The Archos GamePad is as much a tablet as a gaming device. It runs Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ for tablets, so includes all the improvements that come with this new OS, including even smoother interface animations, voice assistant and Google Now that shows you the right information at the right time. With full access to the Google Play store the Archos GamePad includes DRM support for downloading books and movies. Whether it’s one of over 600000 apps and games, thousands of movies or millions of books, Google Play has the content for you. The Archos GamePad also includes access to all the Google designed Android apps; whether it’s surfing the web faster with Google Chrome, keeping in contact via Gmail, Google Talk and Google+ (with multi-user video calling), planning a trip with Google Maps or accessing your content on the cloud with Google Drive and the 5 Gb of free storage.

Because the GamePad is an Archos tablet it also includes the best of multimedia with the Archos Media Center applications - tailor made apps for video and music that include metadata scraping, auto-subtitles and, of course, the best format and codec support around including 1080p video decoding. Combined with the front facing stereo speakers the Archos GamePad can be your full-on portable media device.

Good reduction on price but terrible product. Waited patiently for mine when they were first released at the end of 2012. Very disappointed. Uncomfortable to hold, poor screen, poor battery life. Sold mine on eBay soon after. I know the Gamepad 2 has been released, I hope that one is better.

    Yes this amazon.co.uk/JXD…Jxd

Had the Archos, it's not awful but it's not worth more than £50, the d pad is 4 separate buttons which really lets it down. Sent it back and got the above.

If its gaming you're looking for buy a ps vita. They're far superior. I wouldn't waste time and money on these cheap devices because in the end you'll be disappointed. Also, my Xperia Z runs games quicker than this. Looks a good deal, but you get what you pay for.
