This cashback business is quite funny to read....personally im not bothered if i do or dont get it but i will try. Let me just throw this principle into the mix.

'it is Samsung who provide the casback or via an external operator. So they are stating that they should give cashback on 4 products THEY make. Now correct me if im wrong but regardless of price( because they don't dictate the price the retailer sells it at) the whole point is for a Samsung to sell as many as possible cashback or not to make money from them. The cashback would have been factored into the selling price somewhere so what people on here are saying that just because loads are now being sold by One retailer they are not going to honour the deal. Samsung already know how many have been sold( i.e bought wholesale by retailers) and what level of cashback response they should be expecting....

Some people think that the money paid at the till goes to Samsung but it does'nt, Samsung already have there money...simple business. So what people are implying is its not in Samsungs interests to sell THEIR product...everyones a lawyer or business analyst on here but lets just keep it simple.

Almost everywhere (including friends postcode) its out of stock so expired ?

I ordered yesterday morning and received an email yesterday lunch time saying that my order is ready for despatch from depot in Litchfield.

Since then nothing has changed.

Were these supposed to be next day delivery?

Same thing happened to me , so I called CPW Customer service and they said Sat delivery has extra charge and I would be receiving on monday.

Went to Currys/PC World this evening having reserved a white Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 on the phone and they would not price match until they could see stock at local CPW. They went on the internet and couldn't find any store in stock but did tell me that CPW did have stock instore but were showing out of stock online. The Manager sent one of the staff next door to CPW who apparently had a number of both white and silver so I got the price match and the additional 10% off.
I asked about the Samsung Cashback and he told me that they did not advertise it following information they had received from Samsung. He didn't expect them to honour it and advised me that I was taking the unit at my own risk and if they didn't pay the cashback then I had no comeback on Currys/PC World because they no longer advertised it.
This is my first post but hope it helps someone if not then please ignore.

Honestly... take what Curry's say's with a huge pinch of salt, I've already made one successful claim (see post 852) and that also came from a price-match and what's more, the csr told me there was no way Samsung would honour the cash-back because Id bought via a price-match.

People please stop worrying.. it might take time, but you will get paid

You shouldn't have submitted the claim until 15days had passed. They will probably invalidate it now. Might be an idea to contact the Samsung Helpline number on Monday and try to stop it going thru at this time.

From the T&C:
3.Claims must be made within 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase, for the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts as day 1. Claims received outside this period will be marked as invalid and will not be accepted

I was just about to buy the 7" one this morning for my wife for Christmas. Thank god I looked on here before I did.

I've now got the 10" one ordered, with hopefully a surprised wife getting 3 extra inches Christmas morning! (_;)

Somehow the White one came back in stock for literally a minute, so I ordered it for store pick-up and its gone through - something tells me I will receive a cancellation email because it was a mistake and it shouldn't of gone back online.

Just to add to the will they or won't they honour the cashback argument....Richer Sounds are still advertising the Samsung cashback offer on the web....they also do a price match...they say that they have the lowest price guaranteed and also claim that they will beat any price 'til it hurts, even from the Web, and give you up to £100 although in this case that equates to an additional £5 as item is in the up to £300 category...not sure how easy this is to get them to price match but maybe someone has tried and knows....I tried getting them to do a price match on a sony product about 8 months ago and never ever received a reply so bought elsewhere...

At the moment the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" is priced at £237 on their website but it is not available to order on-line and is exclusive to in-store customers...no idea about the availability at their stores but may be worth checking out for someone close to a store....

Our family reserved 3 between us on Friday evening / Saturday morning. Went to collect them Saturday evening, and the store hadn't any in stock despite the fact we had confirmed email reservations. Not happy, particularly when I went home and CPW is still showing stock in that store (Though it's gone from green to yellow)

Got one on Friday from CPW. The manager said that White was out of stock at most places now, and in places where it is sold its about £40 more. Have to say though, the Silver looks great!

Web browsing is great, esp with jelly bean update. Some apps have compatibility issues but will be fixed soon.

I ordered it to be delivered to my nearest store only down the road. Reason being is other people have said that they have had theirs come in the post and it to have the seals broken. If I go to store and get it out in front of them and the seals are broken then I can say something. I've had the email confirmation and store order confirmation - my available balance (not actual) has gone down £195 too so does that mean I am definitely getting it? Just don't want them to cancel tomorrow morning because of an 'error' by them putting it back online for mere seconds/minutes.
