Popbitch and Revolver Entertainment are proud to invite you to a special preview screening of 'A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints' with Dito Montiel.
A successful writer living in Los Angeles, Dito (Robert Downey Jr.) is summoned home to Astoria, Queens, New York City, after a 15-year absence when his father (Chazz Palminteri) becomes seriously ill. Memories of his youth come flooding back as Dito revisits the old neighbourhood, encountering the few childhood friends (the Saints) who arent in prison or dead.
As Dito finds himself whisked back into the childhood events that shaped him, we meet an unforgettable cast of characters living in the thick of a sweltering 1986 Queens summer. These include Laurie (Melonie Diaz), Ditos childhood sweetheart; Mike OShea (Martin Compston), a Scot with an Irish name who dreams of becoming a punk rock musician; Giuseppe (Adam Scarimbolo), a reckless, destructive and possibly insane member of Ditos street posse; and the unforgettable Antonio (Channing Tatum), Ditos cocky and volatile best friend grappling with an abusive father.
A powerful coming-of-age story, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints is based on director Dito Montiels own experiences growing up in the tough neighbourhood of Queens, dealing with misplaced love, reconciling with family, and embracing the ghosts of your past.
A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints won Best Director and Best Ensemble at The Sundance Film Festival 2006, in addition the film won critics week at The Venice Film Festival 2006 and a Best Actor Award (awarded to all the young male cast) at The Gijon Festival 2006.

The screening will take place on Monday 26th February at Odeon Covent Garden, 6pm for a 6.30 start.
