****SPOILERS****
My understanding was that the flash sideways on series 6 was what can be called purgatory. All the stuff that happened on the island in series 6 did actually take place in the real world. In the alternative timeline (purgatory) we are lead to believe that people who you share a strong connection with in life will be drawn to each other in the after life. Only after an awakening, a realisation of just what you have been through or coming to terms with having to pass on, can you then move on to whatever your idea of heaven would be.
In fact after trying to write this down I realise I might not have understood the show as much as I thought I did
Also wasnt sure on the ending, but it's the only show ever that had I had to watch every episode as soon as it was available!
Good price, but can see this going same route as Friends boxset & going down to 30!
I wonder if Amazon will match this price.
where? not on play.com thats for sure.
***ANTI-SPOILERS****
A load of complete morons actually believe they died on the plane and were dead for the whole six seasons!!!
Excellent price, cracking let down but brilliant ride....
Heat up.
Have to admit though there were a few painfully slow episodes amongst the absolute classic ones.
Have heat for this great deal.
My head hurts... I can't watch this again! I might melt!!
Good price for the box set and heat added.
Most people didn't want to watch it anyway...... O.o
But in case anyone just wants to watch them once, then all the series are on Lovefilm instant. You get a months free trial (plus £18 cashback on quidco just for doing the trial) and then its only £4.99 a month as an introductory offer. (think it is going to up to £5.99)
Obviously you don't get to own the dvds but you can watch all the series, and there is loads of films and other tv shows to watch as well.
Fair comment, but the streaming on LoveFilm isn't going to be anywhere near as good as watching it on Blu-Ray and as you say you get the hard copy for this so you can sell it on once you've watched it.
Come again?, see this is the problem they dont even know themselves what they meant by the ending people who understand it are kidding themselves
That is pretty much spot on what I couldn't begin to type explaining the show!
I think the final episode has to be watched 2 or 3 times to be fully appreciated.
I had to read what you'd written a couple of times but this kinda does make sense!
That said, I do think that the early success of the show was a little to it's detriment as once the 'money men' on the network realised the $$$ that could be made from the show they then 'encouraged' the show's writers and producers to pad it out to last for more episodes than it really should and in turn opening it up to criticism.
Ah, Paolo & Nikki. Basically, the writers and producers got viewer feedback that people were getting bored with the same characters all the time, and people wanted to know more about the other survivors. They started to introduce N&P as two new characters, having them go to the Pearl and so on. Problem was, everyone hated the characters, so a quick end had to be written - hence the Nikki and Paolo episode.
I'm actually just watching this now for the first time. Partway through season 5. Don't know whether I'll be able to finish - it's getting a bit too convoluted for me. Don't get me wrong, great show - it's just that sometimes I don't like to have to think too hard about my TV...heat added, and managed to get in at the £49.99 mark - well worth it for the first 2-3 seasons plus all the extras - maybe they'll shed some light on things...
Shame its gone now
