Not at all, just Baaaaaaaaaa ACCURATE INFO POOPER. Viewers of deals on here need all the relevant info, so they can make a sensible purchase decision. Basic HUKD and general rule of life stuff. Thank you, carry on with the party.

It's a free kids entry only. Not a free entry for adult. You need a paying adult. Which makes it not really that amazing a deal as this is about the easiest thing to get anyway and you probably have a few vouchers for it in your kitchen cupboards. The free kids entry to a Sealife, is included with numerous cereals, biscuit packets, crisps, and many more things. It's been available for years and no deal really. The adult ticket prices are always over the top. They are just trying to draw everyone in that might not have gone otherwise with the premise of a deal. More gift shop/café shop sales to at inflated prices! Bit of a scam IMHO.

Usually £5 so prices must have gone up!
Although latest releases were more expensive.
Only £5 at Odeon Stoke
I'm pretty sure it was £5.50 before, so the price has gone up?
Isn't this the normal price here?
Voted hot, although a pretty grubby cinema. I much prefer Vue but can't argue at the price.

Hi, I've put my reminder in my phone calendar for about 10 days before its due to expire! Hopefully that works or its an expensive pair of tickets!!

Make sure that's enough time. GS charge you like two weeks before. Annoying as. In their terms when you complain.
Can't you just cancel the Direct Debit?

Just a heads up for anyone interested, Odeon are now taking bookings for a Double Bill (So Star Trek and ST: Into Darkness) for £5. Details here.
Have to agree. Darkness is an abomination. 2009 is wonderful, so hopefully Beyond will restore the faith.
Cold because into darkness is terrible and not worth paying to see
Have to wait and see what tribute they do for Anton.
that's a long time to be sat in a cinema :| but great films :D

This should get more heat, think it's a pretty deal for the family films at the moment.

It was actually cheaper to pick this option £6.25 pp for the family of 4 inc food + drinks than the standard £7 pp option.
Then drink and popcorn would of easily been £10 on top.
This offer is now available for £25 across all Odeon cinemas

Sounds a great deal but would check out if this offer includes what Odeon say are there blockbusters movies which are generally new films that majority of people want to watch. Odeon do the reverse with these and charge £1 per ticket extra so could cost you more than other cinemas. The last 50% discount offer didn't include the "blockbusters" so a bit of a smoke and mirrors offer again to draw us in.

we saw the secret life of pets today, tickets would have been £38 for 2 adults and 2 kids and another £10 for the family mix of drinks and popcorn. So we saved £18 on the deal.

Rather than waste extra time driving/money to cinema plus food, been available as a 1080p download for a while that know how.
It is action, sci fi, fantasy, adventure... while not great by any means it is worth a watch, and films are better in the cinema. So I would suggest getting reduced ticket prices if possible... so this ideal.
don't bother awful film
There's something endearingly 'Harryhausen' about how bad it is but it's not completely unwatchable... O.o

Does anyone know if it is OK to take a 7 month old baby in to the screening? I can't see anything on the Cineworld website.

Yes you can take a baby :) I go regularly, lots of people take babies and young children, a little bit of noise is expected as it's purely for the kids, no need to feel uncomfortable taking your little one :)

You'll see when you go that you needn't have worried but to be on the safe side taking a baby, I'd recommend taking another adult who can stay with any older kids you might have if you need to take the baby out. As you can see, it's a touchy subject for some people, so to avoid you feeling uncomfortable if the baby gets noisy this gives you the option to calm the little one away from shaking heads etc.

Do they do parkinsons screenings?

Erm it's a cinema, noise it's expected. it's movies for juniors not for babies. winds me up people taking noisy babies or allowing kids to do whatever they want. I take my children they sit quietly and watch the film.
I said 'a little bit of noise' no one said anything about allowing there children to run riot, mines 3 and sits quietly most of the time but can get fidgety towards the end it is expected with young children, people are well within their rights to take babies and young children to the cinema, who are you to tell them they can't....
Erm i'm a paying customer in a cinema who doesn't want to hear noise from people's children OR BABIES,especially as mine can sit there quietly !

update - on webchat with Groupon they confirmed voucher works in all odeons except the 3 or so main ones in central london,
Chat advisor wasn't much (any) help with booking odeon tickets online process, just said to print and bring the codes into the Odeon...

Don't have much time now, was always going to be tight now with deal finishing so soon, so I just cancelled and they refunded me already...

ps. This is 2nd Groupon deal that i've had refunded which was good service from them (other one was UC4 groupon deal disaster)
so generally happy that they refund vouchers with no quibbles cheers

Sorry to state obvious but tickets only work on 2D films and standard seats - is that what you are trying to book ?

Finally used ours this week - booked online - saw the new Ghostbusters (seemed disjointed some parts were ok) and Tarzan (which we enjoyed)

Hope you get yours sorted :)

a deals a deal I guess. but makes sense to use meerkat and actually go watch what you want to watch

To the person complaining about the inability to combine a meerkat discount with a monthly unlimited plan, how would this even work?
You can do so with Cineworld's Unlimited Card, but I agree with the rest of your post. The ticket purchased with the Unlimited card counts as the paid ticket then you use a Meercat code to get a free one. Odeon could easily have implemented this too but I guess they thought it would cost them too much in lost revenue?

Edited By: loop on May 23, 2016 00:51: Detail
While Odeon do have terrible staff with a sole duty (push as much non-movie related, highly marked up confectionary & drinks on their average consumers), if I'm offered 40% off a £10ish ticket, this is a good deal.
For all the folks complaining about lack of quality programming available at Odeon screens, I was able to see 'Hail Caesar' & 'Midnight Special' recently, both at a discount.

Enjoyable enough, I didn't think it was as great as the reviews made out to be honest. 3.5/5 from me.
Saw it last night, I think it was really good. Flashback to our lat 70's - 80's school days.... may be not Ireland but same in London....
maybe cicobuff you are younger or dare I say much older(lol) and didn't appreciate it I would give it 4.5/5....
The story was good and made me click my fingers and laugh at times..... the best part was the skinhead hooligan who got tames by the skinny short kid... and the brother who hated his young bro but then loved him to bits

No I am perfectly aged for the events, a year or two younger than the main character, and loved eighties alternative music....I never said it was a bad film just cookie cutter. I laughed myself many times, just as I said I don't think it was as good as reviews have made it out to be, and I don't really think some of the tunes wrote for the film are really that musically in tune for their time...especially that song in the school hall towards the end of the film.

Not to mention it is factually incorrect....the kids would not be called downstairs in 1985 to watch Top Of The Pops and see the music video to Duran Duran's 'Rio' from 1982....Since when outside those TOTP2 segments in the early noughties did TOTP back in the day do anything other than current Top 40? Never.

In case anyone is interested, the 'club seats' are going for the same price (as confirmed with Odeon Kingston), so if you need / want a little more leg room for no additional cost...
I don't ever read critics reviews beforehand now. What they think what I think are altogether different.

Well the review embargo lifts on Monday, 9 days before release here and 2.5 weeks before its release in the US. That's unusually early for a blockbuster of this size and suggests the studio are confident they have something great on their hands (they let great reviews out early, builds hype, gets bums on seats etc). Of course, I could be completely wrong and it could turn out to be a dud, but right now I'm looking forward to seeing it. :)
Looks like those reviews are looking too good....http://screenrant.com/x-men-apocalypse-early-reviews/
Does anyone really care what critics say anymore? Still going to see it.

Looks like I was completely off the mark! I thought it might be another Civil War situation, which let reviews out early (by comparison, BvS only lifted its embargo a day before release). Still, like you said, I'm gonna go watch it and make up my own mind.

Thanks mate. I went through live chat in the end. How disappointing was batman v superman .... Worst storyline ever!
Went to see Zootropolis on Friday with my misses & daughter, £2.50 each. Glad other people had a bargain as well. This code still works till Friday the 22nd, so still time to go next week as well.
Watched eye in the sky last night and saved a few quid after stumbling across this so thanks. Actually thought the film was quite good and for less than £4 I certainly wouldn't grumble!
Heat added :)
Agent_Silver
I dislike that this gets hot, only because lucky enough to have a Plaza, £2.50 during the week, £3.50 weekends, and the treats are far better value - so I can't add heat (although good if you have no choice).

Agree totally. We gave an independent here (Crosby plaza) & it's £4.50 standard price, £2.50 for kids & £2.50 on Wednesdays for all.

Same films as odeon, same superb digital projector & incredible surround sound, with much more comfortable seats & much more friendly staff.

Moaning about piracy on a regular basis gives them all an excuse to keep bleeding people dry, despite it being clearly a load of nonsense, as cinema takings & seats sold are higher than ever.

So it won't work for Captain America on the 29th. As that's after the 21st.

yep my mistake on that one. Only skimmed the T&C before looking for tickets. Good deal though
Heat added :D
Shame it's not for Captain America Civil War or Ratchet and Clank on the 29th April :(
Worked for me. Went on Sunday to watch Zootropolis with the kids. 20% voucher didn't come through on my email but when I enquired about it at the till they knocked it off for me.

Big deal!!! fecking hotUK deal police!

Great offer. Took the kids too see Zootropolis for £18.94 for 5 tickets, then another £35 on food and drink lol
As it's based on the comic book of the same name yes it does happen, slightly adapted to seem more epic (in the comics batman just had a kryptonite ring) but yes batman hasn't and never will trust superman and he keeps the ring inside his utility belt under his bat logo.....
Also the people saying this is unrealistic and they wouldn't fight each other. This is based on an actual comic book where Batman did indeed take on Superman.

£17.50 for four of us to watch Zootropolis!
you should have waited its on the kids club in a couple of weeks time :)
you can see why they are having to offer 50% off this weekend, poor list of films out at the moment :(

I could and we use kids club often but it's holidays the films new out the kids are desperate to see it so it's a nice treat at half the cost we were expecting to pay.

I'm surprised they are running it at the moment actually given its right in the middle of the school holidays for a lot of places and a lot of parents are doing the cinema thing with the kids
Thanks

But who'd want to sell their soul to the Murdochs (Sun and Times)?
They're already effectively running the country using their influences via the media and their political friends.
Do you want to make it even worse? oO
You do know the BBC has more journalists, more coverage and more public contact than News UK? So your point isn't really valid.
You do know that's a crazy argument, don't you?

The BBC has far more resources devoted to international news, certainly, and wider coverage, but there's one big difference - it's under a legal obligation to report honestly and without bias. Left and right both claim that it's biased against them, so it's pretty certain that it maintains a central position. Conservatives don't like that, of course, because they're more used to the right wing bias of pretty much all the UK press.

News UK has no obligation to be unbiased, and it certainly isn't. It regularly uses its position to influence its readers, and in the case of Sun readers it usually succeeds - simply because most of them aren't bright enough to realise that they're being brainwashed and lied to.

What I really object to is Murdoch/News UK's misuse of their position to influence politicians and indeed manipulate the outcome of elections to suit their own financial ends. It's patently wrong, it isn't in the interests of the UK, and it's a pity that some way isn't found to prevent this misuse of power.
Avallon
Taste Card costs a bit extra and is a very limited version, only valid at restaurants listed on the NUS website.
No, it is the full version and included at no extra cost. Times+ website provides a redemption code that can be used here: https://www.tastecard.co.uk/redeem/timesplus

You don't get a plastic card, but have access to all the usual offers - just use the tastecard app on iOS/Android/Windows phone.

How come the Birmingham odeon is so cheap? The Coventry Odeon is £7 off peak, I may as well get on the train over there.
Competition could be a factor. The two Birmingham Odeons have two Cineworlds, a Vue, Everyman, Electric and an Empire all within a few miles. And the fact that Birmingham is a dump with a relatively deprived demographic. How it still holds on to its "second city" status is beyond me.
Birmingham is a dump? You should come and see Coventry.

The whole of the West Midlands has become a dumping ground.

Our Odeon is minimum £9 for 2D films. More for 3D.

However with the opening of a new Independant cinema in the area, VUE have reduced their tickets to £4 any time, any showing, any film (£5.60 for 3D)

Good deal if you can hack it but I'll be repeat viewing via Sky Movies on my living room couch :)
Actually did the 22 hour marathon for Age of Ultron at Vue and that was fun, might have to give this a go
I find it sad people can waste so much of there life going to see 3-4 movies in one hit.

How can you even sit on your **** that long? the seating in the cinemas are awful for a start.

This is just my view.

Price wise not bad and cineworld unlimited holders can also go see these may need to pay little up charge for 3d if not black card holder.
these marvel flicks are all so ridiculously overhyped and very repetitive. Also, superheros are supposed to be for kids, and these films are all 12A......no one will give a t*** about any of these films in 10 years.

Thanks also but you need to bring the page from the radio times with tickets when you go.
You ARE kidding right?, or ..... :-(
Lol.
I've never been asked for anything other than the ticket at a ShowFilmFirst screening, plus it doesn't say this anywhere on the ticket or the webpage so I can't see them enforcing this, even if it said it in the Radio Times."Terms and Conditions
The time on ticket is the start time. There are no advertisements or trailers. Please arrive early. Seating is first come, first seated. No one will be admitted late. Please print off your ticket to take to cinema and ensure you have ID in the same name. Whilst some cinemas do accept phone tickets, not all do, so please print the ticket. As with all major ticketing services, apart from cancellations there are invariably some 'no shows' on the day of an event. Therefore, tickets can be slightly over-allocated to compensate for this and very rarely, a preview may be overbooked by a few seats. Admissions are at the manager's discretion.
Showfilmfirst tickets are never sold and are not transferrable. If you have paid for this ticket, it is not valid - please contact [email protected] for further information. No Recording.
There may be security using NightVisionGoggles in the cinema. If you attempt to use a recording device during this screening, you consent to your immediate removal from the venue and forfeiture of your recording device and its contents. Occasionally you may not be permitted to take mobile devices into the screening. Full terms and conditions can be found at: http://www.showfilmfirst.com"

Hehehehe, I hear you, thanx, lol. :-)

Was hoping that it would be more like the Cineworld card and include a discount on food/drinks etc too. My local Odeon (Swansea) is £8 a pop, so I'd have to go three times a month to make it worthwhile, and I don't think there are enough tidy films coming out to do that. Shame.
Swansea here too, always go with someone else so would need to go 4-5 times to just break even compared to meerkat. Plus the Vue is 5 minutes walk away which has more films as you said and better facilities.
The other week the guy said this was coming though and meerkat could be used with it, I'll probably see Batman vs Superman there when it comes out so will ask and post if that's the case.

Cheers!

Just rang odeon and been told you can't use it with meerkat 2 for 1 so that's not good
You were given incorrect information - You CAN use the Limitless card with the Meerkat 2 for 1 on a Tuesday and Wednesday

Do you have any proof of this? I'm getting mixed messages about it. Their Twitter team seem to say the same in regards to it. Although, to be fair they seem to be getting a little confused with some of the details.

As well as someone on a different thread saying this:

"I emailed to ask and they replied saying it won't work with Meerkat 2 for 1:

Thank you for your email.
No, unfortunately you can not use Meerkat Movies with a Limitless card as it is 2 separate offers/promotions. When it comes to The Meerkat Movies promotion it only applies when a purchase has been made.
If you would like to visit

Any evidence to the contrary?

Would be interesting to know this too. In Swansea the other week, the guy at the till mentioned something about a monthly pass and we can use the meerkat code for 9 quid. At the time limitless wasn't launched, so was a bit confusing what he was on about, asked Odeon on Twitter and they said it's 2 completely different things, so it's strange where he got his info from, unless he just assumed it could be combined.

I always go with my wife or dad and always use meerkat, so would need to go 4 times a month to just break even if it wasn't possible, plus we have a Vue too, so probably not the right offer for me personally, sounds like its tidy for people not using meerkat though.
