OP .. "There are some bad reviews on this product ... "

That's because of it's '50/50' healthier eating health benefits, etc?.

That's all?, a minor really ..... hehehehe. :-)
Nice one OP. :-)

Asda Great Yarmouth must have had too much stock, they had loads reduced (whoops stickers) down to 38p and then 17p.
I picked some up last Wednesday. Glad to learn it's still going though!

I haven't had bread for weeks. Used to love a bit of toast but nowadays it goes straight to my belly fat seconds after ingesting.

...and the relevance of this post is what?
eslick
cheap so hot but without trying to sound like an apple thread its terrible bread.

It is UK's best selling bread for a reason.

And to get it at the price of store brand "value" loaves is a bargain.

Awful bread imo.
Care to mention a better product ?
Roberts bread is by far the best, fresh and tasty, normally 2 for a squid in Asda
But does it have the qualities of 50/50 ? i.e wholewheat bread that has a smooth texture which is ideal for toasting ?

I've actually taken a liking to Tesco's wholemeal bread which is also 50p all year round, but this nonetheless is still a good deal

I was lured into Iceland under false pretenses! I went to get some Kingsmill Thick sliced bread but when I arrived there the poster offer was for medium bread only!!! The thick bread was £1 or 2 for £1.50. What's going on Iceland , what's going on???
Funny how most of the comments criticising this bread don't realise that the preservatives have already addled their peanut brains!

IMO the best everyday bread that doesn't turn into a soggy mess or go stale quickly is Aldi Best of Both and which is always 45p

And the best for white sandwiches is Hovis Farmhouse.

Irrelevant of my opinion or anyone else that quite clearly doesn't know what they are on about - this and Hovis is very unlikely to ever taste stale - always appears "wet" to me.

Good deal for branded loaf and much cheaper than the other major stores.

Just get the Aldi one everyday and save 10% lol
SCOUSEKEVIN
Wholemeal loaf has nice malty taste, cracking cheese sarnies.

Apart from bloomer bread/ some form of proper bread, I can't stand white bread, too tastless.

Shame this exists as it encourages waste as people get a second load that they don't really need and end up throwing away food they didn't need to buy as tempted by such a cheap second loaf.
Or you could do like i did. I gave the other loaf to my sister who lives a few blocks from me.

Sharing is caring. :p

But your sister doesn't live a few blocks from me or I'd be round there more often ;)

slice open and fill with a little cooked apple and brown sugar.. yum
These are a bit strange, but I quite like them. As mentioned, it's a bit like a square, fruity, wholemeal pita bread. 50p is about right though as they are pretty small.
Didn't like the Berry at all. Eat one and donated the rest to the garden wildlife.
Yeh did wonder if that was idea, but found that a faff- & for the record I work in a shop where these were the upsell very recently, we had a very poor uptake on them, & those who did give us feedback on them were mostly disappointed.
evenmorehonestjon376
No good- it says to put butter on them but they're coated in teflon it seems, as butter just slides right off!
Weirdly, & others agree with me on this, they all smell really good when you open the packet & also when they're cooking, but the taste is really mild.
You make a pocket inside and put butter inside

Taste mild as there is only 2g of berries per toastie oO

Quite nice but 50p is the right price.

so shopitize & tcb are the same with both dividing the weekly offers so you have to shop twice on separate receipts to claim from both apps so double the effort.
what's the point
Now I have three apps to deal with for groceries - Shopitize, TCB and CheckoutSmart (Clicksnap is more or less the same as CheckoutSmart so haven't bothered with it). I find cashback hunting fun so don't mind, and also CheckoutSmart and TCB groceries i think don't require a scan of the product only the receipt, so can try to get claims for products I haven't bought and get free cashback.
Oh hass123 I would really appreciate it if you did not make such comments where you are suggesting, that you are going to fraudulently claim cash back for items from these cash back sites that you have not purchased! That is not good practice... :|
Not my fault it works ;)

What about the poor wheat farmers and bakers? How much are they getting paid to supply this?
I'm sure Kingsmill are doing ok out of it. they are not market leader so need to price competitively. wheat gets brought on futures markets like oil or gas so the farmer has already been paid. a portion of the wheat will have come from Canada so given the current exchange rate bread will rise in price shortly!

Can't you tell a sarcastic humorous comment when you see one. DUH.

well the way retailers treat suppliers in this country and the way dairy farmers are struggling it could have been a serious point. duh.

Horrible false tasting junk, what adult or decent parent buys/eats white bread?

How exactly is it "false"?

The difference in taste is largely down to the the flour, fresh bread made with white flour tastes a lot closer to white sliced than wholemeal sliced.

Yum! Another low quality bread laden with mould inhibitors, improvers and chemicals to aid the high speed mixing process, and low quality British wheat. My favourite.
I think everyone on a deals website prefers expensive bread made from imported wheat that takes longer, uses more resources to produce and goes off quicker too. :p
Seriously, I don't understand why people virtue signal on a money saving site.
British wheat is an inferior product, Warburtons owns it's own wheat farms in Canada. It's nasty/low quality bread.
fyi - I'm a trained baker.

But that means you know the purpose of those extra ingredients in a mass produced bread and the market it caters to. It just seems a bit harsh to criticise a product that way.

What is wrong with British wheat?
Best of both my r's. It's just light brown bread. You won't experience any pleasure of white bread at all - which after all is the entire supposed selling point of this.
skull66de
Personally I won't buy Kingsmill because it is Halal certified, when I queried them about this and asked why they couldn't just use vegan cert they said because they wanted to assure people no pork product is used in their bread, Vegan certification would this.

Then why on earth are you here? If you know you won't buy this bread, why post on it - in fact why are you even looking?

Find a bread you like - a deal you like - then post on that! That is what HUKD is about, finding deals (the clue is the 'D' in HUKD)

It says orders over £60 so spend £60.01? To get the £20 off for new customers
Also if you set up a new email address as a new order you can get £20 off a £60 shop using this code AFFVDXFMYA
I can't see a date but the offers change quite regularly maybe they remove it once so many has been giving away?
I'm gutted as I missed out on 3 new offers as I got my shop yesterday

Got a couple packs of Pringles from Morrison's and had issues with getting the items recognised on the receipts!
Claims in on both accounts after several attempts! The 'clever robot' was having none of it. lol
The clever robot likes to keep us on our toes... X)

Same here. For the first time I'll now alert the contact us feature to say. Does anyone have good experience of using this? I've also got a 'needs action' from months ago that I can't get rid of! Will see if they can delete it out.

Yes I've always found them pretty efficient at dealing with issues. They generally transfer the cash back in question to your PayPal account if you have had trouble uploading

How do you know what stores are under certain cash back items?

Unless it states on the offer that it is only available at say Tesco for example then it's restricted to that Supermarket. Otherwise the offers are available at all the Supermarkets / Stores listed within the app. You can check by clicking 'select offers' and either picking all offers or a particular Supermarket... X)

8 years in Allied Bakeries in Gateshead makes me vote cold. REAL bread got just 4 ingredients : water ,flour, salt and yeast. If you using surdough starter, list of ingredients is even shorter: flour ,salt, water (surdough starter is a mixture of rye flour and water left for natural yeast to grow). Do not believe in "dark" breads - its colour is artificial - thanks to maltone powder. Bake your own !

Awful taste. Get the Morrison's instore bakery bread reduced to 9p in the evening. Far better.
Subjective. Good deal if you want this bread. For anyone who is a regular shopper @ Asda can you let me know whether you can get the Morrisons bread thats mentioned above?
For anyone who can read there is a better alternative. Bake your own. Only three to five ingredients for a basic loaf depending on your recipe choice. Plus the sourdough bread I bake lasts almost a week.

Thanks KiKai as always for your timely analysis of where best to exploit this week's Shopitize offers.
Unfortunately Shopitize is playing up today
- my Waitrose milk/Bertolli offer after taking forever to recognise the milk barcode the upload went straight to Review without even a 2nd photo demand!
- my Guinness from Sainsbury wasn't barcode recognised come what may - emailed them with photos to get the database updated and got reply that...
"Unfortunately at the moment we're experiencing some technical difficulties with the app, we're aware of the problem and are working hard to get everything running as normal as quickly as possible."

I personally think Warburton is the best, but as a staple it's fine.

I tried to take your advice and used it as a staple... All the posters fell down.

Going back to blu-tack. I don't trust staples anyone.

There were also leaflets thru the post for £2.50 off £25 spend and £5 off £50 spend @farmfoods.:)

Question - do you get more cashack if you buy more of the same item eg if you buy 2 Nutellas, do you get 40p x2 or does it only work once?
Thanks!!!
Hey Coffee100 welcome to the wonderful world of Shopitize. Most offers are a one time cash back offer only and will disappear from your app once your receipt has been uploaded. The Bahlsen Offer is a Multiplier showing 2 meaning you can claim that offer twice... X)
Thanks!
I'm excited to see if this works! It's an amazing concept. How do shopitize earn money? Do the supermarkets pay them?
You're welcome Coffee100 and it definitely works and I agree Shopitize is amazing. I'm not entirely sure how Shopitize earn money but I would assume they have built up relationships with various Brands and subsequently offer their members those brands products as opposed to having a direct relationship with the Supermarkets. But I could be wrong... X)

Shopitize are sometimes a bit rubbish responding to problems. I had one thing which I bought on Thursday I think it was (milk) and when I scanned it in, something went strange and it put it through to emailing them as there was an error (didn't even see what it was...), then on Saturday, I had my problem with a receipt that wasn't clearly printing, so I sent it as a question saying was it ok or not... presumed not, but wanted to clarify (still said Sainsburys, and you could just about see what things were, and it showed the price).... got no reply to that either, so presume those have all run out now. Sometimes the replies can be really quick, but neither of those got a reply, so assume they're both dead now. Bleh. :(
Hey Toonah I know not getting a swift response from Shopitize can be very frustrating but they have a huge backlog of receipts and are dealing with these issues & queries simultaneously. They have assured me that they are working as quickly as possible under the circumstances of being short staffed. They will respond to your queries so keep a hold of your receipts... X)

Ta for that. I keep all my receipts now for all these things... I have a stash! Shame it's not for interesting things.. hehe

Their website shows 200g Doritos - maybe they've updated it now?

this asda deal is actually one of my favourites. you can get lots of different loaves incl. seeded, granary etc and as I'm the only one who eats seeded bread in my household i can get pancakes/waffles/crumpets/muffins etc for the kids as the second item
Isn't the whole point of these for people who wouldn't eat a full loaf? Seems a bit of a daft promotion.
Double the crusts :(

Excellent work as always KiKai.
As others have mentioned the TCB S&S Pumpkin free (to £3) is capped : is anyone aware of ANY way you find out if/when the cap is hit and a submitted receipt won't get validated ?
I'm thought I'd guessed a way in that the offer still appears on their list at:http://www.topcashback.co.uk/SnapAndSave/Offers
but clicking Continue went to a TCB error page, but then I tried other products and they too went to an error page :(

I think with TCB,if the cap has been reached then the offer will get blacked out and it will say Expired next to it.

However TCB not tracked it in my account,so I re-uploaded again today just to make sure.

Kingsmill bread is normally 59p in farmfoods if you can't be bothered claiming this back.
Not all places have a Farmfood but is useful for those that do.
Stingy cashback this week, not really worth all that hassle for 10p :D It will cost you that in electricity, data upload, time, effort etc.
Probably only claim for Kingsmill this week,as need bread anyway.

Aldi and Lidl have both improved their own loaves in the recent few months and are 49p or 55p depending on store/current offer, both are really nice now and on par with leading brands in terms of quality.

Does that mean Asda doesn't sell the galaxy bar in this size.
Mysupermarket doesn't seem to think so and I didn't see any in my local Asda yesterday.
Thanks

Galaxy appears to be 60p (15p) across Tesco's, Sainsburys & Morrisons (not Asda) or 3 for £1.20 (75p) in Tesco's.Bachelors Super Rice is 86p (61p) or 3 for £2 (£1.75) in Tesco, 80p (55p) in Sainsburys or 50p (25p) in Asda & Morrisons.
Does that mean Asda doesn't sell the galaxy bar in this size. Might have to look in local co-op.
The Werthers and Galaxy are both on the "3 for £1.20" deal at Tesco, meaning you can get those 2 plus another bar of chocolate for ultimately 65p. Not bad! :3
