I forgot gas was free ;)
swap the bolts for wingnuts for ease of assembly and these are great for camping
These are alright. I used to use one for camping. The only thing I would say is due to the design the back section gets hot but not really the front. Lasted me a couple of years or more. I only got rid of it cause the coal was costing each BBQ we did and coal takes forever to get going. Swapped it for a gas one

55cm (D) is not large, not by a long shot. It will look smaller once you receive it as well;

£31 isnt bad, but having done a lot of shopping around for a decent sized and well made firepit, homebase have ones for £60 ish that are huge and really good quality.

I think most people aren't getting the point here. If you need a recharge something is leaking as it's fully sealed. When did you last recharge your fridge. ???
Most folks recharge every few year as it costs a fortune to change seals etc. Most of the time.
If it works it works. If it's cold after 5mins it works. If it works after 10mins it works, if you get it recharged at a very reasonable £30 and it doesn't work your car is knackered. If you get it charged and it's cool fast but deteriorates your car has a small gas leak somewhere.

It's not hard guys.
Riyaal
Had my Aircon service at honda today. £63 Inc vat fixed price which includes the anti bacterial sanitizer. I trust them and they also carry out a full inspection along with a foc vacuum and wash. This is the second time I've had it done - the last was in 2010 so it's lasted a fair while.

Jesus your local Honda dealer must be better than mine. I bought my Honda car 3 year ago, Honda approved used car. They said it had a full Honda service which was complete tosh. It's a good job they are bulletproof. As mine had a 5year old dateatnled oil filter on, and I reckon the rear spark plugs had been changed maybe once in 7year.
Meluk9
Will this make my 4 year old Clios air con colder? It works fine and throws out cold air within a few seconds but on really hot days it has to be on max plus recirc to get the car nice and cool. Is this just the limited power of a small cars aircon because I find the same thing in new small rental cars abroad.

You'd probably get a few degrees extra cooling out of it as almost any system slowly loses pressure over time but it won't make a huge difference. Kwik fit might be a good bet for you if they do an offer sometime as they have a guarantee that if it doesn't cool better after an air con recharge you can get your money back.
potnoodle
just wondering, whats the purpose of having antibacterial cleanser in since all they doing is draining the gas and pumping it back in, the gas doesnt get in contact with the cold air thats blown in? ... the damp smell is more to do with your cabin filter that needs changing

There's various bits of an aircon system that can harbour bacteria and sometimes it gets smelly. I figured it was worth it for the little extra as it was a car we didn't know but it's very optional. It's serious stuff though, had to give it proper time to clear out with the windows down after picking the car up, it certainly felt like it'd kill unwanted bugs hiding in the system.
angie14
I have a 12yr old Astra from new... Always use the air con spring/summer and it still works touch wood! I've never had a recharge.. Should I just leave well alone?? Only done 55,000 miles

If the air con is still pushing out cold air, there's no need to charge it - so I would stay clear until that changes.

And where did I say you could get it cheaper? I said it isn't a 28% saving.Heres an email I got a few hours agoLoving this summer weather? We are… and we think it’s the PERFECT time to get out and about – especially as you can enjoy two carvery main meals for only £10. Simply visit us between Tuesday and Friday, until 23 June.plus £5.30 for 2 bottomless soft drinks, £15.30 total. A 35p saving isn't 28%, but feel free to show your superior maths that does make it anywhere near 28% ;)

No, you didn't say you could get it cheaper. You did say that there is always 25% off vouchers about or £6.99 for a carvery and a drink, therefore implying that there is a better deal out there. I could not find such a voucher at this moment in time and i asked you to kindly show us such a voucher which you did not.
So if anybody wants a carvery and a drink right now, this is the best deal there is. I do agree that it is not a 28% saving if you are getting a soft drink, however, a pint of beer or glass of wine must be dearer. I guess Groupon calculation will be on the dearest drink. Sorry for any offence caused.

Edited By: bazr on Jun 22, 2017 10:01:
They've done better deals than this in the last 12 months like '£20 for a family of four' and '2 Courses For £6.50'. Before someone makes some snarky remark about time-machines, try to understand that I'm saying this deal at £7.50 pp with a drink doesn't seem that hot to me.
julieallen
not really a 28% saving
carvery is £6.49, unlimited soft drink is £2.65

Plus theres always 25% off vouchers for food or offers like £6.99 for a carvery and a drink kicking about

The 20% is for maybe 8 or 9 months of the year.
poisondwarf
Good deal and voted hot.
But, the beef in our local Toby carverys is bloomin rubbish. Much to fatty!!
Its the same in our three local carverys and two months ago, the beef was dreadful in a Toby on the east lancs road, for the same reason.
We only have turkey and gammon now and dont go near the beef.

Like you I find the beef quality very variable, however you can at least see it before ordering and there are the other choices available. Plus I could eat their potato dauphinoise all day every day. :-)

Instead of being negative and poo pooing this deal, why not be constructive, tell us exactly how you can get this same deal for cheaper at this moment in time. Feel free, show us where to find such a voucher or offer, if you can. The best i can see is a free ice cream sundae for sign up to toby.

The whole notion of paying for a year's gym upfront and in one installment is nuts.
You might get an injury/illness, become hospitalised, move away from the branches, get bored, not have the time anymore (e.g. have to care for a relative), dislike the nearest branch to you, change your life priorities, see them change the facilities offered, become unemployed, etc. Then you're tied in.
Do most gyms regardless of paying monthly or yearly still not insist on a 12 month minimum term anyway?

The pay per month, flexible, no commitment model is on the rise, like in other industries (e.g. NOW TV).

I quit LA Fitness because of the 12 month contract. They reduced the opening times of the onsite creche and then we couldn't go as a family any more. I ended up going on my own, but still being forced to pay for two adults, until the contract ended. Because of their grasping for that final months' money, they lost a customer for life.
I joined this gym 3 months ago. The best decision of my life. Brilliant trainers, excellent classes. I love it ❤️
Although I pay £18.99. I joined when there was no joining fee. Still worth it. £17 is excellent price. I would have paid it

Yeah... True. But, a lot of gyms are contract only or a really expensive rolling contract.
So you're pretty much stuck paying monthly (which usually costs more) anyway if you get injuries. Unless you pay to get out of it.
Obviously if your gym is per month then it doesn't matter to you.

15 FPS in 4k
LMAO. Yeah great camera...
You obviously dont understand frame rates.
I don't? Gee.. well let's see ... my camera does 25 FPS in 4k. 4k video you download/stream/bluray is in 24/25/24.999 FPS. I've literally never heard of such a **** framerate as 15FPS in 4k..
A very long time ago, like hundreds of years ago, we decided that in order to show full motion, you need 24 FPS.
Please... tell me.. what don't I understand?
It's low powered, it does only 15FPS which will not present fluid motion. What's to not understand? It doesn't even do full motion frame rate.... I think YOU don't understand frame rates. Having been a video editor for 20 years, I think I know a fair bit about frame rates and if you think 15FPS is sufficient, then go ahead and buy...oh wait... you did... probably why you won't admit it's an expensive lemon and think it's awesome...
You don't have to film in 4K, most people wouldn't anyway even if the frame rate was higher. 1080p at 60fps will be perfectly acceptable for everyone's eyes. I tend to use 720p.
But that's not what the video editors comments were about

The first comment which was, '15 FPS in 4k LMAO. Yeah great camera...' looks more like a young child wrote it so it probably didn't warrant any sort of reply from anyone to be fair so he/she can count themselves lucky in that respect.

To imply that this is not a great camera purely because of the 15fps at 4K is a ridiculous comment and I really hope people don't listen to eejits like that as there are plenty of them on here! :D
I was fortunate to get the premium pack cheap. been using the camera in the car and on the motorbike since.
Daytime quality is excellent night time not so good.
The extras in the prem pack may be of some use, the added mounts certainly are and the usb power lead would be good to take timed still pics over a long period possibly or for in car on a journey + 3hrs. The added underwater lens is a must if you want to use it in water.
Spare batteries are a bit pricey but even after getting mine in 2015 the battery seems to last just as long approx 3hrs @1080/60.
Its good for what it needs to do although some seem to think an action cam should be capable of filming the next Star Wars movie it really depends what you want to do with it.

Edited By: trbal on Jun 15, 2017 15:50:
I film in 4K so I can cut it down to 1080p and cut / crop images without loss of resolution.

It is WAY better to film much higher than you will actually use...... also I do film in 4K to preserve it in 4K master, even if the output shared/youtubed will be 1080p. You can't do **** with 15FPS. Its about suitable as a CCTV device at this speed.

I have seen others comment they got fake MAC lipsticks and other dodgy cosmetics/designer gear from these shopping sites. Maybe some do sell bona fide items, depending on the retailer they're hooking up with - but I wouldn't take the chance.
I wouldn't trust anything branded from these shopping sites, and that applies to Living Social, Wowcher and the rest. I bought a fake Ralph Lauren v-neck jumper from Wowcher about 18 months ago (and commented about it on HUKD). I found a weird wholesaler that was using the exact same stock codes Wowcher were using to advertise their RL jumpers (and Living Social carried the exact same deal as well).

Wowcher didn't put up any sort of fight after I submitted pictures, articles and web links, they just quietly credited my account. I bought a jumbo box of Ariel Washing Powder with my store credit - they can't fake that, can they? (though, you never know!!) :p

Anyone who wants a peek can look at my comments (and others') http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ralph-lauren-shirt-jumpers-28-99-wowcher-coggles-2279324?p=26089775

Do these special heads actually do anything extra over the basic Precision Clean or is it just a gimmick?

Doesn't seem anything special to me, can get a lovely cream tea for 2 for £10 in many nice cafes.

Cream tea and afternoon tea are different things, amigo!
This is about the price it should be, had Patisserie Valerie not hiked it up to such a stupid price that nobody in their right mind would buy it without using Groupon.

This was once a fine patisserie, until the owners got greedy and decided expansion at any cost was the best financial policy in order to sell off the chain. It's now distinctly mediocre at best, and downright awful at worst.

Druckers Vienna Patisserie sells the same cakes at lower prices (all part of the same company) but they're both grossly overpriced for very mediocre food.
Have a check of your local on TripAdvisor their afternoon tea is quiet poor. Not made on site and they don't get many in each day and you can't book. There are many better ones out there than PV. If it was the cake and coffee / tea deal then that's a different story :(

We got a similar deal from Zizzi, it was the first time I haven't finished my Pizza in a restaurant, and it was nothing to do with the quantity, it was the worst Pizza I have ever tasted
I just bought the three courses with a glass of win for 2, for £20 @ Zizzi from BuyAgift. Much better value.
Worked as a waiter for 10years including Bella Italia. Certain restaurants attracted better quality customers who tipped for good service. Ultimately these attracted better quality staff. All the companies I worked for let you keep 100% of your tips. However you then gave 10% to the bar team and 10% to the table cleaners. Again, the more you want the better quality service you got from the bar etc.

Ultimately you get what you pay for long term.

I would be very surprised if you can't tell the difference between good and bad service.

Does anyone else tip anymore? I don't I don't understand it. We have minimum wage for a reason.

Yes, if the service is good, I will generally will tip around 10% with cash directly to the member of staff whom served me.

I know a lot of staff are told to say it, but the one thing I can't stand is when you're in the middle of eating and/or having a conversation and you get asked "Is everything OK with your food?".. This normally happens when I have a mouthful of food.

I tip but only because they make it feel awkward otherwise, staff who do this need to find a new job if they think people should have to tip because they write down a order and go to the kitchen to get it for them lol

They differ a lot – any shipping costs are displayed at the checkout stage under the “Shipping & Handling” subtotal. All items can furthermore be tracked using the "Track Order" section of your "My Groupons" page. There is also a chance that an item ordered from Groupon Goods comes with an extra delivery fee for handling. This will be clearly stated at the checkout stage.

Returning Items to Groupon

Drinks and food on groupon.co.ukGroupon operates the Groupon Promise system, which allows customers to return any unredeemed coupons within 3 days of purchase. There are also specific policies for different Groupon offers and cases:

  • If you ordered on another website and entered your shipping details there, you have to contact the merchant.
  • If you have bought a Groupon Getaways voucher before the voucher has expired and you have not been able to book a time that suits you, Groupon will refund the value of the voucher.
  • If the voucher period has expired, then Groupon will not refund a Getaways voucher, so search for a convenient date well before the expiry date.
  • Groupon Live tickets will only be refunded if the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

Any items purchased via Groupon Goods can be returned within 14 days of receipt. This covers any goods that have been damaged in transit, have missing parts or are faulty. It doesn’t cover changes of mind. Any items marked “final sale” on the purchase page are also ineligible for returns. This is how you return items:

  1. If your item does qualify, head to the Groupon Goods website and go to the “My Groupons” section.
  2. Enter your sign-in details as normal. Now click on the “View details” link.
  3. Here you should see a link marked “Return package”.
  4. Click the link and print out the prepaid mailing label.
  5. Attach this prepaid label to the package containing your items and send this to the address on the label.
  6. Refunds from Groupon Goods usually take between 2 and 3 weeks to process. You can track the status of any return by heading to the “View details” page and clicking on “View Return Status”.
