there were only 1000 codes available for "oak". I've made it clear in the OP (twice) that that code no longer works.

    Got charged 10p for each text on my Giffagaff sim, but that's the free £5 anyway.

    40p for £20 worth of credit is awesome. I am pretty sure that they'll sort it out today now though as thousands of us will do this.

    Think the codes are limited to 900 per day so why should'nt HUKD members claim it!

    I am not charged on 3 or Vodafone for the texts, I was waiting for my online bill to update before I posted it here in case it was charging, but even so, 40p for £20 of Blinkbox credit has to be a winner
