I'm only offering advice and my opinion. I have been waiting for a xb1 myself but remember the shops know more than consumer. if new 1tb is released at £299 as rumoured then the 500gb will be below 250 easy.

I picked up an Xbox one with MCC this morning for £220, as far as I'm concerned that is a bargain and I wasn't going to wait any longer in the hopes that they come down more than than. You still pay around £100 for a new 360, in comparison its a no brainer. Good luck in your quest to get one even cheaper mate.

I tried adding this plus a 10% off £100 spend I have on Ebay but would only accept one code, but can be purcased for £239.99 as above.

The new sku was announced a week before e3, it's a 1tb Xbox one with a revised controller, the only difference being a 3.5mm headphone jack built in

ps4 is already the better console with loads more sales

what does that have to do with what I said? Are you just looking to start a console war lol. I already have a PS4, but in my mind brand loyalty is dumb if you like franchises on both platforms. The point I'm trying to make is that if M$ deliver a great E3 with loads of new exclusives, it might make the XBone more desirable and therefore retailers may not be so desperate to shift stock, even with a new SKU. Who knows.

Probably unlikely as the only people interested in E3 are fanboys and gamers in general, it's the casuals word of mouth that make a console more desirable. Little johnny's mum and dad have no idea about E3 and just buy whatever console is popular in the playground.

True. I bought one for £220 with MCC anyway, that is a decent deal and I said 250 was my biting point and this is well underneath that. Xbox will always be secondary to my PS4, but I do like Halo, Forza and the GOW1 remake looks great (I didn't like the other 2) so now I will have the best of both worlds.

and what if Microsoft smash e3 making the console more desirable?

Well... crap. It's not realistically going to get any cheaper anytime soon is it. I said I'd buy it sub £250, might as well stick to my word.

it isnt to get one cheaper but as more to be bundled with it etc.
just before the biggest gaming event of year probably isnt the time to buy consoles.
because we dont know the plan.
while i agree its a decent price later on today it might have a price drop to £199 for the 500gb model, nobody knows or they could bundle 2 or 3 digial games with each console bought.

4 months ago you could get the console for £290 with 5 games and 2 pads,so this isnt a mind blowing deal anyway, just a good one.

Microsoft did a great E3 show, I'm really happy with the deal I got now, especially since cheap Xbone deals are not coming in as fast as they were beforehand. I think the backwards compatibility will make the console more popular, especially once there are more titles available.
