Can I stick a gifgaff simcard in this, if I don't have wifi?

Also any usb port?

Thanks

You would need to get the 3G model, to get USB port you have to buy one of USB OTG cables someone mentioned

have many people took there's back ???

and had problems, with the store trying to actually process the return

in the last 24 hours I have tried 2 different stores in trying to return my galaxy tab (bought on line, so within my rights to return)

both stores have claimed the system is down and will not let the process the return (much to my anger)

So looks like it'll be 3, 4, 5, 6, attempt to return my tab

I've had 2 tabs from CPW bought instore, seals intact and both have dead/flickering pixels. This 2nd one has about 5 or 6. Anyone else tested theirs and found any?

Manager yesterday was very reluctant to exchange the unit and made a passing comment about 'if this one has the same thing we won't be able to exchange it' and that samsung are strict about number of dead pixels before they'll exchange.

I checked the CPW website and you can't get a refund on tablets unless they're faulty, so I'm a bit concerned that if I get another replacement and it has 1 dead pixel in the centre, they won't give me a refund.

Anyone else had similar experience?

I do believe there is a minimum level of dead pixels on any screen before any manufacturer will deem it faulty. If they are lumped together then you should get a replacement but if they are spread out you probably wouldnt notice them much when using it.
It may seem unfair, but thats the the big comapnies for you. You can always try the 'unfit for purpose' route or speak to your local Trading Standards office and see what they suggest

No USb port, but you can buy an adapter on Ebay that plugs into the Samsung connector, to enable you use a USB device -memory stick or card reader, and possibly a external HDD with seperate PSU

Could you point me to the device on eBay that enables me to connect a memory stick to the Samsung Note 10.1 please? On The Samsung Note 10.1 the power lead has a normal USB end on it which connects to the power pack. I was wondering if there was an adapter of some sort that would enable the USB end on the adapter wire to be connected to a USB memory stick?

Try Item Number 290771292936. There are others for the differnt variations on the TAB, but this one should do the job. Just search for samsung, tab2, usb.

HTH

Many thanks for your help

has anyone tried the cash back option online with samsung ?? It simply is dreadful, when you click on claim your cash back, it gives options to agree with the purchase policy, once done the next page does ask for the purchase date which is minmum 24th-31st Oct 2012...you cannot select any other dates apart from this and carphoneware houseclaims you can claim till 31st Dec 2012 ???

Has anyone come across this weird cash back option.

you have to claim 30 to 45 days after purchase, they don't want people claiming instantly and then returning the tablet for a refund....plus they hope you forget to claim of course!

That's according to the Tesco website. But, on Samsungs website it says:

3.Claims must be made within 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase, for the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts as day 1. Claims received outside this period will be marked as invalid and will not be accepted.

There's a leaked version out few months ago, but there's still some bugs here and there. The official one should be out sometime soon since Samsung released the JB source code for this tablet recently..

Else, you can flash CM 10 based roms, they're quite stable and smooth, much faster than stock roms, awesome battery life too, only downside is u would be missing TW

Picked this up from John Lewis this evening for #1 Daughter, to replace her dire Arnova 7F G3 from Staples which was replaced twice for a broken power socket - it's like another world, this is an awesome tablet - so much so I will probably get one for myself - does anyone recommend the 3G version, or should I just use WiFi sharing from my mobile?

I think from past comments you just select: OTHER, which will be in the O's of the Retailer list.
