Donate unused easymobile credit to charity!

thanks hairychad!

Remember people - last day today - only hours left!
The breast cancer one definately works, so that's good.
only problem i'm having is actually tracking how much money i have left as the website isn't realtime.
does anyone know a simple way of getting my current balance, without missing the midnight deadline?

Also, it'd be worth ordering the free FRESH sim-card and taking the free £10 credit for charity too. you only get £15 if you top-up.
Thanks for the reminder on this one :santa: Also for the original post jogu :santa:
well i feel all warm and fuzzy. i just spent 20mins texting 35 texts to various charities on the 84858 number.

dont forget, less than 48hours to spend your credits.
have just sent 2 texts donating most of the remaining credit to Breast cancer research and then i've requested the fresh mobile sim, so that it closes the account.

If you do not spend £5 worth within 3months it hits you with a 75p fee every month until you do.
Huh what non usage fee? mnooo i got myself into easymobile last month!
To quote BexTex on MSE:

The following was sent to myself from the buy.at affiliate service, though will be useful information to those thinking of using QuidCo for putting through their easyMobile order, as it will affect them too:-

easyMobile has re-assessed its online budget and has made the difficult decision to cease affiliate promotions.

The programme will therefore be closing this Thursday 12th October as unfortunately their budget will not sustain any further volumes of promotion. However, any cookie sales after this date will be honoured.

So while the SIM card offer may be extended on Easymobile it looks as though the affiliate scheme i.e. Quidco, TCB etc will be finishing tomorrow making the Easymobile SIMs a lot less attractive. BexTex may of course be totally wrong!

It was good while it lasted though.... Julian.
Yeah, I've just noticed that too Ray. easyMobile lying to us there again. :-(

yea, got one tracked at £20 too
i was lucky, quidco have tracked me at £20 with literally seconds to spare of easymobile changing there offer.
Ooops, Quidco has changed the cashback amounts. When I posted the offer it was still showing £20 :)

Here is the new info from Quidco

£5 for a sim pack which is activated within 60 days
£12 for a sim pack and which is activated and topped up with credit within 60 days

Thanks ukdrummajor for pointing this out. A loss of £8 in cashback.
offer has changed via quid co, no longer £20 cashback?!
Here's a tip

If you don't want to transfer your own number, you might want to make use of the large stack of free o2 sim cards that are cluttering your desk!!

This will give you the extra £5

what company are you referring to quidco or easymobile?

If its quidco, you'll find plenty of people on here (me included) who can vouch for receiving cashback from them.

I mean Easymobile - Quidco is great!
havent missed even a single Quidco transaction.

Either clear cookies(/files) before going through Quidco. Or, as someone suggested in the forum, use a different browser for Quidco.

Thanks for the info....will give it a try....
Yes "dealtime", I dialled 07744974247 and spoke to India for around 35 minutes.I checked my account online after an hour and yes its free.
The reason I was apprehensive using this number was that o2 charges 25p/min for using this number . It is free (included in free minutes)for orange network.
As above posts :)

CLICK HERE to visit the thread for the last offer they had.

CLICK HERE to visit the thread for the offer a few weeks ago. The thread is 11 pages long and contains some invaluable information about easyMobile.

If you go for this deal then ensure to cancel easyMobile's "overdraft facility". It only takes a few seconds and can be done online in live chat. It prevents your account from going into a negative balance so you won't owe easyMobile any money. Rayman tells you how to do this >>HERE<<.

Hope that helps.

That definitley looks like a replacement, thanks dm2.
Scales have been clicked  (edit: seems I got to spread it around, sorry)
Well I presume it won't be any dearer than that. I spotted it at the end of last month and have checked every day since to see if it had been released yet, lol. I can't wait to pounce!!
looking forward to this phone (if is cheap)
I don't know when it'll be released or what the durability will be like, but it seems this is the 5140i's successor:

The Nokia 5500 Sport is splash and dust resistant. It has a stainless steel body and rubber grips, ideal for those with an active lifestyle. The 5500 Sport is no ordinary phone, it's a Symbian OS smartphone packed with features such as a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, EDGE, MP3 player, FM radio and microSD card support. It has three working modes which can be interchanged with a quick press of a button. Choose; Phone mode, Music mode or Sport mode. In Sport mode you have access to special features such as a pedometer, calorie monitor and stopwatch. The Nokia 5500 Sport also has a text-to-speech module and the phone will read you the status of your workout or the contents of your incoming messages during a workout.

http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/232/large5500sportya1.jpg

It's already available for pre-order on o2 at MobileShop.com - 12 months half price line rnetal: Total term cost (12 months) of £180. £30 QuidCo cashback too!!

Seen as it's that cheap I'm hoping it'll be a lot cheaper when it's actually released later this month!! When it is, I'll be posting it here on HUKD!!
Best phone I've ever had, still the only unbroken one in the phone(junk) drawer, bombproof.

When will Nokia make a new equivalent?

I have a 6630 in a silicone case now, dropped a couple of times and standing up well, but not had the abuse the 5140 took.
Menus a bit dated now, and no memory card, but I'd have another one for work.

Pretty much all out of stock now. :( I'll keep an eye on that section though!!
the motorola's can be done, although the latest ones with the newest firmware updates are tricky. The old ones are easy. Nokia's obviously are a peice of cake. The software is freely available 'out there' on the net. ;)
Hi,

Which ones are you saying can be unlocked with software, thee new ones are very tricky the way you do them.
m623d
yes they can be unlocked without opening them up. You just need some unlocking software for your pc ;)

The Dutch Company merely ran the service for easymobile and licensed out the brandname, they still ran off the back of Tmobile, which fresh does too, but all easymobile sims will probably be made inactive come Dec 13th.
So you can pac out to the fresh mobile sim offered with £15 free credit and it'll still work in a easymobile sim as both use tmobile, afaik.
noted on the news today that the dutch company who easy mobile use are getting rid of easy mobile so unless stellios gets his act together nice phones but no signal
